Rude boy on a dirt bike

When I was working as an engineer during the 1990’s I spent most of my time living in mobile homes. These flimsy boxes were perfect for my lifestyle of hustle and layoff, and move to another city.

But, gosh, the mobile home complexes that we found ourselves in, were inhabited with some very ill-mannered people.

One time, when I lived in “West Elizabeth, PA” we had a mobile home at the edge of the mobile home community, and there at 9am every weekend, this little 13 year old boy would go around and around and around my home on his dirt bike. Only around my home. No other homes. Just mine.

Those things were noisy, and I couldn’t figure out why he chose my home to endlessly circle.

One day, I met his mother.

She said, “Oh, I thought no one lived there. Do you have a problem with him riding around your home?”

Well yeah.

DUH!

We had a few words and he stopped. But not until I was really upset and angry over the non-stop noise and the endless feeling of living in the God-damn middle of a freeway.

So many people are inconsiderate.

Partly because they are rude, and partly because they are stupid. Though drugs might play a role…

You cannot fix either. All you can do is move…

…on.

Todays…

Why is India NOT a global manufacturing hub like China? What is stopping India?

Couple of years back, I was having a conversation with an Indian origin entrepreneur in Silicon Valley who is making quite lot of innovative products. It is an early stage company. So, my conversation was about the possibility of starting his firm’s manufacturing units in India. He said something insightful

“I change my product designs quite often. And I would need rapid prototyping abilities to execute my business effectively as it is an evolving field. I make a circuit design, upload the specs to a firm in Shenzen, pay the money. Within four days the prototype is at my place in Palo Alto. All processes can be done online. Imagine doing this in India. Unless you are a Samsung or LG which has a massive team to handle all these customs, import export stuff with tons of paperwork, you will end up spending ages to do this in India. Shenzen is a one-stop ecosystem for anything electronic in the world. The supply chains and distribution mechanisms are super efficient. I don’t think India will ever reach there”

After this conversation, I’ve had multiple conversations with small and large players. Small players lament about the customs, import – export processes in India. Large firms crib about the absence of supply chain base of input for manufacturing. Our metrics of measuring ease of business is horribly skewed towards the efficiencies of business for a large player like Apple or Samsung or say a Honda. We don’t focus on making things easy for small firms like the one which I mentioned . Unless we crack that part, we’ll never be able to build a true ecosystem like Shenzen thats attractive for the large corporations

NIGER COUP: JUBILATION IN NIGER AS 400 FRENCH SOLDIERS LEFT NIGER IN PEACE THIS WEEK. NOT BY WAR.

What’s the rudest customer service experience you have ever had?

I worked in Veterinary medicine for more than 36 years and we always dealt with some real doozies!

We had a lady come in with a chow for regular vaccines and after she signed in, she sat on the bench waiting to be seen. One of my techs walked over to her with a clipboard and pen in her hands to get some information. While she stood there speaking with the woman, her dog came over (he had been straining at the leash trying to get out the door) and with no warning (not even a growl) grabbed hold of her hand with his teeth and began to try and rip her arm off! He shook his head, bit harder and dragged her to the floor!

Instead of trying to get the dog off of her, the woman began screaming at us for abusing her dog as we tried to break the dog free of my tech’s hand and 3 of us were bit trying to get her loose!!

Instead of an apology for owning an aggressive dog and not restraining it when she came in, the woman screamed at us that ‘”You people had no right to attack my dog like that and it’s your own fault for walking up to my dog!”.

My tech ended up with 4 broken bones in her hand and a massive infection that put her in the hospital for 4 days, and in the end, the woman actually had the nerve to file a lawsuit claiming animal abuse against our hospital. She wanted more than $25,000 in emotional distress!

We shut the hospital down on the day of the trial (there was NO WAY we were going to settle) and every staff member who had been involved was there to testify.

In the end, the woman was forced to pay all court costs and lawyer fees, the cost of the medical treatment for every person who was injured, the cost of shutting down the hospital to come to court and was given a fine by Animal Control for having an aggressive dog. She was also told that should the dog ever bite someone again, not only would the dog be put down, but she could be arrested and jailed for having a known aggressive animal in her home and not properly containing it.

‘Won’t sit idly…’: China claps back after Germany insinuates ban on Huawei, ZTE 5G parts

A day after reports claimed that Germany was considering a ban on parts made by Chinese manufacturers Huawei and ZTE in its 5G networks, Beijing has responded. The Chinese embassy in Berlin said the country will not stand by idly if the German government goes ahead with the proposal.

“If the German government really decides to move in this direction without proving that Chinese products pose a security threat to Germany, we will not stand by idly,” the embassy was quoted as saying.

“Should Germany unjustifiably exclude Chinese companies, this would not only be a violation of the principle of fair competition but would also harm Chinese companies and Germany itself,” it added.

What has Germany proposed?

Germany’s interior ministry has chalked up a proposal under which the said Chinese companies will be eliminated from the country’s “core network” as part of a “de-risking” strategy. The ministry is expected to submit its proposal to the cabinet next week.

Apart from issuing a full ban on the new parts made by Chinese companies, the German government will also extend the ban on those parts that have already been installed. It wants to start by phasing out parts made by Huawei and ZTE in Germany’s “access and transport network”.

What’s a point in time when you realized nothing would ever be the same again?

My doctor noticed that I had lost weight. “Are you on a diet?” No. “Having any eating issues? “ Sometimes meat doesn’t go down. “We’d better look.” This was April-may, 2014. Gastroenterologist did an Endoscopy. No warning, “You have Esophagael Cancer, you have an Oncology appointment tomorrow.” Chemo and radiation started almost immediately. They told me not to look on the internet at the statistics, so I did. 95% don’t make it 5 years. The stories were pretty grim. I sold my milling machine, lathe, TIG welder and a couple of old Honda mini bikes, if I was going tits up, I didn’t need some scammers trying to rip off my wife when I was dead and gone. Chemo and radiation were pretty straight forward and I didn’t really have any issues, I continued to work while I was getting treated. CT Scans, PET Scans, Xrays, things improved inside. August 18, 2014, 6am, I went into surgery for a gastroesophagectomy, removal of most of my esophagus and part of my stomach. Up to this point, I had lost 70 lbs in about 5 months. The surgery was really rough, and I couldn’t eat for 3 days after I woke up, then it was cottage cheese and tomato soup for about 2 weeks. I was in the hospital for 15 days, 7 in ICU. I’ve had eating issues since then (coming on 4 years), and it was 3 years before I could eat a steak. I’m back up to about 190 lbs (from 158 at the low), it takes me about 3 hours to eat a meal, but my boss and the people at work, work with me, I’m usually eating all the time. But I can only eat about 1/4 or 1/3 of the amount of food I used to eat, and very little meat, food hangs up. I’m also susceptible to aspirating (inhaling) food into my lungs, which makes me really susceptible to bacterial pnuemonia, which I’ve had at least 1 each year since surgery. All CTScans and PETScans have been negative, my doc says, “Next time if (when) the scan is clear, we’ll call it done.”

But I ain’t dead.

Life has changed considerably. I very seldom eat in restaurants any more. Sometimes I have to eat standing up, something inside seems to get pinched off when I sit down and eat. I don’t sleep as well as I used to. My doctor seems to feel I’m one of the 5% that makes it (she said the actual number is about 15% now, the first numbers I read were old stats). As far as attitude goes, I don’t worry about things any more. I just roll with it and try to enjoy myself. I’ve gotten another lathe and welder, looking for a milling machine, hopefully I’ll be making parts for a good long time.

What is the hardest thing you have ever done?

I recently was released from an Alabama prison. I spent two years in prison.
I was sent there when I was 17, I am 19 now. The Alabama prisons are a horrible place. I was a sheltered child growing up. When I was 17 my father forced me to steal from some people because we didn’t have any money. I did not want to do it, my father forced me to. I begged and pleaded with him.
I used to love to play video games. I haven’t now played games in years, since I was probably 15. That part inside of me sort of died.
I was and am still tall and kind of thin.

The first place I went, was one of the worst places, the juvenile wedge in the Mobile metro jail. A wedge holds eight cells, and is supposed to only hold 2 juveniles per cell/per two bunks. But there were sometimes up to 4 people per cell, forcing kids to sleep on the mats on floor and right near the toilet. The 16 and 17 year olds in Alabama jails are horrible and the most violent of all inmates. I can look back and understand the readers thoughts, they probably are curious to know how age 15-17 year olds could be so violent. But, Alabama, if you have actually visited, is a very rough place, especially the projects. I was in this jail with the teens who were the ones that committed the worst crimes, 1st degree robberies, murders, arson, theft, rape and molestation.

I was the only white boy. They always attempted to steal from me and rob me, and literally terrorize me, throwing piss on me, or spitting in my drinking cup.
They let the inmates fill up the other inmates drinking cups.
The first week there, I bought a $20 phone card, and when I came back to my cell the black kids were waiting for me in there, predators. They had put a towel over the cell’s only light, to darken the cell, so the guards couldn’t see what was about to happen. And they surrounded me once I had walked back into the cell. I told them I would not give them the phone card, I actually intimidated them.
I was grabbed from behind, and put into a choke hold, then I blacked out. I woke up from underneath the steel metal desk with blood dripping down the side of my face. The phone card was gone.

After that, I spent an entire year in a cell by myself, because I had to be separated from them. Throughout that amount of time, I saw over one hundred fights, and was sleep deprived quite a lot. The juveniles would scream and yell and cuss each other out ALL the time. They were animals. They would talk about the most hateful, vile things, and how ‘gangster’ they were, drug dealing, robbing and killing. It was utterly saddening. Especially at night, they would beat on the metal over and over and over, and rap, all of them together. (In no way am I racist. Nor prejudice towards a certain taste of music, I like rap myself sometimes.)

During the time I was in jail, I heard news about my father. Months later, a Correctional Officer actually was the one to give me news that my father had been arrested himself. He had stolen from more people, the same exact way he had made me do it. And was in jail. he would finally pay for what he had done to me. But, there are no laws protecting kids from what their parents force them to do, sadly, Quite a horrible thing for the legal system to do to kids.

The juvenile wedge was located right next to the suicide wedge.
The loudest wedge in the entire 2000+ jail. That is where they put the drunks, the crazy psychopaths who had just murdered their whole family, and even more nutjobs. One man gouged his father’s eyes out with a spoon.(I can reference that, as well.) They would beat constantly and scream and moan all night long.
I remember specifically the one’s who would never stop beating on the clear plexiglass walls of the suicide cells. They were in there naked, (all of them). At one time I saw my own father in there, after he had gotten jumped in another wedge and his nose broken and both eyes completely blackened. They put him in their for “protection”. I remember hearing the guards running in there and beating the hell out of those people, and hearing the inmates scream. I was right next to those cells. I lost lots of sleep over the constant noise,
BANG BANG BANG. BANGING over and over and over, for hours, all night. It was just like a lunatic asylum.

I did read a lot of the christian bible, when I actually believed in that kind of stuff. And other books as well, It was my only solace then. And learning, I yearned to read and learn.
I was constantly a target with the black people, because I was a white boy.

I was deeply miserable, and so I got the doctors to finally give me sleep medicine after many months, “Remerons”, which made me feel like I was slow when I took them, but sleepy. They took a very long time to wear off.
I started to slide them in the inside of my mouth when the nurse would give them to me, and I would spit them out when I got back to my cell, And hide them in a hole in my inch thick mat. I had no pillow, just a wool blanket.
Before I went to prison and was waiting in limbo in jail, I thought there was a chance that I might be sent to prison. So over a long amount of time, I started to collect those sleeping pills just in case. So I could protect myself, if I was given a long amount of time in prison or whatever.

Things got more miserable, I stopped a young black kid from committing suicide in my cell at one point. I turned 18 in jail.
After that, I mixed in with the adults. I finally received my time, It was two more years… and I would be going to prison.
I couldn’t do it anymore. I was utterly miserable and sad, And I lost the will to want to be alive. I wanted peace, just once in my life. If you call death peace.
One night I took all the remerons I had collected, I first waited for my cellmates to begin playing cards, and then I took around 100 of them, and heated up some hot water, and crushed up some of the pills and swallowed them all down.

It was the worst, bitter disgusting taste. I still have a hard time swallowing pills if I ever have to chew them. I wrote a note telling my mother I loved her and wished I could hug her. No one knows the truth or what really happened. No one cares to know.
I hadn’t seen her in 8 years. I got up on my top bunk and rolled over on my side on my mat. And laid there. I prayed to God, asking to be with him, I commend to you my spirit “Lord”. I was completely terrified of going to hell, but I still did it, I was in so much misery.
30 minutes later my body was almost paralyzed. And my body was pulsing and throbbing. I began to feel very sick. I tried as hard as I could to hold my stomach in. But I had to get up and go to the toilet to vomit, and my whole body was almost paralyzed, I could not jump off my rack. I couldn’t move.
And then I blacked out, into nothingness. Silence. Blackness.
There was no bright light.

Over the course of that period, while I was in jail, I had many inmates/criminals try to hurt me.

Later, I woke up in a hospital handcuffed to a stretcher, I was on life support.
My cellmates had gotten scared and told the guards, once they had seen me black out. I obviously did not want my cellmates to know what I had done. But I was forced to throw up, and black out.

After my ill recovery, I was thrown into the suicide wedge, right where I remembered all those people.

