While I often gush (truthfully) about the safety of the Chinese society, the fact is that 1.4 billion people… a HUGE number… has it’s fair share of crazies and misfits. And from time to time they cause trouble.
On 11 November 2024, a man drove his SUV into people on the exercise track at the Zhuhai Stadium sports center in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China, killing 35 and injuring 43 more.[2]

The driver then attempted to die by suicide by cutting himself with a knife; he was taken into custody and sent to a hospital.[2] The man is believed to have been motivated by anger over a recent divorce settlement.[3] Videos and coverage of the attack were censored online. Details about it were not released until the following day, a delay that drew heavy criticism on Chinese social media platforms.[3][4][1] It is the deadliest vehicle-ramming attack in China since the May 2014 Ürümqi attack.
Last month aa 63 year old man bought a huge SUV Jeep. He paid for a complete reinforcement of the front bumper and grille. And then drove over to a Zhuhai public area where the “dancing grandmothers” were dancing, where the children were skating, and where couples were dancing. These venues are filled with people. Hundreds of people.
He gunned the engine, plowed through the fence and sped at high speed into the dancing grandmothers (in an attempt to kill his ex-wife), and then afterwards, to anyone he could see.
Eventually, some heroic Chinese bystanders got onto the Jeep worked them selves in, and fought with him. He tried to kill himself with a knife, but the bystanders restrained him and all of Zhuhai was a-buzz in shock and horror.
There was heightened security in Zhuhai, which was to host a major civil and military airshow the next day, the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (Zhuhai Airshow).[7] About 19:48 (GMT+8)[8] on 11 November 2024, the attacker drove an SUV at 70–80 km/h (43–50 mph) into people while around 300 of them were exercising at the Zhuhai Sports Center running track.[9][10] An eyewitness said that the driver drove in a loop on the running track, striking many people.[11] Some victims were wearing sports uniforms of a local exercise group.[12] According to a witness, most of the victims were middle-aged or elderly people in exercise groups. There were typically six or seven groups walking at the sports complex every day, accompanied by music. The loud music may have muffled the initial sounds of the attack, leaving people little time to react.[13] The architect who designed the fitness center told Lianhe Zaobao that vehicles are not allowed on the track, which has stone bollards and fences set up all around it. He suspected that the perpetrator drove into the area from the other side of the stadium.[14] On 12 November, Zhuhai Police said that the attack resulted in 35 deaths and 43 injuries.[2] On 13 November, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China said that no foreign nationals were among the victims.[15][16]
According to a police statement, the suspect was a 62-year-old divorced man with the surname Fan (Chinese: 樊).[2] He was arrested while trying to flee the scene.[6] He was found unconscious with wounds to his neck consistent with self-harm in his car and was taken to hospital for treatment.[2] Police said that Fan entered a coma after he cut himself in the neck and chest with a knife.[17][18] Early reports claimed that the attack stemmed from discontent over the financial settlement of his divorce.[10][2][1] Journalists have noted China's economic downturn may be a contributing factor, suggesting relations between the trend of random attacks and the economic downturns and rising social pressures of the country.[22] The vehicle used in the attack was a Beijing BJ40 bought from a local dealership. The BJ40 is a large off-road vehicle weighing about 2 tonnes and worth around CNY 200,000 (US$31,000). Fan purchased the car with a loan a week before the attack and picked it up on 10 November, the day before the attack.[23]

Shortly after the attack, many local residents went to hospitals and blood banks to donate blood, forming long queues overnight.[24][25][26] A makeshift memorial was created at the location of the attack, but Chinese authorities quickly began removing wreaths, candles, and alcohol placed there, while cordoning off access to a makeshift vigil area.[3] The police at the location told visitors that there were "hostile foreign forces with malicious intentions," according to the South China Morning Post.[9]

