What i mean when I say “My Mantid”
Cats are not tied to a specific body like humans are. Their consciousness can hop and jump from on "container" to the other at will. So if you have a beloved cat, and it dies, you can pretty much "feel" where it will appear next.

I love the cat talk. Just sitting with mine sleeping soundly. These animals are amazing. My whole life I hated cats until one fateful day.
@pissed lizard I miss my cat. We had this beautiful little tortoise shell girl. She used to come for walks with us when I'd take the dog out. Wasn't more than a few months old. Got her from a shelter. One day she just didn't come home. my wife heard some dickheads down the road screeching their tyres and yell "fucking cat" but at the time we didn't put two and two together - we think that was her that got hit after a few weeks of her not showing up. We used to have a king size bed that took up two corners of this small bedroom we had it in and she used to shit right in one of the corners so I'd have to crawl under and clean it McGyver style. It used to annoy the shit out of me, but damn what I wouldn't give to have to do it again. And to think I used to think cats were too pretentious for my liking.
I am so sorry about your kitty. I swear, some people. I hope you see her often in your travels! I really do.

Weird. I didn't care for cats until they started popping up everywhere but especially just outside my house. I'm talking about two week old to two month old kittens every damn year. It was mystifying. Still bugs me. I figured it was the Universe trying to talk to me so I generally meow back to the street cats I meet. Sometimes they meow back and we go back and forth. Lately tho not much reaction to my meowings.
I haven't been able to understand cat language so I suppose it's harder than PLish.
Lol this is just so crazy! Our cat was sleeping in our bed until the moment I decided to get into this conversation. And then suddenly as if she's been there the whole time "Meeoow!"
It seems to me that cats choose their humans (it's not "owner") I don't think we can "own" a cat! My grandparents used to have a garden outside their town and in a little shed a cat gave birth to a few kittens. I was allowed to peek inside, then one day catmom would leave with her kittens except one. I found her in a bush and it took me an hour until she let me pet her. I was three at the time. Unfortunately we couldn't take her home. My Dad said no cat in an apartement just indoors. So my granddad took care for the kitten in the garden. He fed her for me for abou 15 years. She disapeared one spring I thought she was hit by a car. Then she came back before Christmas and stayed until she was old. My Granny says someone took her, and she then ran away and came back. And I think she's with me now again, because I can't lock our cat inside she just goes insane even if it's just half a day because she needs to go to a vet.
And I felt a presence as well. but not while meditating. My husband left for his hobby and there was something. I don't know if good or bad. Just something.