I soon was shackled and shipped to prison, where there was no A/C at all, there is none in the Alabama prisons. Prison is even worse. You are forced to work all day.
And the temperatures inside the dorms get to 100+ degrees. Everyday, all day long, during the hot long Alabama summers.
Misery. I remember pools of sweat collecting on my mat, while I tried to lay down. I would have to strip to my underwear to stay cooler.
The black men would look at me, and some would masturbate at me, while I would sleep, or do it right in front of me. They call it “gunning you down”.
It was a fact that the African american men were specifically like this.
A lot of the time when I would try to take a quick shower, they would all watch me, to see when I would go in. And then go in the shower with me and watch me, and ‘gun me down’, while I bathed myself quickly.
Quite a dehumanizing thing to have done to you.
I wish I could’ve knocked one of the those motherf*ckers heads off.
But I knew I had parole coming up, And I might make it, If I never get into any fights, or disciplinaries. Which was even worse. Because, I needed to stand up for myself. It was so crowded in prison, there was no privacy. Nowhere.
Showers were completely wide open, toilets were in rows of 30 lined up.
No stalls, Those did not exist.

I tried dearly to avoid the showers, and the sick people. I saw a lot of sick stuff in there. The white gay boys were the ones that almost always were on the “receiving” end of the action.
Homemade hypodermic needles, and one of the main drugs, called Suboxones, they were these thin sublingual films from a pharmacy that were smuggled in, they are a narcotic analgesic and they dissolve fast. The drug addicts broke up and disolved the film in a spoon and either snorted or injected it. I did none of that. I had never done drugs before.

I was in prison for a long time.
After two years of being in there, and finally making parole, I was released and transferred to another state. I was granted immediate release from parole at least three months before, but it took them a very long time to “find” the paperwork. They would not have done it or found it, if a trustee inmate had not given me a special phone number for the parole boards office, that was not “public”, and I got my family to call up there over 50 times over a course of months.

I realized my weaknesses while in prison, my puniness as well.
A lot of me died slowly inside, I do not think about girls as much. I was a young kid, I had only ever had one girlfriend in 8th grade. I had to drop out of school after that.

When I was in prison I longed to just touch a girl’s hand, just to have someone love me as friend. I yearned for a companion, I was so lonely.
Words could never express.
My heart felt like it was literally dying.
I also missed listening to music so much, I loved music a lot.
I don’t feel things anymore as much, I tried to feel love and compassion, but my heart has died slowly. I still do love people, I have tried to keep that alive,
I really try my best. And I love to give people gifts with the money I have now.

Things don’t mean as much at all to me anymore.
I am somewhat of a stronger guy now, I fear nothing.
I also lift weights and exercise everyday, that is one thing I will always do.
I am still trying to find what I am going to do with my life and career.
And find meaning in life. I do enjoy computers a lot, evidently.
If I had to go through those two years again, I don’t believe I could do it all over again.

How will Huawei’s 7 nm breakthrough undermine confidence in Western sanctions?

Huawei breakthrough is more than the 7nm as widely perceived in the media since the annocement of Huawei mate 60 series.

Huawei had invented and patented a 3D Finfet transistor that enable it to be fabricated using a tweaked or modified DUV machine with mass production. The 7nm Kirin 9000s chip with 3D Finfet transistors consume less power and can achieved equivalent performance of 3nm chip. It can easily be refined and improved with 5 nm or 3nm designs which l believe will be used in Kirin 9100 chips and achieve better performance.

Hisilicon had utilized the Chips and design Kirin 9000, Kirin 9000s Soc using it’s Taishan architectures and system.

The Kirin 9000 series are 8–12 Taishan core CPU working together with GPU and Huawei Balong Modern. They are comparable to Qualcom snapdragon 8-2 chip set and Apple M16 and M17 chip set.

Beside the Kirin Soc the Huawei mate 60 series also used in house indigenous technologies like Ximage, Nearlink and Satellite connectivity technology.

Ximage is Huawei photo taking and processing technology, one of the best in the world.

Huawei breakthrough is far from just handphone technology, Huawei will be the top platforms for AllAI and All Cloud and All IoT. It will be the smart system inventors that empower human leveraging on technology to improve life and productivity.

What is the best thing you came across on the internet today?

This is Miss Nigeria Nyekachi Douglas in the Miss World beauty pageant. You must be thinking that she is so happy because she won. No, she didn’t win the Miss World title but rather her friend Miss Jamaica Toni-Ann Singh won Miss World title.

She is being praised for her heartwarming reaction despite losing Miss World After miss Jamaica, Toni-Ann Singh was named miss world, Douglas jumped up and down and did a happy dance as she congratulated and hugged her friend .

Be happy for other people, regardless of what it is for. It will cost you nothing.

I am blown away with her reaction. And she won my heart.

We should learn from her and be happy in the happiness of others.

How do you prevent a clingy relative constantly coming to your house and wasting time and annoying the children and you?

I’ve dealt with this. For YEARS. My salvation came one day when I was particularly under the gun to get a few real priority tasks around the house and yard done. I was about to leave town and this particular afternoon was my last chance to get things straight before leaving. When said relative showed up, unannounced as per the usual, I said “Great! You’re here” and immediately handed them a lawn bag, went out the door, then hollered back at them to hurry up!

I worked them into the ground…..and kept pressure on with family gossip about THEM as well as promised I’d never turn down their help again….. how I couldn’t wait to get back to town and have them help with winterizing, cleaning gutters, etc.

They never popped in again. That was 17 years ago.

  • Scientists said this unprecedented technology can overstep US sanctions and make China a new leader in semiconductor chip industry
  • Plans are now in progress to construct a huge particle accelerator to help researchers put into practice the cutting-edge technology
  • China is exploring new avenues to bypass restrictions on lithography machines, which are used in the production of microchips. Using particle accelerators to create a novel laser source, researchers are laying the foundation for the future of semiconductor fabrication.

China sets out to develop EUV lithographic ‘cannon’

China is exploring the use of a new extreme ultraviolet (EUV) light source in making its own lithography facility

China to use EUV in making it’s own IC fab facilities

China is exploring the use of a new extreme ultraviolet (EUV) light source in making its own lithography facility but technology experts said such an ambitious goal may take many years to achieve.

Over the past few days articles and videos have gone viral on the Internet in China claiming that Tsinghua University has made breakthroughs in steady-state microbunching (SSMB) technology, which can create an EUV light source with a power several times higher than that of ASML’s EUV lithography.

They say the future launch of a SSMB accelerator, nicknamed “lithographic cannon ,” will help China bypass the export controls of the United States and the Netherlands.

These came after Huawei Technologies on August 29 commenced the sale of its flagship smartphone Mate60 Pro, which used a 7 nanometer chip produced with Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp (SMIC) N+2 processing technology and ASML deep ultraviolet (DUV) lithography.

We understand that it’s difficult to have more breakthroughs in chip-processing if we follow the current technological path,” a Chongqing-based writer says in an article published by the Huxiao Business Review on September 16. “It will be more feasible to walk on a new path.”

He says Tsinghua’s suggestion to use the SSMB technology in lithography can help China break the technological blockage of ASML.

He adds that what Tsinghua proposes is not a lithography machine but a huge factory that involves a lot of land and workers – resources that China does not lack.

What was the weirdest wedding you have ever attended?

My live-in nanny Jennifer moved from Oregon to Yuma, Arizona to attend college and take advantage being near her fiancé, Ryan, stationed at the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS). Jennifer was energetic and very Mormon, interviewed quite well and had impeccable references. If you are thinking this is all going to turn out bad; you would be 100% wrong. Jennifer was a dream nanny, excellent student, exceptional teacher, my confidant, unapologetically pretty, my foster children loved her and her voice… she could sing like an angel. Jennifer and I are still in touch on social media.

Jennifer moved in with me the fall of 1995 to begin as a nanny. She was so looking forward to caring for Brittney, attending a new semester at Arizona Western College (AWC) and finally spending some time with her fiancé. There was a two-day registration window for her to sign up in January 1996 for the spring semester classes.

On the first day at registration, when she was signing up for a choir class, the teacher informed Jennifer about a music scholarship that would cover all her expenses. Jennifer would have to audition for the scholarship. As I said, Jennifer had the voice of an angel and she easily passed the vocal audition for the scholarship. The kicker; the music scholarship was reserved for Arizona residents (2 years or more) or family members of military personnel only; so, she didn’t qualify. Worse yet, the deadline for qualifying for the scholarship and class registration was the very next day.

Jennifer has never been the type of person to sulk or quit; she was undaunted. She certainly couldn’t qualify for the Arizona resident part; she’d only lived in Arizona for six months. She told her counselor, “If I need to be a military family member, then I will be a military family member by tomorrow.” Jennifer called her fiancé Ryan, told him about the scholarship and announced that they were getting married NOW so she could qualify for the scholarship.

When I came home that day, Jennifer explained about the scholarship and she would need a few hours off to get married. I was absolutely impressed by her resourcefulness. Not once did she address this as a problem; and, she actually reveled in the opportunity the challenge represented.

Ryan, who was still working on converting to Mormonism, was fully on-board with the wedding plan. He and Jennifer could have that big religious wedding for their families later. They just wouldn’t tell them they had gotten married already. Since Ryan was in the Marines, he needed approval from his commanding officer first. Ryan managed to get it done right away and meet Jennifer at Yuma County Clerk’s Office to get their marriage license.

Thank goodness Arizona does not require blood tests; Jennifer is needle-phobic and jokes that a blood test might have been a deal-breaker. Jennifer couldn’t have picked a more perfect town for a quickie marriage. Yuma has quite the reputation for many movie stars flying in from California for a quick marriage; including, Loretta Young, Claudette Colbert, Alice Fay, Mary Astor, Jean Harlow, John Barrymore, Errol Flynn and even cowboy Tom Mix… and more.

The only wedding officiant they could find on such short notice was a judge at City Hall. His docket was full but Jennifer and Ryan somehow convinced that judge to perform the marriage ceremony at 9am the next morning; scholarship and college registration deadline day. I was impressed how quickly Jennifer got it all arranged in a single day. When Jennifer wants to get something done; there is no stopping her.

With no advanced planning for her wedding, Jennifer certainly hadn’t planned for a wedding dress. Ryan could get away with wearing his Marine Corps dress uniform. Jennifer began to go through her everyday-go-to-school outfits and she modeled in front of me, “Do you think this looks wedding-enough?” No matter how resourceful Jennifer had already been; she really had nothing that looked anything like a wedding dress. In my mind; a woman needs a wedding dress on her wedding day. So, I told her I’d buy her a dress as a wedding present. Although it was already late in the day, we immediately went shopping. We stopped near one wedding shop and she motioned for me to keep driving. She insisted, “This is a small event, no need for expensive.” Jennifer got so lucky; she ended up finding the cutest little white lacy wedding dress on a JC Penny’s discount rack for under $40.00. We couldn’t believe it; it was like it was waiting for her and it couldn’t have been more perfect.

On the morning of the 2nd day of college registration, at 9am, she and Ryan stood before the judge at Yuma City Hall and got married. One of Ryan’s friends and I were the witnesses. We took Polaroid insta-print pictures of the ceremony and also a posed-picture with the judge. They had no real wedding rings, but did exchange a couple of Cracker-Jack rings at the ceremony. Ah, such a tribute to young love at its finest.

Now most bright-eyed wedding couples would have a big celebration and then head out for an exciting honeymoon. Well, that’s what’s very different about Ryan and Jennifer. Ryan immediately reported back to duty at the MCAS. Jennifer, still wearing her wedding dress, with a copy of a marriage license in one hand, marriage certificate in the other and backup pictures of the marriage ceremony, drove with all her determination out to AWC to capture her scholarship.

Jennifer’s first stop at the college was the music teacher where she got her scholarship stamped qualified and approved; Victory! Then she stood in line at the registration office, still wearing her wedding dress, and finished registering for her college classes; Victory!

Whenever I hear the expression, “failure is not an option,” it always reminds me of Jennifer. You gotta love Jennifer.

Oh SH*T, NATO just crossed the line and Putin knows it

What is the smallest thing a person ever did for you that impacted your life?

The year is 1974 and I am the junk dealer’s daughter. My brother has become a teenager; my parents spend half their time watching my father slowly die and striving to save him; the rest struggling to survive.

Our TV is off limits, the days are long — especially for an introverted kid, but I am not alone, for the bookmobile comes every other Thursday at 3 pm.

Three years before my mom had walked me down the street and signed me up for the reading program. Read ten books and get a sticker. Get the stickers and you get a prize.

I had rapidly progressed from the small child’s, to the preteen books and last year the bookmobile lady had sent home a permission slip to allow me to read the adult books. This year she scours the county for good books for me.

Smiling, she hands me a stack of ten books, “there are some new westerns and a couple of scifi as well, if you want them.”

My book a day limit met I struggle home with my treasures. Another two weeks of adventures and stories. I don’t feel as alone and my belly doesn’t rumble as much when I’m reading.

Carefully I open the first page . . . the bookmobile lady has saved me once again.

The year is 1994 and now I have a family to support. Going back to college was a good decision. My hard work and bright mind has been recognized and I have risen from student worker to classified staff.

Painfully shy I stay to myself but then another worker stops by and tells me as a union member I should be attending union meetings.

“I just want to fit in,” I think. “I’ll slip into the back and hopefully no one will take much notice of me.”

“Hey Nancy? Is that you Nancy?”

The bookmobile lady is there, older now but just as nice.

“Sit by me and my friends. Hey everyone this is Nancy. When she was little she used to come down with a wagon full of books to exchange when I ran the bookmobile. She read a book a day. Isn’t that cool?”

And just like that I am no longer alone.

The bookmobile lady has saved me again.

What are some commonly accepted double standards?

One of my guy friends was sucker-punched in the face by a girl outside a club.