Local officials including the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Committee Secretary and mayor arrived at the scene to oversee the rescue operations and establish a task force to expedite medical treatment for the injured, investigate the attack, and support the victims' families. The Zhuhai Sports Center issued a notice at around 9 p.m. on 11 November, announcing the immediate suspension of operations.[27] General Secretary of the CCP, Xi Jinping, along with Premier Li Qiang, issued directives on the evening of 12 November, calling for all efforts to treat the injured, severe punishment of the perpetrator according to the law, and measures to mitigate societal risks.[28] Huang Kunming, CCP Politburo member and CCP Secretary of Guangdong, held a series of video conferences following the attack, including a special session of the Guangdong Provincial Committee for Building a Safe Guangdong.[29][30] On 12 November, Japan's embassy in China warned its nationals about personal security issues in China, advising Japanese people not to speak Japanese loudly in public.[11] Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi expressed condolences and sympathy for the victims and families, and stated that no Japanese citizens were among the victims according to current reports.[31]
In the aftermath of the carnage, we have some 35 people dead, and another 42 wounded and requiring hospital procedures.
Immediately the head of Zhuhai security was fired; sacked. Career ended.
The replacement director took the following action…
- Locked down the crime scene, and forensically studied it.
- Secured the criminal, and he is in a medically induced coma until it is time for his judicial reckoning and probable death.
- Police and security are now at all public venues on rotating shifts when crowds gather.
- The social services are beginning to serious vet people with latent emotional or mal-adaptive behaviors and provide treatment for them.
- And huge cement barriers are placed around all public areas to prevent this kind of thing ever happening again.
Here’s a picture of the ones near the community building in my tiny town of Tanzhou. Taken last night.

You can see that there are two barrier lines.
Anyways, I welcome the fast and quick actions in this matter.
Now there is a lot that I can say about this. For instance, these barriers do not permit the dancing grandmothers” to haul in these huge concert speakers to dance to.

Now, only the speakers that they can carry are permitted inside.

So while still loud at the public venues, the huge ear-bleeding noise of jet-engines no longer exists at the plaza. And believe me, it is a real problem. Solved!
Another thing is that there are crazy and bad people all over the place. China is no exception. In fact, I argue that more systems need to be put in place simply because the Chinese population is do darn enormous.
In the case of this particular asshole (the 62 year old man) apparently he lost his wife and family to gambling. So she divorced him when he sold his home and cars and children’s education funds to pay off his gambling debts.
Now, six years after the divorce, he got some money, bought the Jeep.
Reinforced the front into a ramming-machine and ran over his ex-wife and her girl friends while they danced, and went on a killing spree.

So he had “emotional issues” and his problems only got worse.
You know there are other incidents. Same profile.
About six months ago, a 57 year old man crashed through a kindergarten and started stabbing kids, and people until he was subdued. He killed three people, and cut up another five.
What happened…
- Sentencing and death.
- Security training of all educators at the schools.
- Two armed police at every school.
- Placement of additional barriers near the school gates.
And you can see it. I can. My daughters school has just a contingent of guards. They rotate, but are regular police.

Now there is something different going on here. Mass killing events are common in the United States, but they are usually done by kids in their teens to twenties. While in China, it is much rarer, but is done by older men in their late 50s and 60s.
I find this interesting, but I have no idea what the trigger issues are. Obviously there is something wrong with the system for young males in the USA, and something wrong with the older males in China. Stuff to think about.
*sigh*
Today…
Russia, being a bigger country with a better economy than Ukraine, is unable to defeat Ukraine. Does that mean that the Russian military is not that powerful as they show?
Israel with it’s unlimited financial and weapon backing, is unable to progress 1 inch in Southern Lebanon and Gaza and it’s fighting against literally guerrilla militia forces armed with sheer innovation and Iranian indigenous weaponry
After 13 months!!!!
US couldn’t break Vietnam or hold any part of Vietnam beyond 6–8 weeks
After 73 months!!!!
By comparison the Russians have captured 26% of Ukraine by land area and hold these parts and have made these parts Russian and issued passports to these people living in these parts
Against a Ukranian Army of 700,000 chock full of weapons from 12 Nato nations and a continuous refill of Drones, Diesel and $ 132 Billion to this date
I would rate the Russians as the MOST FORMIDABLE FIGHTING FORCE ON THE PLANET
They believe in their fight
They fight because they believe they are fighting against Enemies of Russia and they are fighting because they know the enemy wants them destroyed and their country broken to pieces
It makes them FEROCIOUS and it’s why they inevitably beat back everything the West can throw at them
Same with Hamas, Houthis and Hezbollah
They are fighting for their lives
The NATO armies don’t believe in their fight
They have no idea what they are fighting for
They don’t believe Russia or China is a threat to them and they know this quite well
They are fighting for money and for because they are soldiers who take orders
Same with Israeli Soldiers who are not all psychopaths and who are clueless as to why they are asked to kill women and children all the time
Number of deserting Israeli soldiers increasing every hour amid Gaza war – report
According to reports from Israeli media outlets, the IDF currently faces a looming crisis. The number of Israeli soldiers abandoning their posts has steadily increased and has now reached 2,000, according to recent data.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.anews.com.tr/middle-east/2023/11/24/number-of-deserting-israeli-soldiers-increasing-every-hour-amid-gaza-war-report/amp
Their desertion rates are almost 24% now
Why is Ukraine’s army facing a desertion crisis?
Thousands of men have abandoned their posts, blaming poor conditions on the front lines.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2024/10/21/why-is-ukraines-army-facing-a-desertion-crisis
Same with Ukraine
Their Soldiers don’t believe in their fight
The Eastern Ukranians want Russia
The Western Ukranians know that Russia won’t come for their lands and homes do they would rather give up Donbass to Russia for peace and protect their homes in the West even more
Only a bunch of corrupt American politicians and Ukranian politicians are forcing them to fight a war they are increasingly tired of fighting
Russia has demonstrated a military capability that anyone with half an understanding of military matters would know about
They have fought brilliantly amidst all their constraints and overcome 16,000 sanctions
The Americans are at their WEAKEST POINT today in the last 40 years in terms of Global Hegemony
Its a changing world
What happened to the F16s? We never hear anything about them in the Western media nowadays so I guess they have all been shot down, have been destroyed on the ground or flown home as useless. I could be wrong of course. Anyone know for sure?
What do you expect?
You expect Ukraine to fly an Ageing F-16 into Russian Controlled Airspace and attack missiles and fly back?

