Meditation- to any one who tried and failed..

PreviousPage 13 of 14Next

I tried something different during meditation last night. I've been curious about opening my third eye and looking up various advice on how that can be done. I found an idea that since our heart is a battery you can use your hearts energy to help open your third eye. During meditation you do a session of heart coherence where you visualize breathing in and out through your heart area. Then visualize sending that breath energy up your back, over the top of your skull and down to the third eye area on your forehead. Then, with your eyes closed, look up at that area and focus on it. Release if it's uncomfortable or after a few minutes.

I did this last night. Initially I felt pressure, similar to sinus pressure, when I got to the point of looking up at my forehead. It faded and I saw in my right peripheral vision a white light slowly start to increase as if a door was opening. Then the door slammed shut really fast! I think I've found a technique that works for me. I'm just not ready yet to have that opened. Still, exciting progress!

Now to figure out what I need to learn so I can take that next step.

@pissedlizard @daegonmagus Yesterday before falling asleep I meditated again. I closed my eyes and try to watch the blobs and flashes move around. This way my Mantid presented him/herself. Anyhow, yesterday there was a tingling in my limbs and then I felt like falling and being spun around in a whirl. It almost got nauseous. Am I on the right way with that? What is next and how do I proceed?

@mirri I can tell you quite definitely and positively that you were on the cusp of entering either Sleep Paralysis/ hypnagogia or the void space (SP is usually the more common from here). What you need to do is retain complete control of your thoughts; do not let them wander off and focus on that swirling space in front of you. Do not move at all either; you have to remain still for atleats another 10-15 minutes. If you can do this it is likely you will either feel your consciousness "invert" and go back in towards your pineal gland, or you will enter sleep paralysis. The latter can be done in several ways; there is sort of a grey area when it comes to the transition. Sometimes it sort of feels like your eyes randomly open up and you can see your immediate environment through a hazy of uncomfortable paralysis, other times you just all of a sudden realise you are consciously observing 4D "space" - it really depends on how fatigued you are. Given you were meditating I am assuming you were more conscious than you were fatigued, so I would suspect it to be more like your eyes randomly opening. I am not going to lie, SP is uncomfortable and there will be things that will scare the absolute shit out of you but you need to try and relax through it. If you can do that you should be able to make it into the void space (trust me, you'll know when you are there). The tingling will turn to a numbness of your limbs entirely

I need to get back on my yoga and meditation. It's fascinating, or perhaps just a lack of willpower on my half, how once I start to feel positive changes from things I stop doing them and assume "that's it, job done, back to the bad habits!"

I had a personal breakthrough on my meditations yesterday and wanted to share. I've been doing some research on other abilities when I stumbled across this grounding meditation to help clear energy, provide protection and other benefits. I was going to wait until the weekend to give it a try and decided to try it out last night. It was an amazing experience, one I'm going to continue. This came from a post on Reddit. It looks like a lot but only took me about 10 minutes. Here's the technique:

Sit in a chair. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath. Feet flat on the floor. Hands separated and resting palms up on each thigh.

Create a grounding cord. This is a line of energy that connects your first chakra to the center of the planet. Your first chakra is a ball of energy about the size of a quarter that sits just in front of the base of your spine. Your grounding cord attaches to the bottom of that ball of energy.

Grounding makes your body feel safe, so you release energy more easily. Gravity pulls whatever you release, even your own energy, down to the center of the planet. No effort on your part. The center of the planet neutralizes the energy and returns it to whoever owns it. No karma for anyone. A virtuous cycle.

Nearly everyone goes to connect to the center of the planet the first time but stops at the soil, often making roots like a tree. This is a method that is taught in some martial arts styles, but it is not the best option for your spiritual development and healing.

So, notice the seat of your chair. Take a deep breath. Notice the distance between the seat and the floor. Now notice the distance between the floor and the soil below. Breathe.

Now notice the distance between the soil and the water table underneath. Notice the distance between the water table and the rocky mantle. Notice the distance between the mantle and the molten core below that. Deep breath.

Notice the distance between the molten core and the center of the planet. That ball of light at the very center of the planet is where you connect your grounding cord. Deep breath.

Say hello to the center of the planet. Do you get a hello back?

Notice the color and texture of your grounding cord. It may look like a line of energy, or look like something physical; a rope, a wire, a pipe, a tree trunk. Adjust it as needed to be in affinity with your body.

Getting this far means you've already released some energy from your aura and body. Now it is time to fill in the space that was created.

Create a gold sun over your head. Have it call back all of your energy from wherever you left it throughout your day and week. Work. School. Online meetings. Video games. Your fantasies about your future. Your regrets about your past. Wherever you've placed your attention. Just watch the energy come back and see if you notice where it came from.

Have the sun burn up and neutralize your energy. Then bring the sun into the top of your head. It will automatically flow into the spaces you created. Create a gauge to measure when you're full. Like a fuel gauge or oil gauge. You'll run better if you aren't a few quarts low on spiritual oil. If the gauge doesn't read "Full", bring in another gold sun.

Open your eyes, stand up, and stretch.

There is a progression with this technique. After grounding for ten minutes a day for a week or two, notice your grounding cord at the very end, while you're standing with your eyes open. Continue to ground with your eyes open and standing, and bring in another gold sun. Each day, increase the amount of time that you ground standing up with your eyes open.

After a week or two practicing this, add walking while grounded. Just notice your grounding cord as you walk. Say hello to the center of the planet while you walk. Bring in a gold sun while you walk. If you lose your grounding cord, stop walking and recover it. If you have to, sit back down and close your eyes and create a new grounding cord.

After a week or two practicing this, you're ready to take your grounding cord with you into your daily life. Shopping. Getting coffee. Wherever you go, you can ground. This, combined with a little amusement about seeing new things on an energy level, will keep you safe and sound.

After the experience I felt so much better and energized. Apparently I've been needing to do some grounding and didn't know it. I hope this helps other members.
