Connection problems?

Silly question to ask, but have anybody else had problems connecting to MM? The is something rotten in the land of... You know, Denmark. Could not find https://metallicman.com, was forced to skip and jump to Moldova to connect.

So wave if you can't hear me!😂😂

I get a random internal server error from time to time. Waiting a few minutes has always let me bring the site up like normal.

Edit to add that the text has decided to randomly italicize today. Weird.

I just experienced the same.

The Axe forgets but the Tree remembers.

Interesting🤔

If someone is faced with a persistent "server error" or "404" message, you can usually sort it out with a decent VPN. I did a short survey and it seems that eastern European countries usually work best. India is always a pretty safe bet, but the free servers tend to be crowded->slow connections.

The way things are going, I strongly advise getting working knowledge on the dark web; what it is, and how to use it safely.

I kind of hope that all this is obvious to the Patrons of this forum. If not, help is surely available here!

Algorithms identify MM as a problem occasionally. They shut down, and then a "bigger fish" comes along, and then they ignore MM. As long as the articles are filled with girls, good, travel, stories, memes and some harmless videos, not only do the trolls stay away, but so does the hard-core internet police.

Maybe it is sometimes more simple as that - your content heavy posts (especially those with lots of embeded videos) just might be a scourge on the available bandwith !

A solution to this should be a lazyload mechanism on the video tags - a.k.a. a "click to load" video player.
Reduces the page load a lot, since the video file is only loaded when the user requests it
it could be quite simple to implement but one has to look how this can be built in the wp theme in use.

As always, if I can be of any help there please let me know.

Best regards, MT

Great idea. I am trying to make some changes to the website so that it's not so slow loading and bandwidth hogging. I might have to go radical. I don't know.