It’s a suicide mission
It was just PR and nothing else
Israel couldnt even bring their F-35s into active Iranian airspace and that was against Local Iranian Air Defense
These are Pantsirs and S-300s
The F-16 belongs to an older age and a different kind of battle
Today it can bully a few goatherds, women and Children
My guess is Ukranian Pilots are still being trained for the F-16 and some have been destroyed in the Airbase attack

Why do you think China banned the export of certain critical minerals to the US?
The banned minerals are important to make weapons, semiconductor etc.
Taiwan
USA keeps selling weapons to Taiwan. Interfering into China’s internal affairs. Blocking the China-Taiwan reunification. Causing potential conflict/war between China & Taiwan.
World
US Congress Research Services reveals that from 1798 to 2022, USA has 469 military actions overseas. In 240+ years since US independence, there were only 16 years when USA was not in a war.
After WW2, from 1946-2001, in 55 years, there were 248 wars around the globe. 201 of them ie 82% were instigated by USA. Since 2001, USA has instigated riots/wars in 80 countries. Lots of people died or lost their ancestral land to become a refugee. Lots of human rights have been violated.
Other than war, USA would bribe locals to instigate unrest eg protests, riots & coups against any government who dont bow down to USA. For instance, 56 coups incl assassination in Latin America alone since WW2.
Conclusion
Banning export of these minerals to USA will slow down USA from making weapons. It will save human life.