We both had left the club with a couple friends, and somehow the girl’s bf was talking shit to us because of some misunderstanding. She couldn’t handle getting shit talked back to her by my guy friend, which he was pretty good at.

Even though he wasn’t directly talking to her, she violently hits him. She was bigger than him, but still hit like a bitch. After she hit him she was still in his face, pulling him around with his t-shirt, yelling her voice out, assaulting with all sorts of shit and going completely ballistic on him.

He grabbed her arms to stop her from punching him, and violently swung her away, causing her to crash on the ground head-first.

That was our opening to escape, and him and I started walking away with our friends. But the security guard briskly chases after him, even though the guard wasn’t outside in time to see what had actually happened. Put his hand on his shoulder and told him to get down on the ground as he shrugged off and said don’t touch me. He later called the cops on him.

They arrested him for assaulting the security. A guy recording everything got arrested for obstruction of justice or something. They put him in an individual cell so they couldn’t talk. Never got his info. He went through an extremely long court battle. The woman who started it was never even mentioned, and he had to do some time in jail for aggravated assault.

It’s absolute bullshit that men are instantly vilified and crucified for assaulting a woman under the right circumstances. I’m sure you can see how differently this story would’ve played out had the roles been reversed.

In what ways will a 33 trillion national debt affect the United States and ultimately the whole world?

This is a serious figure; it’s a serious number. It bodes a very bleak fate for Americans, and for any nation that holds on to American stocks, treasuries, and assets.

I suppose I can confuse the reader with bafflegab. Speak thoughtfully and with authority using obscure and technical terms, and repeat the American government narrative that all is well.

But it is NOT well.

The United States has yet again had it’s credit rating downgraded to AA+.

And it sounds “great”, but the naming convention is a distraction. The term “AA+” actually means “Significant credit risk, and looming possibility of default”.

If you all were smart, you would be “bailing” out from the United States as fast as you can get your passport stamped.

Go to someplace better.

Like Bangladesh, or Laos, or Bolivia.

Somewhere that will accept you and enable you to live peacefully and calmly, with a roof over your head, has decent medical care, and healthy and cheap food. Oh, and one where criminals and the police won’t shoot at you.

I’d normally advise careful consideration be taken, but given the total collapse of American society, basically ANYWHERE on the face of the planet is an improvement over the United States today.

There are few options remaining for the United States movement to stop the rapidly approaching “train wreck”…

  • Raise taxes on Americans to around 80% of income.
  • Lift all tariffs, so that there would be some slowing of the rate of inflation.
  • Re-compensate Russia and re-approach with them to get the fuel / gas prices down.

Not much can be done…

  • Start charging Americans for the right to breathe air.
  • Sell off (wholesale) United States assets, property, gold, and land.
  • A massive war of distraction; perhaps a global thermonuclear war with both Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea simultaneously.

Like I said, all the viable options “on the table” will have catastrophic results.

All of this is far too gloomy.

It’s time that I set myself to the other side of the table, and have a shot of whiskey with you. Look into your eyes, and hold your hands. It’s time for straight talk.

  • American society HAS collapsed.
  • Like a headless chicken, it is still running around the barnyard, but it is accomplishing nothing.
  • The “government” is non-functional.
  • The American citizens are riding in the car, drunk on media lies, and the driver is driving the vehicle right over the cliff.

Freefall will be surreal.

And when you all hit the bottom, it will be really ugly.

Jump out of the car before it is too late.

Every minute counts.

How I view the US after 12 years living abroad

If the United States freezes China’s assets, how do you think China will react?

What do you think China would do?

They’ll be more than happy to accommodate.

And it would be the most stupid thing for our politicians to do because there’s a world of difference between what we have in China than what the Chinese have here.

How U.S. companies do business: It’s hard to accurately quantify how much business assets they have in China. However, considering that between 1982 and 2021, US direct investments abroad grew from $580 billion to more than $6.4 trillion dollars, it would not be too farfetched to assume that they have at least $2 trillion invested in China. China is their supply chain as well as their major market.

How Chinese compaies do business: They stay home to manufacture and profit on their trade with the world. China does have investments in the U.S. but they’re simply “investments” and not core to their operating businesses; they don’t have major companies operating out of the U.S. whose core business is in the U.S. It wiould be hard put to assume that China’s investment is more than $1 trillion in the U.S.

So who would hurt more if these two countries start freezing each other’s assets?

How about China starting off by just freezing Tesla’s and GM’s Chinese assets? Tesla’s mega factories are worth billions but the loss of sales revenue would be exponentially larger.

And how much would Chinese companies lose if the U.S. froze their investments in farmland in the Mid West?

Russia has Officially Deployed the RS-28 Sarmat ICBM

Russia has introduced a formidable weapon that has raised concerns among its rivals. Moscow has officially deployed the RS-28 Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile, or ICBM known as “Satan II,” for active military use.

This announcement was confirmed by Yuri Borisov, the head of Russia’s space agency Roscosmos, as reported by the Russian state news agency Tass.

According to experts, the RS-28 Sarmat missile has the capability to travel over both the North and South Poles and deliver a warhead weighing up to 10 tonnes to any location on Earth.

This development has amplified concerns about Russia’s nuclear capabilities, particularly in the context of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

What is the strangest thing that drives women crazy?

Being too agreeable.

I’ve learned this over 17 years with my wife. I’ve learned to pretend to have opinions about decisions we need to make, even when I’ll be perfectly happy with any of the options, because it annoys her when I don’t care one way or the other.

From little things, like what we should have for dinner, to big things, like what we should name our children, the truth is I was perfectly happy with all of our choices. It wasn’t that I didn’t care, but rather that I saw the positive aspects in all of the possible decisions, and she did seem to care a lot, so I just let her make the decision.

I guess that drives women crazy: being with someone that’s just going to agree with their decisions 99% of the time, because that someone doesn’t really have an opinion.

So I’ve learned to fake it a lot. My wife knows I’m faking it, but she recognizes it as an improvement from the way I used to be.

Her: What should we have for dinner tonight?

Old Matt: Whatever you want. It’s all good to me.

New Matt: Let’s go with Mexican food tonight. Enchiladas? Yes. That’s what I want.

In reality, Old Matt and New Matt both had the same opinion, but New Matt has learned to just pick something and pretend he has a preference for it, to make his wife happy.

Why do the Chinese not care about the lack of freedom?

In my experience, the “freedoms” that they lack are access to Western (social) media (correction to remove freedoms that they actually have). What they get that westerners don’t, in exchange, is a very safe and modern country.

Safe: In ten years here, I have yet to witness violent crimes. My mother isn’t scared to walk alone at night, and there are no shady people lurking in public places.

Modern: the infrastructure is top notch, 5G is ubiquitous, cheap and really fast (I pay about 50 dollars a year for 40 Gb a month of data on my mobile and crazy download speeds). Cash is a thing of the past, everything related to money is digitized. With the sale app you can unlock a dockless bike (less than 2 rmb per ride), ride a bus, pay utility bills, book tickets, order food… even doing taxes is an easy app.

Many Americans like to quote Benjamin Franklin “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety”.

But actually, that’s the foundation of society.

Besides, if I compare with France, my home country, Chinese people are more free on their daily life. In France, there are norms and rules about everything, usually in the best interests of corporations. You can’t play music in public places, you need to pay royalties, you can’t change a lightbulb in your office because you need a certification for low level electric work and work in high places… things like street food or street vendors couldn’t exist. In France, you are free* (so long as you abide the 300000 rules). Rules prevent many things “for your own good” but really for big companies. I come from the countryside and many people had to stop butchering ducks at home like they had for generations because they need an official slaughterhouse, which is expensive to build at home. It’s not really that butchering at home is unsanitary, it’s that big slaughterhouse need their money.

In China, you enjoy actual freedom: you are free to sell street food, free to eat it even if it’s not always sanitary, and to go to the toilet because of that, etc. The government usually doesn’t care about people’s lives unless it’s very political. One perfect example is the one child policy. When I was a teacher in college, in a time when the policy was still effective, many students actually had siblings, especially in Guangdong. The government was very strict about that with officials, who were supposed to show a good example, but a lot more lenient with regular people, especially in the country.

So in short, Chinese people in general have a very free daily life, and enjoy a very safe, modern and cheap country. If they have to sacrifice Western media for that, it’s a fair price (besides, there are VPN to get around that limit and that’s another rule the government is lenient about). I enjoy Chinese freedom more than I enjoyed the French one!

Huawei cannot make advanced chip smartphones on a large scale: US

The US is saying that Huawei cannot make smartphones with advanced chip technology in large-scale production. This comment comes amid rising worries about Huawei’s return and harming iPhone sales in China.

U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said on Tuesday that the U.S. has found no evidence to prove that Huawei can manufacture seven-nanometer chips at scale. Her response draws the attention many of people in the global smartphone industry as everyone is surprised by the return of Huawei’s mysterious chip.

Last month, Huawei unveiled its latest Huawei Mate 60 series in China. The company has not organized any launch event or mega show to introduce this smartphone. Instead, it was sold directly via online and offline sales channels. Aside from its alluring design and camera features, the phone also packs a new Kirin chipset – the Kirin 9000s.

An evaluation from TechInsight shows that the chip is processed with advanced 7nm technology made by China’s SMIC. In some benchmark tests, the chip posts even higher marks than the 5nm Kirin 9000, which is very surprising.

Why all the Ruckus?

In 2019, the US Commerce Department sanctioned Huawei from buying US-made technologies. Therefore, the company can’t purchase or produce new chipsets for smartphones and any of its tech products.

In the early days of sanctions, Huawei stockpiled the chip from various sources. However, the situation became worse as the chip stock declined.

Thereafter, it had to rely on Qualcomm to provide 4G Snapdragon chips for its smartphones. For the past two years, Huawei has been launching phones based on Qualcomm chipsets.

Within the fourth year of sanctions, on August 29, 2023, the Huawei Mate 60 Pro came into play. However, the company does not even mention this chip in promos. But it carries a new Kirin chip, which became a topic of wide discussion.

The return of Kirin also reached the White House and it was previously confirmed that the US is searching for more ‘information’ about the return of the Kirin chip. It seems the US has finally come to the conclusion that Huawei can’t produce advanced chip smartphones and that might be it for the investigations, probably.

Is China’s Belt & Road Initiative (BRI) a debt trap?

The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), China’s ambitious plan to connect Asia, Europe and Africa through a network of infrastructure projects, has been met with skepticism and criticism by some Western countries. They accuse China of using the BRI as a tool to trap developing countries into debt and expand its influence and interests. However, this accusation is based on a false premise and a misunderstanding of the BRI’s nature and purpose. In this essay, I will argue that the BRI is not a debt trap, but a platform for win-win cooperation that benefits both China and its partners.

First of all, the BRI is not motivated by China’s selfish agenda or geopolitical ambition, but by its vision to promote the development of participating countries through enhancing connectivity. The BRI is a public good that China offers to the world, and a platform for international cooperation that is open, transparent and inclusive. The BRI follows the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, and respects the sovereignty, independence and diversity of each country.

Secondly, the BRI is not a debt trap, but a debt relief for many developing countries that face financing gaps and infrastructure deficits. The BRI could reduce the costs of trade and increase global real income by 2030. The BRI also helps create jobs, improve living standards and foster social development in participating countries. Moreover, China has always been a responsible lender and borrower, and has taken concrete measures to prevent and resolve debt risks. For example, China has signed debt service suspension agreements with 23 African countries under the G20 framework, and has provided debt relief or cancellation to 16 African countries. China has also established mechanisms for debt sustainability analysis, project evaluation and risk management with relevant international organizations and multilateral development banks.

Thirdly, the BRI is not a zero-sum game, but a positive-sum game that creates opportunities for cooperation and mutual benefit for all parties involved. The BRI is not exclusive or competitive, but complementary and synergistic with other regional and global initiatives. The BRI welcomes the participation of third parties, including developed countries and international organizations, to jointly contribute to global development and governance. The BRI also promotes dialogue and exchange among different civilizations and cultures, and fosters mutual understanding and trust among peoples.

In conclusion, the accusation that China’s BRI is a debt trap is based on a false premise and a misunderstanding. The BRI is not a debt trap, but a platform for win-win cooperation that benefits both China and its partners. The BRI is not motivated by China’s selfish agenda or geopolitical ambition, but by its vision to promote the development of participating countries through enhancing connectivity.

The BRI is not a zero-sum game, but a positive-sum game that creates opportunities for cooperation and mutual benefit for all parties involved. Therefore, instead of viewing the BRI with suspicion or hostility, it is more constructive and rational to view it with openness and confidence, and to join hands with China to build a community of shared future for mankind.

The Rise and Fall of America’s Middle Class

America is bleeding out. Slowly, steadily. And it’s a self-inflicted wound. When NAFTA was signed, it set in motion decades of decline that have crippled American industry, gutted American towns, and robbed American citizens of their birthright – the simple dignity of providing for themselves and their families. But there’s a road back. Starting with denim blue jeans.

Bling Bling Kitty

I once had an old cat named Annie.

When I lived in Boston, there was this Pet Smart (store) that I would visit from time to time to get kitty supplies for my little buddies. It was on the road to my work, and not a big deal. It was a big warehouse like building, much like “Sam’s club” that hosed all sorts of pet supplies.

Off to the side they had a little adoption center for cats. You could look at the cats while you were waiting in line at the checkout.

I noticed one cat never left. It stayed there. Month after month. Season after season.

This was an older cat.

And no one wanted it. No one.

