More stories of personal heroism in China. This is part ten.
Here are some more videos of personal heroism. These videos all take place in China, and show examples of how average, normal, everyday people (or dogs and cats) can make a difference. When the calling strikes and an emergency occurs, will you be the one who turns their back, or will you run and offer help? Will you be the one who stays playing on the cell-phone, or will you lend a helping hand? Will you be the person who will make a difference in the lives of those around you, or are you just going to fade into the background.
Make a difference. Be like Rufus!
Please kindly note that this post has multiple embedded videos. It is important to view them. If they fail to load, all you need to do is to reload your browser.
These are all micro-videos of very short duration. From ten seconds to three minutes. I would suggest that you, the reader, allow them to load to get the full experience.
Video 1 – Bus driver stops and offers emergency side help.
Here we have an emergency and the bus driver stops and diverts his route to help…
Video 2 – Old man carried to safety.
Here we have Rufus helping a old man to safety off the road. Notice how everyone else is just driving by and ignoring the old man. Yet, this guy stops his car and goes forth and helps him.
Video 3 – Police carry sick person to the ambulance.
Here, the police have a man in distress. They pick him up. Carry him to the ambulance and get him to a hospital stat! This is how a functioning community works. It’s not “us vs. them” for political expediency. It’s about helping each other for the general good.
Video 4 – DD driver has passenger with a seizure.
DD is the Chinese version of Uber. Here, the passenger starts to have a seizure right there and then, the driver pulls over to the police to get him immediate medical attention.
Video 5 – Police kindly relocate an old man selling vegetables.
China has zoning restrictions. You just cannot go selling things just about anywhere you want.
Here we have an old man that is trying to sell some vegetables for some small change. The police tell him that he cannot sell there, and then politely and nicely pack him up and move him to a place where he can sell his goods. It’s all about HOW you handle things.
This would never happen in the USA. The old man would be jailed, if not shot outright.
Video 6 – Rescue of a man drowning.
Here’s a rescue of a man in distress in the water.
Video 7 – Everyone pitches in.
Well, this truck got into an accident and is blocking the road. What’s a people to do? Well, they all stop the traffic, get out of their cars and go forth and right the truck so that it can get out of the way and life could continue on as normal. Community… an important aspect of the human condition.
Video 8 – Keeping our community clean.
Speaking of community. Here’s a gal and a guy righting up a trash can and trying to keep their streets clean and safe. You see, if everyone does this the entire community benefits and people can live their lives in health and happiness.
Video 9 – Passenger steers the bus while driver has a seizure.
People get sick. And, in this case, the bus driver is having some kind of a seizure while he is driving. Lucky for him a passenger takes the wheel and guides the bus to the side to the road.
Video 10 – Sometimes all that you can do is pray.
Life can be hard. It can be sad.
And sometimes…
Sometimes…
All you can do is pray.
Thank you for reading this.
God bless.
Conclusion
We do not know when the calling will come.
However, when it calls, you must take action. It will not make you wealthy, rich, famous, or attractive. But, it will make a difference when you are judged upon death. Be the Rufus. Make a difference. Help others. It’s our highest calling.

Here are some other similar posts on this venue. If you enjoyed this post, you might like these posts as well. These posts tend to discuss growing up in America. Often, I like to compare my life in America with the society within communist China. As there are some really stark differences between the two.