S. Closson
I stand up and take a gander at my neighbor for the next century, and of course it’s fucking Mark. I’d been seeing him for the past few years, but we broke up about a month ago, right before he went into his deep freeze. We weren’t sure we’d ever see each other again, and figured it would make things easier in case we were sent with a different group, or one of us didn’t survive the process. The logic was sound, but neither one of us was thrilled by the decision.
Mark wanted me to name my kid after him if he didn’t make it, however, I told him that I didn’t think my future husband would appreciate me naming our baby, “Dumbass” very much. I was acting all tough, like the idea of a future without him didn’t bother me, but in all honesty, I’m relieved he’s here. I observe his vital signs for a while, which are displayed just under the nameplate and smile a little as I see good numbers and a steady rhythm on the monitor.
“Ms. Azul,” the lab tech says, startling me slightly.
I turn to face him, and stifle a laugh when I see his boyish face and bleach white coat covered in grease from the machine.
“Yes, sir?” I say.
“It’s time, Ms. Azul.” he says,
“So it is,” I reply as I pat Mark’s pod goodbye, I feel the cold of the metal against my palm and I shiver a little more. “Let’s get this show on the road, then. I’m bored of the cold.” I say.
“Yes, mam.” he says, leading me over to a small table covered in an assortment of various medical gadgets.
I’m then covered from head to toe in a series of electrode-sized stickers in order to transmit my temperature, vital signs and O2 levels to the outside world from my ice cube. Once he’s satisfied with the placement, the lab tech leads me back to my own pod and presses a hidden switch that causes the pod door to activate and lower open so that I can enter.
For a fleeting moment, I wonder what the tech’s name is. His badge is obscured by his crinkly white body suit, but I decline to ask him. I’ll never see him again anyway after this, so what’s the point of learning it? The next time I’m conscious, he’ll likely be dead anyway. I climb up the small set of stairs that have been built into the upper-inside portion of the chamber door, then use the frame of the pod itself to hoist myself inside.
The inside of the stasis pod is covered in various wires, but underneath the bundle is mostly smooth and metallic, save for the rivets lining the walls throughout. It is reminiscent of one of those old battleships I’d seen in a stack of feelies my ancestors had smuggled with them.
The ship we’re inside of now is seamless and elegant, but this thing is anything but. The bottom of the pod is strangely warm, which is a welcome change. I can’t tell what I’m standing in though.
The tech keeps blabbing at me about my heart rate, but I wish he’d just get lost so I can panic in peace like a normal person. My heart feels as if it’s about to rip itself out of my chest so that it can make its great escape from the confines of this depth-charge looking prison, so I breathe in deeply and exhale until I feel my heart rate finally begin to lessen.
“110…100…95…and 80! Alright, it seems like we’re back within your normal range. Are you feeling okay, Ms. Azul?” The tech asks. Unlike most medical technicians, his concern feels genuine.
“I’ll be doing much better when I’m a freezer pop, sir. Can we move this along?”
The tech adjusts his glasses and nods. “I, uh, of course.”
He produces a translucent blue tablet from underneath his arm and started flying through the various menus and sub menu as if he were playing some kind of video game.
“Okay, all systems fully operational and standing by. Just give me the word when your-”
“The word is given,” I say, cutting him off. I don’t want to give myself the chance to back out.
“As you wish, best of luck on your mission.” the tech says with a smile.
I nod curtly and attempt to smile back, but it feels foreign on my face.
The tech presses a button on his tablet and the hatch begins its slow descent, sealing me inside. Viscous teal water begins pouring in from hidden spouts around my ankles and I feel my breath catch in my throat. Even though I haven’t eaten in over a week, my stomach feels like it’s going to shit a brick.
More calming breaths and I’m able to zone out my discomfort and instead focus on the rising water/jelly. At least it’s warm. I look up and see the respirator being lowered down on a pneumatic arm for me to grab, I snatch it by the headband and quickly shove it onto my face and adjust the strap so I don’t drown.
The liquid is past my navel now and rising fast. Before I know it, it’s over my head and I am completely enveloped by the goo. For the briefest of moments, I feel a freezing cold run over me, then there is nothing but darkness.
Suddenly, I am engulfed by a strange red light as the goo water drains down around me.
Something must have gone terribly wrong for me to be unthawed this soon after the process. Did we hit a meteor? Was the hull integrity compromised? Were we attacked? I’m hesitant to remove my mask in case there’s an issue with life support systems. I look around for the tech, but he’s nowhere in sight. I hope he’s okay. My door activates, dropping with a dull thud onto the smooth white tiles below. I position myself on the top step and take in my surroundings.
Besides the red lighting and the lack of a tech, everything looks the virtually the same. I cautiously lift up my mask and take a breath. As I do, the red tint disappears, I guess it was just on the mask. Weird. Everything smells sterile, like hand sanitizer, but it’s otherwise kosher. I toss the mask down behind me, causing it to whip back into the pod, then cautiously start down the steps. I almost trip, but catch myself before I fall.
Why are my legs so damn wobblily?
“Woah, woah, woah. Easy, Tiger!” Shouts a deep, familiar voice.
Only one person ever called me tiger.
I see Mark running up to me where tech-guy had been and I’m confused, but happy nonetheless. Mark unfurls a warm looking blanket he had tucked under his arm and quickly wrapped me up like a burrito before pulling me close to him.
“It’s been too long, babe,” he says, and I can tell he means it.
“Not that the sentiment isn’t mutual, but you’ve only been on ice a month, Mark.” I say.
“You have no idea, do you?”
My eyebrows furrow as I step back from him.
“No idea about what?” I say.
Mark grins and passes me a beat-up old cardboard box. The crumpled top is coated in a thick layer of dust. As I wipe it away, I see handwriting on it, but it’s so faded it is legible. After a second, I’m able to make out my name. I toss the lid to the side and withdraw a vacuum bag containing my neatly pressed uniform. At least I didn’t have to worry about wrinkles. Thanks, tech guy.
“Tiger, we made it. We’re here.”
I free my uniform from the confines of the vacuum bag and quickly get dressed before what Mark says really registers with me. I guess popsicles don’t need to dream after all.
“We’re here?” I say, looking at his face for any sign that he was lying, but there are none.
I follow Mark out of the confines of the stasis chamber and we quickly move through another section of sealed doorways before making it to the back deck of the ship. There are a few other people I recognize chatting with one another at a table in the corner, but I can’t think about them right now, I have to know if this is for real.