And so when I came to ask about it, the gal at the store said that she was really old, and that her owner passed away. The kids of the old man didn’t want the cat, and so the deceased children (adults really) gave it to them to find a home. They didn’t want the cat.

And so the kitty sat there, in the cage, month after month, after month alone.

That was bullshit.

So I adopted the kitty and named her Annie.

Poor thing. Sad all the time. Lonely. Depressed.

She became really attached to me.

She was a “rag-doll” breed and super clingy. My other cats didn’t want to have anything to do with her, and as soon as I made it home, she would come to me a meowing and crying. And so I would share my affection between her and all my other cats.

Now…

I had this little “thing” that I did with my cats. They all wore collars with two tags. An ID tag and a rabies tag. And when ever I opened up the door, I would get my keys and jingle them. I started to notice that my cats would do the exact thing with their collars.

If they wanted out, they would go to the door, and “jingle their keys” and I would let them out.

But, you see, Annie didn’t have any “keys”.

So we needed to get a cat collar, and some ID and rabies tags, and after a while we did. We ended up with a small box of say ten different collars. And then one day, when it was just me and Annie, I laid them all out in front of her to look at.

Now, she has always been very sad. Missing her owner, and then living with me in a house with other cats.

But something happened… a “light” went off when she saw the other collars.

She got up, and some “light”; some “energy” transformed her body.

And then, right there, in S-L-O-W motion…

I did it intentionally.

I selected the biggest, gaudiest, most “bling bling” fake jewel encrusted, fake diamond and pearl encrusted collar that I could find and placed it there off the side.

And then with it all next to her, she got up and walked over to all the collars.

She looked at big gaudy bling bling. She wanted ME to select.

bling bling cat collar
bling bling cat collar

She started to purr.

So I picked the big bling-bling collar.

And then…

Then she sat up, arched her back and allowed me to put it on her.

I wish that I could describe the moment; the transformation. The significance of that moment.

I swear… I mean it… she CHANGED.

So no more moping around. She was one of us.

She was accepted. She was great, and important and special, and she would walk with her head up high and her tail up high. She was so very proud of her collar, and it was truly a sight to behold.

She became a proud ROYAL KITTY PRINCESS.

What a moment.

I have never forgotten that.

Eventually, I had to move on, and my wife and I separated.

Annie went to live with her, while I had to continue on my life cat-less. Sigh. It’s called “life” and that is what happened then.

My ex-wife moved away to Pennsylvania while I stayed in Boston. And a few months passed.

My ex-wife, later on, however thought that Annie shouldn’t wear the collar, and took it off her.

Oh, yes. She. Did.

But you know the moping and sadness reappeared.

And my ex-wife couldn’t figure out what was going on. She just “chalked it up” on old age and a diet imbalance.

One day, I visited my ex-wife and checked on the kitties. And you know, I saw Annie. Sad and depressed as ever. No collar!

I went up to her. Man that was one depressed cat.

So… as soon as I saw that, I asked where the collar was.

My ex-wife went and rummaged around a bit, and found it. And I, well I put it back on her.

Guess what?

And BOOM! It was proud and happy city all over again.

If a cat could skip, then that is what Annie started to do. She was proud and happy all over again.

My ex-wife didn’t understand.

She mistakenly thought “freedom!” meant no collar.

But, Annie felt differently.

The Collar meant “belonging”.

It meant a role in the society; a “place at the table”. It meant status, and Annie had the most bling-bling of all the kitties. She was SPECIAL and she felt special.

Annie passed on, at a very ripe old age. She was a good little kitty.

She was buried with her precious collar.

I miss her.

Todays…

Russian Foreign Minister: “U.S. is waging war on Russia”

World Hal Turner 19 September 2023

Washington’s massive campaign to support Ukraine with arms amounts to a war against Russia, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, adding that the US has long groomed Kiev for this very purpose.

In a comment to Russian reporter Pavel Zarubin released on Sunday, Lavrov suggested that rumors about Washington possibly giving the green light to the delivery of Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS), which have a range of up to 300km, were aimed at “shaping public opinion.”

According to the minister, these deliberations would not change the fact that “for many years Ukraine has been groomed to fight with its hands and bodies in order to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia.” Lavrov accused the US of controlling the hostilities between Kiev and Moscow.”

In recent weeks, several Western media outlets have reported that the administration of US President Joe Biden is edging closer to approving deliveries of the ATACMS, which Kiev has been requesting for several months. The US has been reluctant to approve sending these missile systems, arguing that potential Ukrainian strikes deep into Russia could trigger a major escalation in the conflict.

Ukraine has already received long-range missiles from the UK and France, which, according to local officials, have been used to attack civilian targets and infrastructure in Russia’s Crimean Peninsula and Donbass.

While the US has yet to grant Kiev’s request for ATACMS, it has committed more than $43 billion in military aid to Ukraine since the conflict began, including air defense systems, armored personnel carriers, and M1 Abrams tanks.

Moscow has repeatedly warned the West against supplying Ukraine with arms, saying that doing so will only prolong the conflict but will not change its ultimate outcome.

HAL TURNER EDITORIAL OPINION

I was reluctant to report these remarks by the Russian Foreign Minister for a simple reason: If the Russian Foreign Minister is now publicly accusing the U.S. of “controlling the hostilities between Kiev and Moscow” and also publicly saying the U.S. efforts for Ukraine amount to “the U.S. waging war upon Russia” then the only logical conclusion that __I__ can come to over such remarks is that at some point, Russia is going to strike the U.S.

Now, the mental weaklings of our society respond that such a thing is “impossible.”  In their little minds, the United States is so powerful that Russia “wouldn’t dare.”  In __my__ view, those people are wrong.

The reason they are wrong is because Russia sees the ongoing Ukraine conflict (with full material support from the west) as “an existential threat.”

They’re correct in such an assessment.   Want proof?

Back in April, I reported to you that Europe had revealed a map showing its plans to break Russia up into 43 separate countries (Story HERE).

Here is Gunther Fehlinger, Head of the Austrian Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) connected to the United Nations, showing the West’s map of a world without Russia:

The revelation of this map is literal PROOF that it is the actual intention of the West to do-away with Russia.    By even manufacturing such a map, the West has shown its intent.   Russia now faces an ACTUAL existential threat.  Their very existence is at stake.

Think about the time and effort that was necessary to research the populations and ethnicities in each of these areas, where they are, and how to draw actual lines along the geography of the demographics, to create this vision of new, autonomous, countries.  The research and planning alone had to take . . .  YEARS.

So the mental weaklings who say “Russia wouldn’t dare” have their heads up their ass.   Russia may decide it has no choice.

Thus, the remarks by Russia’s Foreign Minister Lavrov over this weekend, are “building a case” for a massive Russian strike at the U.S.  Lavrov’s public remarks are “building a record” for posterity.

Step-by-step the U.S. has escalated the Russia-Ukraine fight. Step-by-step the U.S. and its NATO vassals continue to escalate.

Well, while the West is doing its thing, Russia is systematically building an open, public, historical record of what is actually taking place.

When a man like Sergei Lavrov utters the words he spoke over the weekend, it is as serious as a heart attack.

I will preface my further remarks by admitting I very much admire Foreign Minister Lavrov.  In my view, he is the single most competent, most skilled, Foreign Minister on the entire planet.   He says what he means, and more importantly, he means what he says.

You never once hear the Russian Foreign Ministry “walking-back” anything Lavrov says.  You never once hear the Russian government having to “clarify” what Lavrov said.

That Lavrov has now said the US is “controlling the conflict between Moscow and Kiev” lays actual involvement and responsibility for war on the US lap.

Closer and closer we seem to be coming to the moment when Russia strikes.

None of us will ever be able to say We weren’t warned.

People say that World War One was more morally ambiguous than World War Two. What were the bad things the Allies did in the First World War?

Because it is. If you think about it, World War 2 was a bit odd—it’s one of the very few wars in history where you can legitimately point out who the bad guys were. The evils the Axis committed (Germany got all the spotlight, but Japan was even worse in many ways) was so over-the-top that it seemed like something out of a children’s cartoon.

The Allies were no saints but there’s a very big difference between the Japanese internment camps in America vs literal Holocaust death camps and rape brothels the Nazis and the Japanese ran. To say otherwise is intellectually dishonest. Except for the Soviets, Allied war crimes in World War 2 were not organized or structured (and even with the Soviets, probably a large proportion were also unorganized).

World War 1 is closer to your “average historical wars”. Who is guilty? It’s an extremely complicated topic that is not lost even back in the day. The simplest explanation was “it’s a very convoluted web of alliances and interests that forced everyone to fight for something that would otherwise be a local conflict”.

Why else would an assassination of an Austrian archduke made Japanese soldiers invade the German colony in China?

Nobody was particularly better or worse in World War 1.

Why is China not labelled a pariah state?

Well, it takes a lot for a country to be so bad that it is labelled a pariah state.

For example, look at the USA in the past 40 years. In that time, it dropped bombs, fired missiles, destroyed cities and killed men, women and children in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Libya, Grenada, Uganda, Bosnia etc. And the USA still is not labelled a pariah state!

In that same period of 40 years, China fought no wars at all. Sure, it had a few skirmishes here and there. For example, its navy vessels sprayed sea water at other countries’ fishermen in the disputed areas of the South China Sea. Another time, a few Chinese and Indian soldiers fought at a disputed border area. Not a single bullet was fired – however, a few soldiers fell into an icy river and later died from hypothermia.

But these were not wars. Nothing like how, for example, the USA made up a lie about Iraq having weapons of mass destruction, and then proceeded to kill 250,000 Iraqi men, women and children.

And yet, like I said, the USA is not labelled a pariah state. So clearly China wouldn’t be.

Today, China is even busily rebuilding schools, homes and hospitals in Iraq! (After all the destruction caused by the USA).

WE RETIRED IN AMERICA AND MOVED TO GHANA WITHOUT VISITING!

African Americans are returning to countries like Ghana more than 400 years after their ancestors left Africa as slaves. Many say they want either to reconnect to history, or resettle on the continent. Helen and Timothy are retirees who had lived all their lives in the USA. Timothy was in the military while he worked and Helen was in the field of Social Sciences. They recently made the big decision to move to Ghana. In this video, they share the amazing experiences they have had since moving here.

What do you do if someone is trespassing on your property?

I have given all my neighbors permission to walk my land. I have posted signs saying private property please treat with respect. I have put up signs saying no motorized vehicles. On a website , the Google pin says you can cross to the river, on my property. Its a pin someone added, because they didn’t like the official pin. So a lot of people thought it was public access, because the website quite rightly says its public access where they have the official pin, but its not the first pin they see. I have had the erroneous pin removed three times, but someone keeps adding it back.

I grew up in the country, all the neighbors were friends, and they all allowed me access to their property. So I try to treat people the same way.

I finally had to block it off, because mudder truckers, atvers, and motor homes, and partiers were driving through. But I still allowed foot traffic.

One day I hear a thunk, thunk sound. So I wander over, and a group of 12–13 year olds were sitting with a raft in my driveway, throwing rocks at my private property, please treat with respect sign. Their parents had dropped them off, and then driven down stream to leave a vehicle there.

I raised my voice, I got all of their names. I threatened to wait for their father, and finally I told them that I would put up a gate, blocking access, with a sign saying access closed, because of the actions of these people, and then list their names. They apologized profusely, and never caused any more trouble.

One day while sitting on my deck on Sunday afternoon, two people walked across my yard, not 50 feet from me. I went and put on my shoes, to have a talk with them, by the time I caught up, they were naked having sex on the lawn furniture around my firepit. I took a picture and I asked them what they were doing, but it was already obvious. They said they were just going to go for a swim in the glacier fed river. They apologized, and put their clothes back on. I asked them why they walked right by my house, rather than use the trail I left open for people to walk to the river. They claimed that they were so excited to get to the river, that they never even noticed my house.

Another time I see somebody run into my outhouse, beside my firepit. So I wander over, and they had violent diarrhea, coating the toilet seat and their pants. I didn’t say anything rude, I just brought over the power washer, and made them spray it out. I also offered them an old pair of sweat pants, and a garbage bag for their pants, which they accepted.

After I blocked the driveway, because of motorized vehicles use, people started using the other driveway that went by my house. So I chained up the only river access past my house, so they would have to drive right back, beside my house on the way back.

Then they started randomly driving through bush and cutting trees to get to the river. I hauled in about 50 1 ton rocks, and placed them in easy spots. After a couple of years the brush had grown up beside the boulders.

One day I’m out splitting firewood, and I hear a big bang. Then this terrible squealing sound. So I wander towards the noise, and there is a truck just getting back on the road, steam shooting out of the grill, and oil dripping. The left front tire was at a 20 degree angle to the right tire. Something under the hood was squealing, and once he started driving down the road, he left a black mark for miles, and the tire screeched as well. I didn’t get the license plate, and I never saw the truck again. But it looked like he made it about 12 km, before the tire blew, judging by the black marks.

That’s what I do to trespassers. It depends on the circumstances

It’s a sign of the times. America.

Funny.

What did someone do in TSA/airport security that made you say “You gotta be kidding me”?

I’d just spent a solid month working in Boulder, staying in a Residence Inn with a full kitchen… and I cook. I was heading home and decided to bring the small box of kosher salt I had purchased and used almost every night for a month. I got to the airport at my normal time… about 90 minutes before boarding. I checked one bag, and had a computer and a smaller bag that happened to have the salt box. I got to TSA, and the line was horrendous. No problem, I never get hassled, right?

The box of salt lit up the xray system. I got pulled out of line, the bag was to be searched, and just for good measure they were going to search and swab the computer bag. Oh. Damn.

