KTV’s are all over Asia. They are quite popular as places to dance, sing, eat and get drunk. Usually, it is within a rented room that is decked out like a 1970’s disco hall. You pay a set fixed price and it comes with food, beverages, and all sorts of amenities.
It’s a “safe space” for fun and games with other adults.