I feel the color drain from my face as I gaze out of the viewport and see it. It’s Planet Earth. For the first time in my life, I’m looking at Earth with my own two eyes. The continents look different than they had in the photos from the database. They are smaller and less green, but this is our ancestral home, without a doubt. The bright blue color of the expansive ocean is even more vivid in person.
It is absolutely gorgeous.
“Holy shit, we’re here,” I say quietly, stepping closer to the viewport. “We’re…home.”
Like the liquid from the pod, I feel the weight of the doubts and worries I’d been harboring all this time fall away from me as I bask in the presence of this magnificent fucking orb.
Yes, the odds are certainly stacked against the successful re-colonization of the planet. Humanity fled from the repercussions of their disastrous tenure on Earth over a thousand years ago, and what they left behind will certainly be difficult to undo, even after all this time—but we are not those people. We are better, not just because we have to be, but because we need to be in order for us to rebuild a world worth living in.
We have absorbed the lessons learned from humankind’s abrupt expulsion from this wounded paradise, and now, at long last we have the chance to prove it.
How many percent of the world population is actually obsessed with 🇺🇸?
The whole world knows the US as a barbaric nation that thinks it is exceptional in that it has the right to invade nations and do regime change if the leader refused to be subservient and submissive to the US! Everyone knows iy is the most violent and dangerous country on earth and should a nuclear war happens it must be due to the USA!
Obsessed yes but not in a positive manner at all! It tried to used their media to portray the US as the angel and others as the evil but the real majority of the world thinks better than that! Sure their slave nations such as Germany, Japan and Korea like all slaves cannot and won’t dare to accept their and their their dog nations like all the Anglophone and Saxons former despicable colonial masters cannot talk about their atrocities and crimes! But their views are bias and naive!
If you are a proud Yank I want to let you know we the world knows not only think that the US is a shameful hypocrite and we see it through! We won’t allow these regime change and barbaric behaviour to continue one more day! You guys can rand and rave all you want but the world cannot be bullied by you and your dogs and slaves! The world and planet is not owned by you or you bandits and tribes! You are but just one nation, the most oppressive nation but you can do what you want to Americans but out if your shores we will jointly and severally stop you!
Carbohydrates, saturated fats, seed oils, essential nutrients, and ultra-processed foods could all be central topics for reform in the next U.S. Dietary Guidelines, set to be updated in 2025. These guidelines, mandated by a 1990 law to be revised every five years, are crafted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). They shape dietary advice for policymakers, nutritionists, schools, businesses, and families through 2030.
The upcoming revisions will take place during Donald Trump’s second presidential term, with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as health secretary. Advocates like Nina Teicholz, founder of the Nutrition Coalition, see this as an opportunity for significant changes. Teicholz, who has worked to reform the guidelines for over a decade, told Newsweek she is in discussions with the Trump administration and the Make America Healthy Again movement to influence the 2025 guidelines.
Top 10 States Collapsing Fastest in America Due to Poverty and Homelessness Crisis – Documentary
Russia has criticized President Joe Biden’s decision to pardon his son, Hunter, who was facing sentencing on federal felony charges related to gun possession and tax violations. The move marks a reversal of Biden’s earlier stance, where he had stated that he would not intervene in his son’s legal matters.
On Sunday, the president issued a “full and unconditional” pardon for Hunter Biden, according to a White House statement. *Newsweek* has reached out to the White House for additional comment.
Russian foreign affairs spokesperson Maria Zakharova condemned the pardon, calling it a reflection of the U.S. being “a caricature of democracy” in an interview with the pro-Kremlin newspaper *Izvestia*. Additionally, Kremlin propagandist Olga Skabeyeva, host of *60 Minutes*, shared her view on Telegram, sarcastically stating, “Biden has pardoned his son Hunter, according to the White House. Democracy.”
Is it right to spy on your partner phone?
This is a complicated answer, and deserves careful consideration.
Firstly, if you are SINGLE, and involved in a monogamous relationship, it’s not proper.
I would avoid doing this thing because it is both of your personal space. Everyone needs privacy. And this is very true if you are single. Many single people are in the dating pool, whether they have announced it to their partner or not. So privacy is foremost for those who are single. Thus all phone conversations are SECRET.
Secondly, if you are ENGAGED to be married, the needs of your future spouse requires careful consideration.
An engagement specifically announces a marriage in the future. At this point, a promise of long-duration monogamous though legal means is a significant step, and the prudent thing is to place limits on the use of each others phones. I suggest mutual understandings that the phone conversations, and chats are CONFIDENTIAL. Trivial viewing of them by your partner is to be avoided, but if there is a significant concern on the part of your future spouse, the contents needs to be shared, or else the marriage date needs to be reascended.
Thirdly, if you are MARRIED, you have full right to your partners phone.
This if a fundamental attribute of the marriage contract. A contract of the unification of two single people into a family unit. This sharing of confidential information is fundamental aspect of marriage. As well as legally and philosophically, religiously and spiritually justified. Thus, for married couples, the phones are SHARED.
There are variations of the above points. And I am not here to parse the myriad spectrum of variations of the relationships between couples. But the rules listed above are straight forward and binary; “black and white”. They are crystal clear and have no ambiguity.
Can the US afford the new import taxes on Chinese goods?
Goods from China will increase in price by about 10% while goods from Canada and Mexico will increase in price by about 25%. The price increase goes into Trump’s government income.
Easy way to get some extra money for the government at the expense of the people.
Higher prices will lead to lower demand and this will be a loss for US companies that are making their products in China, retail chains that import products from China as well as some Chinese factories. Everyone loses except for the US government.
Expect some retail chains to close down and some freight forwarders going bankrupt. China will react to the new tariffs by stopping imports of agriculture products from the US, resulting in some farmers filing for bankruptcy.