I was asked if I had anything sharp or dangerous in the suitcase, and answered “No.” The bozo checking the luggage pulls out the box of salt and waves a couple of Denver cops over, convinced he’s found a terrorist. Holds the box of Morton Kosher Salt up to attract the attention of his supervisor. And then he pulls everything else out of the suitcase AND the computer backpack. I’m fed up. I’m watching time click down. He intends to make sure I miss my flight. I challenge him and he says it’s a white crystalline substance. I offer to taste it in front on him, and/or for him to taste it. I mean, it’s SALT. He tells me, first, that he’s an organic chemist, and then that salt is a normal constituent of organic explosives. I’m getting ready to go ballistic when one of the cops whispers, “Just calm down and let the idiot finish this thing”… THe TSA supervisor comes over, and calmly suggests I “surrender” the box of salt and the cop whispers “Do it”. I’m getting the sense the cops are really on my side. One’s quietly on his radio and neither are looking more than amused at the TSA agent being a salted idiot. Supervisor tells the agent to reassemble my stuff and get me out of there, and the agent wants to argue that, having had at least one piece of contraband there’s likely more. I think he wanted to find an assault rifle in my pocket or something. A little more persuasion by the supervisor, and my stuff is back in the xray system and is clean. I get my gear and start for the escalators that take you down to the train. Each cop grabs a bag from me, directs me to the escalator, and say, “Run, they’re holding a train.” Damn! There’s a train with lights flashing, and another cop keeping a door open and space clear in the car. We get to my departure terminal, and they still have my bags. Go up to the concourse and we’re a LONG way from a plane that’s supposed to be gone already. “RUN!”. I start heading for the gate and see 2 airline employees running toward me. They go past me and grab bags from the cops. One of the cops manages to get me his business card and says, “We saw everything he did. We have his name and badge number. If you want to file a complaint, we’ll back you up.” I stammered a thank you, and ran the rest of the way to the gate. They’d literally held a plane full of people so I could get home. My laptop was in my seat on the plane by the time I got down the aisle, and yes, my carryon bag was gate checked, and it, too, made the plane and the trip home.

All over a box of kosher salt and someone who might have had delusions of intelligence.

G60: the Story of China’s Other Starlink Competitor

By now, you have probably heard of China’s megaconstellation project to complete with Starlink: “Guowang”. But did you know that a second megaconstellation plan is emerging in the region of Shanghai? Called “G60 Starlink”, this constellation calls for 1,296 and then 12,000 satellites to be sent to low Earth orbit. There’s also a fascinating geopolitical twist involving Germany and the United States, highlighting the global struggle for licenses. Let’s dive deep into this story. Enjoy!

What’s the pettiest thing you’ve done to get back at a nuisance neighbor?

When we bought our house it became obvious rather quickly that we had a problem neighbor. Her property abutted ours at the back fence and she would throw her weeds over onto our property. I asked her politely to stop to no avail. She had also plumbed her washing machine from the garage through PVC piping that ran under our fence and over our property. Once again there was no reasoning with her as she told me she had lived in her house for over 20 years and we would just have to put up with it. Yes, I know I could have called the city to get it stopped but didn’t want to start an outright war in our new neighborhood. I got myself a long 2×2 and three lovely large Idaho potatoes and rammed them way up that drainage pipe. We all know what happens to potatoes in a dark, damp environment and I didn’t have to wait too long to know if my rather mean solution worked. The neighbor next door to her that was friendly towards me stopped to chat one day. He said “Poor Carol, her washing machine backed up and flooded her garage and when she called a plumber he told her it had been plumbed illegally and he had to replumb up to code; it cost her a lot.” “Oh what a shame,” said I and really had no guilt, or no more problems with her either.

What is the most expensive lesson a company got after firing an employee?

Ages ago, I worked for a magazine publisher, and was friends with a terrific editor in another department. She shepherded several “custom” magazines for important clients.

At some point, her husband landed a job in another state. Thinking she might like to live with him, so came up with a plan by which she’d continue with the magazines, working with staff via phone and overnight mail (this was the 1980s, so no email, videoconferencing, etc.) and monthly trips to HQ for face time.

Well, the idea of what today we know as remote working made no sense to the big thinkers in the front office, so they thanked her for her service and wished her well in the years ahead.

And found out that the clients weren’t in love with the company—they were in love with “their” editor! And when they learned they were losing her, they canceled their contracts.

Several million dollars. Gone. Just like that.

Worse: one of our regional competitors (who’d already hired away some of our people), swooped in, hired the editor, and landed at least one of the disgruntled clients she’d previously dealt with.

For the next several years she worked remotely for our competitor, exactly in the manner she’d outlined to her now former employer. Oops.

Footnote: The company we’d worked for, over 100 years old at that time, evaporated a few years later, under the peerless leadership described above. And our competitor? Still going, and bigger than ever.

What was a gift that made you speechless?

My husband passed away suddenly 6 years ago. We were living in a fairly remote place, and I wanted to return to the area we came from, in the northeast. It was a huge move, because not only did I have an entire household, but all his tools and musical equipment, and 3 dogs. I was really unsure how I was going to accomplish this.

I had a friend I had never met in real life – we had become friends on a forum for people who had Doberman Pinschers, but it was much more than that – there were ongoing, fascinating threads on philosophy, politics, medicine, religion/spirituality, cooking, crafts, photography – you name it.

Anyway, we clicked, and had become quite close. I helped him tweak a CV for a new consulting business he was building, and he called me every single day for 4 months after my husband died, to make sure I was OK. Even my family didn’t do that.

When I found a place in NY, I began to make plans to move. He told me that when it was time to go, he was going to come help me move. I was floored. I couldn’t believe someone would be so generous of their valuable time. Sure enough, he flew out west, and spent 2 weeks helping pack and load things into a POD, then rent a UHaul, load that up with immediate things, and then we took off on a 10-day, 2500-mile trek across the country.

When we arrived here, he unloaded the truck & trailer, set things up for me, cooked for me, and all kinds of really supportive things. When the POD was delivered, he and a couple of guys unloaded it, and he put things wherever I needed them. He stayed for many weeks, not willing to leave until he felt I was secure and stable, and the house functioned for me.

To me, that was the most generous, kind, selfless and thoughtful gift I’ve ever gotten. We remain the best of friends, even though we are 1,000 miles apart. We do whatever we can to help each other and support each other, and I am lucky to have such a fantastic friend. True friends are more valuable than anything.

What does Huawei’s new phone series mean for Apple in China?

Just as Apple benefitted by cannibalizing Huawei’s drastic reduction in volume shipped since 2018/19, Huawei will cannibalize Apple’s increased market share today.

China has reached peak iPhone. Apple will not set new sale records in Greater China anymore.

The iPhone depends on foreign suppliers for many components. America’s trade and tech war with China has forged a divergence in the supply chain, because doing business with certain entities can trigger landmines that cripple and maim. Industry players either have a reduced customer base or can only shop from a limited number of suppliers. This has worsened as America continue to abuse sanction privilege.

This strategy works only if one side is at relative disadvantage, such as a tech/quality gap. But what happens when there are different core strengths distributed between the sides? Apple won’t have open access to the best components, on account of risk or actual restrictions. Apple’s iphone is heavily dependent on Chinese engineering, and these partners have helped deliver new model generations like clockwork for more than 15 years. The very basis for the Apple hardware eco-system may need to be relooked.

As Huawei and partners continue to make independent inroads to the premium space, partners that used to rely heavily on Apple’s business will be enticed to offer their best components to domestic competition. This is prudent risk management, brought to the forefront by the draconian nature of the Huawei sanctions.

There may come a point in time where the best that Apple can find ex-China is a step down from what the Chinese competition can deliver. The smartphone standards of tomorrow will be increasingly written by the Chinese.

Case in point: batteries and chargers today. 6G, and imaging tomorrow.

Honor is headquartered in Shenzhen.

Note: There are really only three legs left in the smartphone business: Apple, Samsung, and the Chinese.

Oliver Anthony – “90 Some Chevy” REACTION

I like this song. Love her reaction.

Two Chinese phrases

In the Chinese-language reporting on the launch of the Huawei Mate 60 Pro, two Chinese phrases keep showing up:

  • 去美化 which means “de-Americanization” of the supply chain, and in a broader sense, removing anything American;
  • 自主品牌 which means “self-owned (Chinese) brands” as opposed to foreign brands like Apple

Huawei tapped into the pent-up Chinese anger at how China has been treated by the west, but which did not have a chance to show. The launch of the Huawei Mate 60 Pro and its record orders are a way for ordinary Chinese to show that they have had enough of the tough talk coming from the US, and even though the Chinese economy, and especially real estate are slow, they now have a way to show that the old way of doing things no longer work for them.

This is why they have rallied around de-Americanization of the supply chain and Chinese brands.

Chinese brands will now have to face questioning from Chinese customers.

  • “Do you have foreign components in your products? If you do, why do you need foreign components when Chinese components which are just as good are available?”

This means that the leading US chip brands: Intel, Qualcomm and Nvidia are going to be hit really hard. TSMC will be hit hard for siding with the US and supporting US decoupling from China.

Chinese nationalism is a very powerful force in Chinese history, and the US has released it. Only the Chinese Communist Party can control it and keep it from going completely wild.

While the US and many Americans hate the Party, it is the devil which the US knows.

The other devils are much, much worse than the Party.

MY HUSBAND COULDN’T STOP CRYING!!! OLIVER ANTHONY – I’VE GOT TO GET SOBER (REACTION)

One thing I’ve been noticing is that Oliver Anthony is making grown men cry, more than a lot of other sad songs people react to. And the reason why, I believe, is because here is this man. This God fearing, manly man, honest and true, expressing himself as a man. There is nothing weak about it. He touches men’s nerves from one man to another man, without any elements of weakness or inferiority or even femininity. He’s allowing men to feel understood and allowing then to express themselves.”

What is the most heartbreaking thing you have seen in the United States?

We didn’t know what to do.

We were in a mediocre restaurant in Arizona having flown there from Canada. Our waitress was in her early 80s and had rheumatoid arthritis in her gnarled, misshaped hands and feet, and there she was working as a waitress. She was suffering with every step and with every movement of her hands. Another waitress was the same. Their hands and feet were swollen. We didn’t know where to look.

In Canada we don’t see this. If an elderly woman with difficulties works in a restaurant it’s because she owns it and won’t go home.

So seeing a waitress this age with rheumatoid arthritis working this way was shocking to us and very upsetting. We ordered tea and toast so she would not have heavy plates to lift. We left her a $50.00 tip and got out of there.

Watching these women struggle this way was heartbreaking. I hope I never see this again.

What is the most offensive thing someone has ever asked you?

A friend of my wifes mother responded to my wife’s pleasant email, about taking her getting extra vacation this year, so she would be stopping by when visiting her mother. The mothers friend just replied WTF.

My wife was stunned, and wondered what she meant by it.

I said the best thing is to just ask her

So my wife asked what she intended by saying WTF.

The reply was “Fantastic”

My wife phoned her, to clarify.

It turns out her grand daughter always says WTF in her texts.

So she asked her what it meant, and the grand daughter, rolling her eyes had told her “Well That’s Fantastic”

So she had been using it to appear modern, whenever she heard good news.

My wife phoned her mother’s friends daughter, ( a school friend) and told her, what her 13 year old daughter had told her grandmother, and had her straighten it all out.

She couldn’t bear to let this nice old lady continue to use WTF in completely inappropriate circumstances.

African American moved to Ghana to build a 4 bedroom home and live her dream life |Exploring Asebu

In this video, we meet the very lovely Karen King and check out her 4 bedroom home in Asebu’s Pan African Village. We had such a great time talking to her, walking through her home and learning about her journey in Ghana so far.

What do Americans in the US love most about Americans?

My favorite part about Americans and American culture in general is what I call “the American Mulligan”. Here, in the US, failure is expected. Starting a business and having it collapse? Just a part of growth and improvement. Got fired from your senior manager role for performance? That’s okay, these kinds of things happen. Changed careers at 35? Great! We love that because it makes you more well-rounded.

In the US, we love a comeback to such a degree that in my business (tech recruiting), we almost look for candidates who’ve tried and failed to run a business. They are wiser and generally manage better than people who’ve had smooth sailing their entire professional career. When I talk with my professional friends from other countries, they generally cite this as one of the best parts about being in the US.

Should Apple distance itself from China?

If Apple were to distance itself from China, it must find another place that has skilled people in suffiucient numbers, the same level of automation as China, and the availability of alternative raw materials that China can provide.

The only country that is big enough to meet the needs is India. So Apple moved some production to India a few years go. But it turned out to be a disaster because there are not enough skilled people in India and they still need to rely on China’s supply chain. As a result of the lack of sufficient skilled workers, the defect rate came to about 50% – pushing costs ridiculously high.

Apple has now abandoned most of the production in India, suffering huge losses, and wants to come back to China.

THE NEW KING OF SOUL!!! OLIVER ANTHONY – 90 SOME CHEVY (REACTION)

We all going to church and didn’t even know it…this guy is showing us all that we do have a common bond…it’s called life…and trying to live it. Keep on preaching Oliver. Take us all to church

I caught my neighbor using my electrical outlets outside, and I told him I was going to call the cops and tell them what he was doing. He laughed and said I can’t prove it. What should I do?

As a master electrician, I solved my issue very easily. My (now ex) neighbor was using the outside outlet on my detached garage to build his addition. I turned the breaker off – he turned it on. I asked him to stop and he did not.

I simply rewired the neutral on the 120 volt outlet to convert it to 240 volts, watched (and grinned) as he burned up his table saw, his battery charger and a table router all within one day. He had no idea as to why.

