Quote from Ultan McG on October 13, 2021, 9:25 pmLife without a kitty or 10 would be quite a dull thing, indeed.
Not normally my thing to post this kind of thaang, but over the last few weeks the psychic energy I'm picking up from them has been pretty intense. Personality shifts too, and for the better.
I'm gonna have to leave em all behind at the end of November, and that'll be pretty tough, but they're well in with our neighbors, too, who'll keep an eye on them. And despite appearances they are surprisingly tough and mean as ####!

Is that limited to cats and dogs? I agree the cats do seem more sentient. I'm actually looking at birds to see if this phenomenon extends to other species. I don't get to see too many birds though, so it's a bit disappointing.

Quote from Ultan McG on October 14, 2021, 2:00 amI cant say I've noticed the other critters and we're wildlife rich round these parts.
I've always found the larger birds pretty sentient-- seagulls, rooks, crows and especially magpies. They're sure not afraid of the cat crew, unlike the little shrub dwellers-- Robins, thrushes, too many to name, who have to tread very carefully.
Horses; cattle; donkeys and mules; you only have to spend a while working with those big guys to discover there's a LOT going on behind those big brown eyes.
Sheep admittedly don't know all that much, but who's to say...sheeple, now, you can write them off.
I've pegged an increase in sentience as far as the cats go to the time of Metallicman's template reset report. Or thereabouts. Weird.

My big fat boy loves skin contact... more so than the soft warm blankets usually around.