How do you think Donald Trump’s pick of China hawks for top jobs in his new cabinet will shape US-China relations?
The United States is in free-fall collapse right now. It is failing at every level. And, thus, the only reason why the people haven’t stood up and revolted is because of the iron-grip control that the government has over the media.
Donald Trump really needs to perform emergency surgery.
To do this, he needs hard; roll-up-the-sleeves players. He needs loyal, abrasive, and even scary bullies to accomplish his tasks. And that is whom he has chosen. Every one of them.
Now, it goes without saying, but I will say it anyways; Everyone in the Washington Beltway HATES China. They are all China-haters. Have you watched the Congressional grilling of the Tiktok CEO? I suppose that this is the natural outcome of multiple billions of dollars over the last eight years in the anti-China narrative.
So that is what the USA is today; a nation of rabid anti-China haters. And Donald Trump picked or selected, the most aggressive, bullish of the bunch for his staff picks.
…
Of course, mind you, they will continue the Biden anti-China banter, and we all can expect more aggressive moves in and around China. Oh… to “contain China”, and to “fight for democracy, and freedom” and other such nonsense. Yeah. Sail to the other end of the world to pick a fight with China. Stupid shit.
But that is the United States today.
I know that many of youse guys don’t like my bluntness, but you all know it is true. All you need to do is look at a globe, and then scratch your head and ask “What the fuck are we doing way over there, messing with China?”
…
OK. So the United States is going to continue the Biden hostility against China, and the poking of the dragon will continue.
But China is ready.
The United States is not; it is at it’s weakest. There has NEVER been a weaker moment in the entirety of the history of the United States than now.
…
The outcomes;
- Poke the dragon, and it lashes back. It turns the American eagle into Sunday Dinner.
- Try to put the dragon into a cage. It melts the bars of the cage with it’s mighty flames.
- Try to starve the dragon. It burns all the fields that the American eagle nests in.
Everything is a losing move.
…
I understand what Donald Trump is trying to do, and why. But when it comes to Geo-politics, he needs diplomats, not bullies. A bully-approach towards China will fail to achieve his objectives.
I anticipate another “Anchorage, Alaska meeting”, only this time the Chinese response will be veiled and deadly. Do not fuck with China. The dragon has claws too.