If he has simply asked, as he should have, before using my power, I would probably have allowed it – as least for a reasonable amount of time.

EDIT 1: I have had some suggestions that I could get into trouble with my “fix”. I did disclose to the neighbor what I did a few days later and he called the sheriff’s office. The deputy that came out listened to both sides and then asked ME if I wanted to charge the neighbor with theft. I just let it drop and he moved out a short time later.

EDIT 2: I have had some people say that I should have put “warnings” on my answer about the possibility of fire and personal injury. C’mon people! This is a REPLY to a post – NOT a TUTORIAL!!!

Have you ever had a pet that was almost unnaturally intelligent?

My father bought a horse when I was about 13, mainly because he was very placid in the sales ring. He was an exceedingly nice and smart horse, a very good riding horse who loved people. He would respond to spoken instructions such as, “go and get the bucket and I will give you some oats.” I did not teach him that, I just said it one day and he brought me the empty bucket. Ten years later I was home for a visit and a car stopped by our pasture. A man of about age 30 got out and walked out to the horse who whinneyed and ran up to him, acting like a big dog to his favorite master. The man told us that he raised that horse from birth, but his father sold him when the boy was sent to Vietnam. He started giving him subtle signals and the horse would dance, kneel down, stand up on his back legs, and even gave that fella a kiss on the cheek. He asked how much to buy him back. My Dad said, “Son, he’s yours. Thanks for your service. Your horse is mighty glad you came back for him.”

MY SISTER COULDN’T CONTROL IT!!💔OLIVER ANTHONY – I’VE GOT TO GET SOBER

I grew up in the mountains of East Tennessee within the USA. Working very hard as a child in a family business. Worked my way through college and into a technical role. So, ladies, my life is very different from yours, but even so, I see both of you as my sisters in my heart because the unifying message within OAM has built a bridge from my soul to yours.”

FLASH: U.S. Moving Combat Jets to Romania – “in addition to others committed to NATO”

World Hal Turner

The United States is moving Combat Aircraft to Romania — but not for NATO.  What does THAT translate to, in your mind?  US v. Russia directly? Word of this came from US Ambassador to Romania, Kathleen Kavalec.

“The United States plans to station combat aircraft in Romania in addition to those performing NATO air policing duties” said the Ambassador.

Notice she said “Combat” aircraft.   Not refueling tankers or cargo planes . . . . no . . . .  she explicitly said combat aircraft.

Did all of us somehow miss a vote in Congress about some minor  little detail like direct US war against Russia?

How do you handle that one relative who insists every time on ordering the most expensive item at the restaurant when you are paying?

Not quite the same.

Every Mother’s Day the family would go out for dinner and of course we all chipped in the same amount & it covered Mom’s meal and the tip (10 people + Mom).

We’re 7 adults and 3 ‘kids’ so no big issue, right? But…this one time was too much for me.

Grand daughter came with her boyfriend, daughter & son, 2 of them are drinking age and I can’t remember how much alcohol they ordered but it was at least 3 mimosas and 3 glasses of wine.

Only 2 of their meals were from the Mother’s Day specials.

Rest of us ordered from the specials menu & I think 3 glasses of wine & 2 beers. This place was VERY reasonably priced.

I was single mother of 2, 1 of which was working & not able to attend and the other had health issues, not a big eater.

I ordered a special & my son ordered 2 appetizers & 2 glasses of milk (he asked before ordering the 2nd milk because money is tight for us).

I drank water with dinner & for dessert I had tea & son & I shared the dessert that came with my meal.

Bill comes & I hand over $40 hoping it will cover our share (if you took off the bar tab it should have been no more than $35!).

I asked if they needed more from us.

The grand daughter & crew on the other hand, chipped in $60 – wait? What? For 4 people + chip-in +tax & tip? The person handling the bill said something & I think they chipped in another $30 (really should have been at least another $40!

A year later Mother’s Day coming up again.

Family wants to make plans again to go out.

I told them no, I can’t afford it.

My sister pushed & pushed for why – I finally told them I can’t afford everyone’s bar tab!

We went, everyone paid their OWN bar tab & guess what?

Only cost me $35! Grand daughter & crew ordered more reasonably priced food & had a MUCH smaller bar tab!

SINGING FROM HIS SOUL!!! OLIVER ANTHONY – AIN’T GOT A DOLLAR (REACTION)

A broken vessel was chosen to remind us GENTLY AND ONCE AGAIN, that we are one. This is generational. Who else could walk onto some side stage at a festival and immediately draw the entire crowd from every genre and have them all know that he’s their voice?…..huggi g…laughing…..crying. Again, this is NOT of this earth. We gotta all be praying for our bizarre, broken vessel RIGHT NOW. Evil despises this man.

Huawei raises production order for Mate 60 Pro by 10M due to high demand

The original order was 6M units.

Some project 35M units sold by year-end.

This will put strong pressure on the Apple iPhone 15 line which launches on Sept. 12. Huawei’s Mate 60 Pro line is expected to take sales from the high-end for Apple.

Xiaomi, OPPO are going to have a very hard time surviving in this very challenging environment.

Huawei is now Team China, and Apple is Team USA.

What is the reason for China’s sudden massive increase in their gold reserves?

Last year China held $1.3 trillion dollars worth of US bonds. … with other asset kept in US bank.. making a total of 3.5 trillions dollars in foreign reserves…ALL kept in the USA.

Last year, Biden confiscated US$300 billions of Russia’s foreign reserves …kept in the US banks. This was a warning to China…the same thing can or will happen to China.

The US is now bankrupt…unable to repay its debts. Biden plans play DIRTY… His plan was to start a war with China and using the war as the excuse …to confiscate all the US$3.5 trillions dollars China has in reserves (10 times more than what Biden has stolen from Russia).

China is not stupid.

Last year, China sold US$580 billions dollars in US bond and bought gold bars. (US bond is the easiest to liquidate). The first six months of 2023, China sold other asset in the US … China bought 108 tons of gold.

China will progressively sell off its holding of US bond and other US debts …to buy more gold …until all the 3.5 trillions dollars in US reserves are completely liquidated.

Holding gold bars is much safer than holding US bonds.

Chinese Nationalists Smash Cyber Network of Feminists and Foreign Backed SJWs

China is a traditional nation that has zero tolerance for progressive ideas or values. And we, within China, see this every day. This is a point that I have made time and time again, and have written various articles on this particular subject. And yet, we are reminded of this fact once again.

Here's a great article. All credit to the original author. Republished from National Justice. Edited to fit this venue.

China: Nationalists Smash Cyber Network of Feminists and Foreign Backed Social Justice Warriors

A cyber army of nationalists have successfully shut down a network of feminists and American-style leftists on Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter.

More than a dozen prominent accounts belonging to purple haired women preaching homosexuality, hatred against men, and attacks on the traditional family were banned from the site for violating Weibo’s policy on promoting hate.

How it began…

The confrontation began when US supported Chinese feminist Xiao Meili posted a video.

It was a video of a woman harassing a random man for smoking a cigarette near a restaurant.

Smoking in China.
SJW feminists have a “death wish”.

The man responded by throwing his drink in her face.

Meili attempted to paint the incident as a social indictment of Chinese men.

Instead online users swarmed her comments and began protesting her “xenocentrism”.

Xenocentrism is a term used against people attempting to import American and European Union values to China.

When several prominent Chinese “social justice warriors” rallied to her defense and accused the critics of “intimidating” her, the dispute spiraled into an all out cyber war.

The Result

Eventually, the feminists were all banned.

The banished accounts include women who…

  • Promote sexual boycotts of men.
  • That promote boycotts of marriage.
  • Those that promote lesbianism.
  • Those that attack the Confucian ethic of caring for the elderly.
  • And those that engage in frivolous sexual harassment accusations.

Western Media are howling!

Western media is up in arms about the affair, blaming the Chinese government for having a role in “silencing” or “censoring” these women.

Article 35 of the Chinese constitution guarantees the right to free speech.

However, Weibo is a privately owned company, meaning that it wouldn’t even be censorship under American law.

The feminists have filed an impotent lawsuit against Weibo similar to ones filed by Americans against Silicon Valley monopolies in hopes of being reinstated.

“Free Speech” or CIA sponsored NGO “Color Revolutions”?

“Human rights” groups, US/European controlled media, and NGOs attempting to spur a political response for merely banning users engaged in what the Chinese perceive as hate speech contradicts their position on online speech in America.

Every powerful institution in the West supports ruthlessly suppressing pro-normal beliefs in America and Europe, including affirming that men cannot be transformed into women through drugs and mutilation.

As politicians, corporations and feminist activists in the United States like to remind us, the right to free speech is not a right to a platform.

Traditional Values within China

Under Xi Jinping, the Chinese government has sought to avoid a looming demographic winter by increasing national birth rates.

Defending the dignity of the traditional Chinese family, which includes a husband, a wife, children and often older relatives, has been made a national priority by president Xi.

This embrace of tradition is a drastic departure from Mao Zedong’s Marxist campaign to “liberate” women from marriage and force them to go to work instead.

Conclusion

China is quickly becoming a photo-negative of America.

  • Billionaires who try to exert political influence have their monopolies busted instead.
  • Anti-social people are bullied and humiliated.
  • Chinese manhood is celebrated.
  • The Han majority is taught to be proud of their race rather than ashamed of it.

History will soon decide which civilization model is superior.

  • America’s oligarchy-ruled military-empire under the guise of “democracy”, or
  • China’s “Traditional Familial Society with communist characteristics”.

Snapshots of Chinese Culture

China is a land where society changes every couple of months. You leave a town, and come back in six months and all the roads are different. New buildings are everywhere. The kids are using new slang, and new apps and everything is radically different. It’s kind of unnerving.

Foreigners come to China, and are amazed at how different it is compared to their expectations. Locals are totally immersed in the change and look outside China with wonder at how could anyone stand to live elsewhere where everything changes at a glacial pace. China is rushing head-first into the new year… yikes!

Here are just some microvideos taken around China by normal people. All of the videos were filmed and collected in January 2019. By watching the microvideos you might get a mere hint at what is going on at the “middle kingdom”. Enjoy.

Important note; If you are having seeing the videos or if they are not easy to see, please reload your browser. This will more than like fix 80% of the problems you may encounter.

This first video is showing one of the many, many…many Chinese soap operas being filmed. The Chinese love these historical dramas, and really, who can blame them. It is sort of like the “Game of Thrones” on steroids. China is a nation with centuries of fighting, court intrigue, romances and horror. It’s no wonder that the soap operas are so popular.

What’s going on here? I wonder. Is she racing to save her loved one? Is she fleeing from the army that will destroy her village? Is she on the way to deliver the magic sword to the hero? Who knows?

Here is BlackPink which is a very popular group in China these days.

Over the last few years the C-Pop, K-Pop, J-Pop and T-Pop have all kind of merged into a kind of standardized popularity format, all sharing the same distribution platforms. The result has been an overall increase in the general exposure of this music across all walks of life. It is difficult to go shopping in a grocery store, check an application, or ride in a taxi without listing to popular music.

I don’t know where this was shot at. It could have just about been anywhere. My guess is Shenzhen.

OK. Here is one of the latest fads in China, the Bunny-hat.

Yupper for now up until right after CNY, many gals are sporting these funny (and cute) bunny eared hats. They are functional in that they keep your head warm, but they are fun as you can see in the video.

I write this post just before CNY. CNY stands for Chinese New Year, and it is a very special time.

Now, you should also realize that CNY is a time for friends and family to get together. For one month, basically all of February, it’s all drinking and singing and dancing with friends and family. The following video is typical of what just about everyone is doing in China these days…

Now, of course, this is China. China does not mess around.

There aren’t many laws. Certainly not like the USA, but what laws there are, you sure as heck better follow them. This is in everything. From not selling illegal drugs to parking your car illegally. Here we see just what happens when you park in a no-parking area.

You obey the law in China.

Now, here we look at the amusement parks.

With the huge population, China has amusement parks and recreational areas just about everywhere. Further, all the amusement parks are competing against each other for the most challenging rides and events. Here is one such ride.

I don’t know about youse guys, but this might make me hurl…

Now, of course, China is not the USA.

They have dealt with SJW types numerous times in the past and their progressive agenda of destruction of history, elimination of gender, and political correctness pretty much sent China back to the stone ages. The government has vowed never…ever to allow that to happen, and all the SJW types are immediately secured and imprisoned before they ever get a change to mess with the traditions of China.

When the SJW movement took control of China

That’s pretty much why you will still see attractive weather-girls on television, pretty girls in bathing suits selling cars in auto shows, and age and appearance requirements on job postings. Political correctness, progressive values, and similar distortions are prohibited in China. Even suggesting that there should be changes to 5000 years of tradition can get you thrown into prison and organ harvested.

Here we see a training exercise for stewards and stewardesses for a Chinese airline.

See any overweight gals? See anyone over thirty? See anyone with dark skin color? See any women with pink hair, shaven hair, tattoos, or nose rings? China does not tolerate disruptive behavior from mentally ill people.

One thing about China is that it is the world’s leader for manufacture, and is well on it’s way to being the innovator of the world. Today, most of the Japanese innovations originate out of the Chinese center of Shenzhen. As soon as there is some kind of innovation, typically it is the Chinese who will try to see if it will pass muster. Will the new idea sink or swim?

Well, we know that the shared GPS and APP enabled bicycles hit like a nuclear bomb and propagated throughout China. The problem was that the demand was too large, and the supporting infrastructure was so scant that the idea mostly collapsed except for some well thought out investment strategies. So yes, the shared bicycle industry is still “hot” in China, but it is not the crazy gold-rush that it was one year ago.

