Just to clarify I don't see myself as an Alfa male, not at all. It's the opinion of others and not myself. I should have thought before I posted that, yes I should have.

I just saw this! I’ll giggle with you - I don’t seek a perfect love. I found that kind of love within my children. Is there such thing as a perfect love between a man and woman? You find balance maybe, but that’s about as deep as that kind of love goes. IMHO. That’s just me though. It’s the story the balance tells that one falls in love with.
Lets hope I don't have another foot in mouth moment lol. Mate the love you have for your children is different. Loving your children and them loving you is unconditional, good or bad or indifferent. Loving another is not the same, it has conditions. Understanding and compassion, team work, reading each others thoughts and emotions and responding accordingly, this needs both parties moving towards a common goal or at least helping each other achieve their individual goals. They grow together and nurture each other, sacrifice themselves for each other if necessary. Now the physical aspect of love is important, not sex but the comfort in holding each other softly and gently, looking into each others souls through eye contact, feelings that do not need words, emotional highs. It is a balance mate, a mutual one built from the need to be together and grow together. Also when two people that have this kind of love, not compromise but real love both feel it deep inside and become one. This is only my opinion hey and based on what, the love I lost all those years ago and what I felt in my heart. As you know I fell in love with my best friend, Corrine did not feel that way as she thought of me as a brother. I was half way there but not close enough. Mate you have not met that person yet hey for if/when you do you will certainly know it.....Who am I to speak of love anyway....Really

@alice i love the turning page song!! makes me wheepy every time. But the books and the films don't live up to that song (it was Twilight soundtrack)
@tas thank you for putting love into words! It's what I found in Vman. It's when you are tired and the other one takes over without you having to ask for it. It's you wanting to be the best you can be for the other one and knowing that that is enough, that you try everyday.
A while ago i translated a poem very rough (so please forgive me all Germans reading this) we had it at our wedding ceremony because we felt that Goethe was talking about us:
"This trees leave, who from the east,
been trusted to my garden,
gives secret sense to taste,
the way the knoledgeble enjoys.
Is it a vital being,
that is seperate in itself?
Is it two, that have chosen,
to be known as one?