Like Tyler? My mind fogs over, the humorous, quite clumsy, blond boy who had quite literally had to use duct tape after he broke his glasses for the third time, in one MONTH.
Like Dante? The ever sarcastic, dark-skinned, computer whiz, and genius in all subjects relating to tech.
A dam breaks inside of me and tears spring to my eyes as I crumple to the floor. I don’t notice the firm squeeze on my right arm. I don’t notice as others turn to stare in my direction slipping me looks of sympathy, pity, and dread. I don’t even notice as the professor calls my name. All I can think about is our little family. Sanna: dead, Reina; dead, Tyler; dead, Dana; repurposed for experimental use, Jonathan; repurposed for experimental use, Martin; expelled, Ximena; Stasis. They’re gone, only Ximena has a running chance of survival, maybe Joyce.
Strong hands grip me by the arms yanking me to my feet. I turn, finding myself face to face with one of the very guards that lead my sister down her path to the afterlife. I can only conclude that he has come to do the same for me. I do not resist.

The guards drag me down the hallway, the throat of the beast that is this foundation. They bring me to a sterile room at the end of the hallway strapping me to an operation type table.
I stare blankly as a woman in a pristine lab coat tests the bubbles in a syringe. Part of me is horrified, these will be the last faces I see in my present life. I will never laugh again. I will never dance again. I won’t even get to have my first girlfriend. At the age of 15, I’ll have died, having the only female I’ve ever kissed be my own mother. Pathetic, I startle a laugh out of myself.
Screw them all, if I’m going to die, I’m going to die laughing.
That was the last thought I had before the world went dark.

I didn’t expect to open my eyes again so you can imagine my shock when I find that the blinding light is NOT guiding me to the afterlife but instead is the light of the facility.
“What the,” I start out only to realize it came as nothing more than muffled groans. Clamps release from around my wrist as a clear fluid drains from the bottom of the chamber. Chamber? I didn’t fall asleep in a chamber.
Plastic breathing tubes remove themselves from my throat for what has to be the first time in 300 years. I gasp partly out of shock, partly because even after three minutes of sitting incomprehensibly, I hadn’t yet dared take so much as half a breath out of fear of shattering the illusion, but it doesn’t break. It’s real. And so is Jocey walking straight towards me.
Who are the winners and losers in the U.S.-China trade war? Will everyone ultimately lose, and if so, who will suffer the most and why?
China don’t and won’t lose if the US carries on the trade war! If the trade war reduce China’s growth form 6.5% to 5.0% It is only making Growth more sustainable and more manageable. But while it may do that it is also cutting US growth by 2.5% to 1% and that for a nation with debts of 36 trillion dollars growing at 1 trillion dollars every quarter very unsustainable and it will destroy the USA! So bring it on any day! The world will have a market without the US overconsumption and that is a good thing not a bad proposition.
But your homelessness will grow so will unemployment and poverty! Real income will come crashing down! Inflation will hit 25% per annum at least! You will waste resources producing stuffs you are not good at while wasting opportunities doing stuffs you ought to focus on! Who is the loser, you can answer it yourself!
Do you believe in the demise of the West-based world order, and in the inevitability of the rise of multipolarity and end of West’s hegemomy? I think 2024 has been a watershed, geopolitically speaking. Do you also agree?
Yes, I believe that.
Yes, I agree.
BRICS is making great strides in breaking free from the Western hegemony.
We’re witnessing the UK and EU coming apart at the seams.
The USA has lost all credibility on the world stage. Even most of its allies are turning against it.
South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol declared Martial Law without his own political party’s support. It is illegal and against constitutional law. Parliament met and voted against the martial law decree. What do you think went wrong?
Well, an infamous president that imposed martial law was assassinated by his own security tzar.
He has a name that is synonymous with Korea in my mind.
PARK CHUNG HEE.
Whatever happens next, YOON SUK YEOL will be a Korean pariah for a long time to come.
In short, he screwed up, and the opposition was preparing to impeach and remove him from power.
He responded by declaring a self coup, imposing martial law to block parliament and hijack the political process.
If the soldiers fire on the crowd, all bets are off.
If there is a standoff, it depends on what uncle Sam does.
If the army switches allegiance to parliament, it is game over for the president, but there is no guarantee peace will be automatically restored.
This will probably repeat in Europe as governments collapse like dominoes.
I don’t know what to make of it all yet.
Too much too fast.
The gods must be crazy.