What about other innovations…?

All of these innovations and new buildings and investments in infrastructure come at a price. You have to make sure that they are maintained and not abused by some adolescents with time on their hands. You don’t want it to be abused, damaged or corrupted in any way. You have to make sure some illiterate grandmother from the “hills” won’t come and disassemble it and cart it off home to her house.

Now, that’s not to say that all the new ideas and innovations are useful or are marketable to the public. There are some really silly things being sold to the Chinese consumer. many of which would never be seen outside the country, for various reasons. Such as regulation, testing, and perhaps… need…

Give me a break, why don’t ya?

China has all sorts of police and staff used to make sure that all the new infrastructure isn’t abused.

They do not tolerate graffiti like it is tolerated in the West. They send out officers to make sure that the rules are followed. This differs from the United States where the police are used to enforce behavior and make sure that people obey the LAW. In China, the police are more like High School monitors who observe, and correct behavior without having to resort to arrests or drawing a firearm.

Here’s a typical police chick…

Let’s talk a little about work.

In the USA, corporations rake in enormous amounts of profits. They pay their employees a competitive wage and give them benefits. But many of the traditions of the past have been either eliminated or removed for the new progressive reality of a “cleaner and better” work environment.

For instance, you no longer can smoke in the offices, and all the free medial insurance is now replaced with subsidized health plans. The biggest difference between today’s progressive work environment and the traditional work environment is in terms of the end-of-the-year party and bonuses.

China being traditional, of course has lavish and full-on drinking parties for the employees. They also give their employees bonuses. These bonuses are handed to them in raw cold cash. Often they represent from one to six months salary in one lump sum. Just like it used to be common in the United States.

Ah… the “good old days”…

Of course, today, companies wouldn’t dare serve alcoholic drinks at a company party, nor would they consider bonuses. Amazon could give yearly bonuses equal to six months wages to every employee and the leadership would still be raking in millions of dollars every year. Won’t happen. American CEO’s are greedy son-of-a-bitches.

Here is a Chinese boss giving her workers astounding-sized bonuses…

And, here is a typical company party.

Of course everyone wants the company to succeed. In China they do not “reward” employees with paperclips and pens with inspirational phrases on it. Instead they provide them with wine food and song.

Business KTV

They provide them with good hard cash. In the picture the boss is giving the workers bundles of 100 RMB notes. That bundle is probably around 50,000 RMB. or roughly around $8,000 USD.

They provide them with meaningful rewards…

While China is a very traditional nation with traditional family roles, the work roles for both men and women are interchangeable. Women are often involved in the hard labor positions such as construction, and truck driving.

Of course, unlike the United States if you are in the role you must compete at it on an equal basis. If you want to be a fireman, not a fire-person, but are a woman and the requirement is for you to carry a 200 pound man down three flights of stairs in ten minutes, then you will have to meet that standard. The Chinese do not lower standards based on gender. Nor do they do so for personal hardship, or ancestry.

Here’s a truck driver fixing a tire…

There are many pastimes in China that are no longer popular in the United States.

The Chinese like to go out and eat together in groups. They like to sing and dance. They like to bowl, play golf and go skating. Here is a typical roller skating rink…

Here’s a girl fishing. Fishing is very popular in China. Come on! Wouldn’t you just love to be out there fishing…?

Of course, all the cities are much, much larger than the cities in the United States. They also tend to be quite modern, with many buildings younger than ten years.

The Chinese government has placed certain residential restrictions on all development in such a way that public spaces are mandated for just about everything. That is why you will find all the new parks and green areas in China. They take green areas and spaces very seriously in China. When was the last time you saw a park going up in the Untied States? When was the last time you saw the city or town government planing a tree? When was the last time you saw pedestrian areas being made?

Here is just a typical night scene in some nameless third-tier city in the Chinese hinderland…

And, of course, the Chinese love their pets.

Dogs and cats are treasured and treated like exalted members of the family. That MSM, and CNN narrative of eating dogs and cats is so old, and so painfully obsolete that it is a wonder that anyone still watches CNN. I mean, for Pete’s sake, just how far removed from reality can you get?

Here’s a typical example to give you some idea of how the critters are treated…

Oh, yes. Before I forget. People are people. They fall in love. They have babies and build up families. They work and tend to their families. They spend time with friends, and they build a life to the best of their ability. This is true in the Untied States and it is true in China.

In China, often the man has to work far away to earn money for his family. The wife will stay home. He will send her his entire pay check and she will disperse it to fund their familial requirements and give him a percentage back to live on. Then, once his job, project or work period is over, he will return home to his family. There, the wife would be waiting for him.

It’s sort of like this…

Finally, there are many people who say that China is a “hell hole” and that it is a Communist nightmare run by a tyrannical government. They use pictures from CNN, an article or two from the Guardian (UK), and hearsay, from some friends who might have visited China. To them, it is a terrible grey place of sadness and despair.

Believe what you want.

These are just some videos taken in January 2019 from all over China. You don’t have to believe your eyes. You can believe what ever you want. Last I heard, CNN was reporting that Trump is an actual Russian secret agent, and that he is going to be impeached because he stands in the way of how a “proper” government is run.

You are an adult. You can select what ever news you want to believe.

So, yes there are old and decrepit places in China. They are being preserved for historical purposes, else some Chinese businessman would tear them down and pave over them with some new high-rises. So, yes, you can still see these places. I find them charming. They are beautiful in their own way. I, for one, and happy that the Chinese government recognizes their importance.

Conclusion

These are just some micro-videos collected in January 2019. I have added some minor narratives to help the reader to better understand what is going on. I hope that in this little post, you the reader, can see what is going on in China for better or worse.

Posted on FR 1FEB19

This post was posted on Free Republic on 1FEB19. Of course, the vast bulk of comments on a post of this venue would be negative, and by people who wouldn’t even bother reading the post.

I mean, really… really how can you equate a response such as the nonsense about “chinese agitprop behind a fake identity” with cute bunny hats, end of year bonuses, and police seizing a car? What does this two dimensional label have to do with how Chinese soap operas are made?

Once you struggle, or better yet, ignore the disparaging remarks you can find some gold nuggets. Here’s some on a more positive note…

I recommend reading this and watching the video clips. I’ve had two long stays in China in recent years and what this blog is describing is a lot closer to what I experienced than most of what I read about China on FR.

The author doesn’t shy away from the fact that China has an authoritarian government and will harvest your organs if they are so inclined.

And…

Watch on youtube “The Romance of the Three Kingdoms”!

..Romance of the Three Kingdoms is a 14th-century historical novel attributed to Luo Guanzhong. It is set in the turbulent years towards the end of the Han dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period in Chinese history, starting in 169 AD and ending with the reunification of the land in 280. ....”

Its an excellent Chinese made film on youtube.

And…

I spend a fair amount of time in China for business, and both versions are true. Vannrox's blog is one side, and many, many people in the first tier cities are able to live quite well. Many other people are denied much chance to advance because the government is still dominated by Maoists who are scared of the emerging middle class and hanging on to power by their fingernails. Not much different than Pelosi and Schumer, here.

China was essentially on the right path until Xi Jinping arrived - he has stopped the county's progress toward a true market economy and changes to the laws are going to make him very hard to remove. I'm not sure whether to formally label him a "bad guy" or not, but Chinese I speak to privately hate him and consider him a dictator, not a president.

I love how they deal with illegally parked cars. Probably not too good for the car, but that’ll teach them to park illegally.

Some things that need to be changed for America to be the “Land of the Free” again.

>>This isn’t merely a question for Trump supporters, but for anyone who still thinks that a political system that isn’t completely run by thugs, with only a simulacrum of democracy as window dressing, is something worth trying to maintain and improve. <<

It is a fool’s errand to attempt to save the Union. The ideological gap between left and right is far to wide to ever bridge. They are polar opposites.

The best we can hope for is an amicable split. Fredrick Douglas wondered if the US is just to large an area to be governed by one central government in Washington. It is, a “one size fits all” system is not working

The sooner the majority of people in this country realize that and start the process of diving the nation in a peaceful manner, the better. Otherwise, we will continue our slow decent into hell.

- Posted HERE at1/27/2019, 7:44:54 AM by Tejas Rob

There are many things that a person can do to improve themselves. In my case, I could lose some weight, and eat better. I could be kinder to people, and stop reading the news so much. I could spend more time with friends and family, and I could spend more time in nature. I think that if I did those things, I would be a better person.

It’s not just me. I look around the world and see all kinds of things that could be improved with a modest amount of effort. The key here is the word “modest”.

For instance, planting a tree in your yard. Exposing children to dogs and cats at an early age. Sweeping the sidewalk in front of your house, and having a small vegetable garden might be really nice if a decent percentage of people would spend the time and effort to force some change.

Now, well…

I look at all the things going on in the United States today, and everyone seems to agree on both sides of the political spectrum that things are “not well”.

Obama apology tour.
There are many meme’s about the Obama apologies. Most of us Americans deeply resented Obama’s actions and behaviors.

The world is a steamy place, it seems. Radical communists have made their voices known and are taking off their masks and have complete control of the Democrat party, and many critical aspects of the United States government. They hold sway in key positions in every Federal and State organization, they have significant blocks of power in the Judicial branch, and they own all media, social media, and popular culture.

Conservatives, much like myself, really wish that we would be left alone and able to live our lives in peace. Seriously, we just want to be left alone.

Ah, such is our pipe dream.

Now, progressives are unhappy because they aren’t able to control everyone yet. They have entire wish lists of rules and laws that they want to implement to make America a “better” place. They will continue to be unhappy until people are on their knees bowing to them with arms outstretched. You know, like a scene out of ancient Egypt, or what it was like under Pol Pot or East Germany under the shadow of Communism.

American communists want to follow Pol Pot.
American progressives want to take over America and implement an agenda very similar to what Pol Pot tried to do in Cambodia. – Ethnic cleansing. – To regain the glory of the Angkor Empire. – To reclaim Kampuchea Krom. – To get all CIA and KGB agents out of Democratic Kampuchea.

They just are beside themselves waiting for that day when you will be on your knees in supplication to them, and they will stand up in the mantles of wealth and glory.

So really, neither side is happy.

As such, here are some ideas that I have in an effort to recapture the spirit of what America used to be for my grandparents and my parents; “The Land of the Free”. It was a time when you could be yourself, say what you wanted, and you could even smoke in your office at work. Imagine that!

SJW cry babies
Unfortunately, too many of these young people are also upset about ridiculous things. They are part of a hypersensitive, hyper-politically correct group known as ‘Social Justice Warriors.’ A few years ago when I first heard the term ‘Social Justice Warrior,’ I wasn’t sure what it meant. I thought SJWs were doing some kind of noble, laudable work. I pictured them as volunteers at food banks. Maybe they were trying to help senior citizens get the prescription medicine they couldn’t afford. I pictured them trying to help the downtrodden in society. Instead, SJWs epitomize political correctness gone amuck. They are incredibly thin-skinned. They browbeat and scold others into giving up freedom of speech or expression. Want to wear a Halloween costume? You’d better check with the campus commissar of political correctness first. (Yes, the protesters want some sort of official on campus who will determine what can and cannot be said or done).

It was a time when being an American meant something truly great, and everyone referred to “their freedom”. It was a time when our president didn’t apologize for anything, and you were free to eat sunny-side-up eggs and get a five cent cup of coffee. All without some hugely fat, pink and green haired, monster of a woman (?) having something to say about it.

Freedom! Man, that’s what it’s all about!

Firstly [1], reduce the number of laws.

I know that this will upset the progressive liberals in the audience, but it is true. America has too many laws. They are too complex, and in a tiered layer structure from federal, state, county and local levels. They are supported by an army of attorneys, and law clerks. This has made life difficult for those of us who have to live under the laws.

Indeed, America has the highest number of laws in the world.

More laws = more restrictions and controls = LESS freedom.

Of course, many of the laws are just ignored. Most Americans just let the laws roll off our shoulders, and we shrug it off. But, an evil person; a progressive can use those laws and club us over the head with them. For the laws are so enormous and so numerous that everyone and anyone can get arrested, all you need to do is get on the “bad side” of someone.

  • It is illegal for bar owners to sell beer unless they are simultaneously brewing a kettle of soup.
  • When having sex, only the missionary position is legal.
  • It is illegal to skateboard without a license.
  • It is illegal to lie down and fall asleep with your shoes on.

It’s a very simple logic.

As such, everything is over-regulated in America. Too much regulation takes away freedoms. In fact, if I were to be so bold, I contend that a law, no matter how well intentioned, is an affront to freedom. Thus, in a truly “free” nation, you would have the smallest number of laws necessary.

These laws have but one purpose.

They do things that would cause Americans to be fined, investigated, arrested and imprisoned for. This is true everywhere. Elsewhere in the world you can do so many things that Americans simply cannot. It is true. From buying Viagra without a prescription in Mexico to shopping with your dog in a grocery store in China. America has way too many laws and restrictions on freedom.

Now, I know some of the laws are supposed to be there to protect people, but they’ve gone way into overkill. Other countries are able to maintain safety without so many laws. So why can’t the US?

Come on!

Do we really… really need warning stickers on ladders to warn us about falling off? Do we really, and I mean it, really need to ban large sodas, sunny-side up eggs, or paper bags? Are Americas so friggin’ stupid (like our elected officials apparently believe) that we MUST be told how to behave, for our own good?

Really?

