@DM - HOW FREAKING PRECIOUS!!!

She is a ringer for my little farm hopper. The red hair, man… she looks like she is going to be SO much fun! I wish her life to be as filled with bugs, mice and a big fat widow to stretch out in!

@DK - Thank you for that. If it could only  be played on a loudspeaker worldwide, life may attract more honeybees than horseflies.

All of this I know to be true my wish directed to the kitty.

I know that we are all different, and it may not be very nice, but when I hear from someone that they either do not listen to music; or even worse, don't like music; I turn and walk away. I am moved to tears, regularly... even by tunes I have heard many times.

The songs, mainly with discernable lyrics, that affect me the most are easily identified by the words that remind me of my shitty youth; and how I denied propagating that cyclic horror with my own wonderful children.

Here I would just like to say that I was not physically abused, and I had food, clothes and a roof... but they, those that bore me, were not fit to be parents.  Mental abuse... I was a mess for a great many years, and didn't even know it. I HATE them.

70s British sci-fi Blake's 7 and the Old Empire.

I recently got nudged to start watching an old favourite from my childhood, Blake's 7.

From IMDB:

A group of convicts and outcasts fight a guerrilla war against the totalitarian Terran Federation from a highly advanced alien spaceship.

Wikipedia:

Blake's 7 (sometimes styled Blakes7) is a British science fiction television programme produced by the BBC. Four 13-episode series were broadcast on BBC1 between 1978 and 1981. It was created by Terry Nation, who also wrote the first series, produced by David Maloney (series 1–3) and Vere Lorrimer (series 4), and the script editor throughout its run was Chris Boucher, who also wrote nine of its episodes. The main character, at least initially, was Roj Blake, played by Gareth Thomas. The programme was inspired by various fictional media, including Robin HoodStar TrekPassage to MarseilleThe Dirty DozenBrave New World and classic Western stories, as well as real-world political conflicts.

The first episode is mind-blowing from a MM-follower perspective. Roj Blake, a former guerrilla leader, is captured and his memory erased. Then he is sentenced to life imprisonment for fabricated child molestation charges!

Eventually he and seven other convicts escape and battle the evil Federation which controls it's population through food and media.

The special effects are what you'd expect for late seventies BBC but the characters are what the show is really about. It was a product of it's time - anti-establishment ideals were popular in the UK back then, before the eighties "greed is good" mantra became all encompassing.

I hope MM has seen it and if not I'll contact you and sort that out.

No I have not seen it, but as a SF fan, it should be a very interesting mind blowing experience for certain.

This kitty rarely lays stomach up. She loves to be loved on but trusts no one and dont you dare try to pick her up. (Tortoise shells are such Divas.) I couldn’t resist taking a picture. The card laying underneath her says “Just my style”.... Maybe I will see more fuzzy belly since this has never been her “style” before now.

The Axe forgets but the Tree remembers.

Lovely photo.

Reminds me of my old cat Zumi who'd often do some extreme, but relaxed. stretching and appear to triple in length.

She never really bought into our human "laws of nature" and lived a life where things like gravity were optional "beliefs" that those clumsy humans were so sure of.

She knew better (as, I'm sure, all cats do!)

@alice Now there is our connection!!! Seems our cats chose meatsuits that relate! And you're not allowed to pick her up? Ours also chooses to be next to us than on. And she hates hates hates being locked inside (like before a vet appointment)...

Can imagining be called a daydream? If yes then prepare some popcorn, Otherwise I am equipped with a rudimentary but terribly effective protection, the unrelated dream of yesterday corresponded to the memories of my childhood and which blocks the information channel that I am trying to maintain intensively to achieve this protection based on the information available. The dream, I love you very much, I'm not asking you to love me just to understand why MM exists why the Estate does not tolerate the old empire why we are with a life and this free will, why the mantids are , why we can without all these stories, explanations and information arrive at the same results, only those who do not dissolve the effort or reject it without probing it do not measure it, fortunately the time exists to give them time to redo and can -being to learn and perhaps to be changing their conceptions of unknown realities, I adore you even if I too am shy. You have all already won.

Yesterday, looking at the mountains, I cried with joy, seeing a hawk, I was crying, thinking of the beings that I was crying, thinking of this waterfall of the world that I was crying, I am happy and a little proud, especially for that promised , I try to honor every second. I'm clumsy but looking to improve myself. This memory that a Buddhist missionary encountered on a train and listened to a stranger and so many others known and unknown. I know this value and you are living proof of it. Unpretentious I support the fight and will close like rufus the last one will

@mirri

Wow! She looks exactly like Annabelle! Very dignified kitties.

AB has to smell your fingers tips before a pet, and then she goes nose to nose.... like shes smelling my soul, or refilling her 9 lives Dementor style. Very “Jerry Springer” -esk mannerisms.

Her favorite hobby is to act like she wants to go out, run to which ever door of her choosing, stand there til you open it, then sike you out by turning right at the threshold and disappearing back into the house.... I fall for it every time! We are her pets, and here to entertain her.

Mine both have full climbing gear (of course), and when they are teasing at the door, they are also shredding the frame around the inlaid glass. Bastages!