And what is all this nonsense about banning straws? Why not something useful, like banning potholes? Or, banning dog-shit on pizza? There has to be limits. There has to be guidelines, periodic audits and purging of antiquated, erroneous or outdated laws. Too much over-control is not a good thing.

You know it, and I know it.

There are reasons for all this control. Whether it is overt, or surreptitious, these laws are for control. Control over YOUR actions.

Of course, you can strip away the reasoning, the narrative, and the bullshit and get to the real root of the matter. The fact is, that many laws are there just to tax people and allow government to stick its nose where it doesn’t belong. Such, as I might dare say, such as in the affairs of private families and businesses.

Moreover, too much government control or state planning has never been good for economic growth, as history has shown. Don’t believe me? Check this link out…

Link

In any event, there needs to be a serious overhaul of the legal system in the Untied States and a great reduction in the overall quantity and extent of the laws present.

I would suggest, and it is only my modest suggestion, to eliminate one law every second. That way, in about 200 years, there might be only the bare minimum laws on the books.

Secondly, [2] Pare down the size of government.

As if the first point wasn’t upsetting to the progressive liberals, asking them to reduce the size of the government is tantamount to asking them for voluntary castration. Taking money from a liberal is sacrilege. They clutch it in their greedy little hands and just won’t let go. Aiii!

The size of the US government has increased in size many, many times since the dawn of the 20th Century. The size of the government has grown like a huge monster out of control.

Ah, but unfortunately, governments don’t like to decrease in size because politicians don’t want to lose money. They’ve got their grubby little hands in the pots, and with America… that’s many, many pots. That’s many, many hands, and like fat pigs, everyone and everything is at the trough eating away.

Hey! How’s that $7,000,000,000,000 that Obama gave to South Africa helping you out personally? What about your friends? Or, how is it helping fill those potholes in the streets?

That’s why the founding fathers of America emphasized that government should be small and limited with minimal powers. And why, it was set up as a Republic where the only people that would be elected were our Congressmen.

Drain the swamp.
The United States today does not look anything like what it was initially constructed as. In fact, it is the exact opposite.

The ideal size of government was the way it was during the 1800’s, when the US government was a small size and did not bother people much.

It had a very Laissez Faire type of approach, which allowed people a lot more freedoms and economic growth.

With small government came little need for taxes. Thus there was no income tax and no inflation. In fact, the value of the dollar remained stable throughout the 1800’s and by the end of the century actually had risen in value, thus technically resulting in deflation.

Guide to the swamp.
The size of the United States government has gotten so enormous and unwieldy that it is called “the swamp”. It is a mess of complexity where people who have been getting rich and comfortable living off it it, do everything they can to maintain the status quo.

Contrary to the narrative of “we need taxes for the roads and the bridges”, we had roads, bridges, a military and everything else long before we ever passed the federal income tax and the Federal Reserve. America got by just fine.

Anyone who uses that specious, and really over-worn argument, has the brain of a snail, and the memory of a tape worm. The issue is not, nor ever was, the collection of taxes. It has always been about how revenue was collected, and who paid for it.

Now that was the kind of government that Thomas Jefferson and the founding fathers had in mind, which was nothing like the huge Orwellian type of government that we have today. Oh, and speaking about Orwell and his prophesies…

Big Brother in Utah.
Big brother and the NSA observe and record everything that you do. It is all housed in Utah.

[3] Cut away the regulation, and fees that seem to be on everything.

Again, the progressives just love to regulate and control everything. They are control freaks. As such, the amount of regulation in the United States is insane. Seriously it is insane.

Oh, did I say that it is insane? Well, just in case I didn’t make myself clear on this matter; it is insane.

Trump tries to reduce regulation.
When Trump came to office, one of the first things that he tried to do was reduce the amount of regulation in the government. This caused eruptions of anger, laughter and disgust from the progressive liberal media.

The US has one of the highest costs of living in the world.  You can blame inflation. You can blame innovation. You can blame crime. You can blame just about everything for this, but no one wants to blame the true root cause; rules and regulation.

Why is everything so darn expensive? Rules and regulation.

Each and every time that you add a regulation to something, you add a cost. Let’s suppose you want to make sure that hamburger buns don’t have green mold growing on it, so you write a regulation. Well, someone needs to inspect to make sure of compliance. Someone needs to be trained to inspect, and there needs to be a system of training, and monitoring the workers who do the inspections. All this costs MONEY. Someone has to pay, and that person is often YOU.

Growth in medical costs.
The rising costs of medical care in the United States is directly proportional to the size of paper-pushers that are used to service it. As the medical industry started to become regulated, the costs rose skyward into the stratosphere. You, when you pay a hospital bill, are not paying for the doctors services, you are actually mostly paying for the people in government to file and approve your forms.

In my dreams, I fantasize about every receipt having all the taxes and fees that went into the purchase listed and easy to read. That receipt would be a yard long, I’ll tell you what.

ACA
Here is the streamlined version of the Obama / Hillary Clinton healthcare plan known as the ACA. Each bubble represents a COST that YOU need to pay.

Compared to the other 200 countries, the US is definitely in the top tier when it comes to expensive costs of living. Prices and costs are way too high and so is inflation.

In the 20th century, the US dollar lost 95 percent of its value. In contrast, during the 1800’s there was no inflation and the dollar was worth more at the end of the 1800’s than at the beginning.

Decrease in the value of the dollar.
The value of the dollar has absolutely plummeted since the Federal Reserve was created. This means that the people who use this medium of exchange is forced to hold on to worthless scraps of paper. When I was born, my mother saved up for months to get me a $100 savings bond. When she died, and I inherited it, I discovered that I couldn’t even buy a decent meal with it. What was once worth a few months salary fell below the value of a meal.

Higher cost of living means that one has to work more and be a slave to their job more, with LESS free time to do what they want.

There’s not even time for personal growth.

What’s the point of living when all you do is work to make a living? What’s there to live for? It’s pointless. You are just a slave hamster on a treadmill. Being a debt slave is not living freely.

Rats racing.
Why are you in your career? What does all the work buy for you and your children? Is the stress and worry worth it? Personal satisfaction comes from control of your finances.

As we all know, money can buy freedom, if one has enough of it. Thus, a higher cost of living means that people have LESS capability to “buy their freedom” since their money is worth less.

This insane rising cost of living in the US is most likely deliberately planned. Here’s why: The US is known to have the biggest gap between rich and poor. So it is in the interest of the wealthy elite class to keep the poor in America poor. There are numerous reasons for this. You can parse the reasons, but it’s really just human nature. The rich want to stay that way, so they support policies that benefit the status quo.

This inhibits the “freedom” of upward mobility in America.

Income inequality
The progressive liberals claim to want everyone to be equal. In fact, they want to be the wealthy elite with everyone obeying them. Conservatives tend to want to be left alone, as long as they are happy, they have no problem with others being wealthier then they are. Unfortunately, the income so disproportionately favors the wealthy in the USA, that it has become impossible for most people to have any kind of comfortable life.

This would also explain the deliberate dumbing down of America in the public education system, which insider whistle-blowers such as Charlotte Iserbyt have revealed.

So you see, even what freedoms you have in America are being slowly undermined behind the scenes, without the public’s knowledge or approval.

[4] Prison function should be redirected to reduce crime not be profit centers.

America has the largest prison population in the world. Currently, there are 2 million people incarcerated in American prisons. 2 million! That’s crazy.

That’s crazy!

Incarceration timeline.
For all sorts of reasons, mostly an overuse of laws, has turned the United States into one big prison. Here, just about everyone knows someone who has been in jail or prison. It is the same sort of situation that was present in the former Soviet Union. This is a truly worrisome condition.

No other country has anywhere near that amount in prison.

Does that really mean that Americans are the most evil and dangerous people on the planet? It must, you know, if every other nation uses the same measures of what constitute a crime is.

Does that mean that our police force(s) are the most efficient in catching criminals? It must, you now, if every other nation uses the same measures of policing and population control.

Or, is it instead structured so that our society is one where everyone is a potential criminal…?

America the prison state.
The United States incarcerates Americans at an alarming rate. Further, once incarcerated, under the 16th amendment, they lose their Freedoms guaranteed under the Bill of Rights. They are thus able to be treated differently… as a second tier or second class citizen or slave.

Only in a dysfunctional, insane, crazy, toxic, repressed society would that many people be in prison.

How can the alleged “freest country in the world” also have the biggest prison population as well?! That’s a huge oxymoron that doesn’t make sense! Obviously there is a chasm of difference between what America says and what it is.

Sessons the deep state guardian.
America does not treat people equally under the eyes of justice. Instead they use laws to force compliance to arcane rules and provide “safe havens” for the wealthy, while the rest of America suffers.

[5] PC culture needs to be stop being promoted by the media.

As if that is ever gonna happen…

US social culture is way too politically correct, which greatly reduces your ability to speak freely and honestly. It’s a restriction on free speech. From what I know back in the 1970’s, there was no political correctness. I would go to work and people would tell me what they thought of me to my face directly. People were free to be as honest as they wanted, so they could speak their mind freely and from the heart.

If a guy was fat, you told him to his face that he was fat. If a woman was a bitch, you called her out as a bitch or a shrill. Freedom, real freedom, is the ability to speak your mind without consequence.

Even if someone has something negative to say, honesty is always better than suppression and repression.

Gillette cartoon
The HR departments tend to be populated by social justice activists and politically correct types. Their job is to make sure employees fall in line. This is achieved by fear. Companies will not tolerate racist, sexist, or otherwise intolerant behavior. Anyone caught telling an off-color joke by the water cooler could be fired. A male employee who compliments a female employee on her appearance could find himself in big trouble. To prevent such trouble, the HR departments train employees on proper etiquette, behavior, and other matters that’s really nothing more than common sense. Employees get lectured about the company’s desire for a healthy, productive work environment with a welcoming atmosphere. The two words most favored by corporate HR departments are ‘diversity,’ and ‘inclusion.’ These words are used with a fervent religiosity. People ‘of color,’ ‘the LGBQT community, the disabled and so forth are to be treated with exceptional tolerance and kindness. White males? Not so much, because they are usually seen as potential transgressors of company policy.

With this in mind, America has become a lot LESS free since the 70’s in terms of free speech and freedom to be yourself. In other countries where there is less political correctness, one feels a lot freer. It is refreshing, and really underlines this PC nonsense as a serious issue that must be addressed.

The overbearing political correctness in modern America, coupled with the media driving high levels of fear and paranoia in people, makes America a very socially unhealthy place to live. It is repressing individuality, our shared and unique cultures and people. I want my America back.

It is unhealthy to be called “deplorable”, “toxic” and a “Nazi”. It is unhealthy to treat being male and acting as a man an illness, while glorifying gay people and transgenders. It is a sign of a very, very sick nation.

We don’t see how sick the United States is today, because most of us are sitting right down smack down in the middle of it. We need to go elsewhere to see how people live their lives, and then we can make comparisons. When you make those comparisons, you can see the sickness in all it’s festering nastiness.

So know that political correctness is not there to help protect people. It has a purpose. It’s an evil and dangerous purpose. For it is a first stage in controlling the masses.

You see, once you restrict free speech in the name of “cultural sensitivity”, it then becomes easier to take away other freedoms and put in more control.

To take away freedom, you do it in small steps, so that each subsequent step becomes easier for people to take. That’s how the ruling elite impose their will when its unpopular, by doing it gradually in increments. They’ve always done it this way.

Boiling frogs in water.
Go ahead, all these laws, rules, regulations and political correctness is all about changing you to a point where you will accept socialism. Then under that environment, you can be stripped of your freedoms; your liberties, and forced to slave away for others as they determine.

[6] All social engineering efforts must be curtailed and scaled back.

Compared to what it was like when I grew up, today’s American social culture is fake, artificial, phony and toxic.

Yes, being told that boys must act like girls in order to be masculine is FAKE. It is artificial, and it is toxic. There is simply no other way to say it.

Today our youth are not allowed to be their true self. Boys are not permitted to act like boys. Girls are not so severely restricted, but even then, they are being instructed in alternative gender roles. These teachings are harmful. For the children must act and fit within (modern progressive) “acceptable” modes of behavior.

In a way, it is normal for children to find out what their identities are. Starting from high school, teenagers learn to act very phony and artificial, like posers. They have to do so in order to be cool and have friends. Otherwise, they will become misfits and social outcasts.

The problem comes when powerful interests devote money, resources and time to direct them towards other objectives. In effect outlawing tradition in favor of a new future. One where all men act and behave like like girls. It is not healthy.

Far left loonies
The divide between the left and right is widening in America. Instead of rational debate, we’re seeing more vitriol and trench digging. The mainstream media and the left want President Trump impeached. Their bogus ‘Russia’ narrative has unravelled, so now they’re calling Trump’s supporters ‘Nazis’ or ‘white supremacists.’

If you are authentic and down-to-earth, you will be seen as introverted and lacking in social skills, when in reality, you just don’t like acting fake and artificial. It’s very upside down.

Our world teaches kids to “be yourself,” but that rule often applies to everyone but the “traditional” male. The APA has declared “traditional masculinity” to be harmful. They’re wrong: https://t.co/FMNgXUy20s

— David French (@DavidAFrench) January 8, 2019

This is how the typical American fake personality forms. Children are born with genuine personalities. But beginning in high school, they are gradually molded into the fake social persona that is required to fit into American social culture. This carries on into adulthood.

Trigglypuff
Trigglypuff. Dr Hoff-Sommers was appearing at the University of Massachusetts at Amhurst along with the comedian and radio broadcaster Mr Stephen Crowder and the Tech editor of Brietbart Mr Milo Yiannopolous. Milo made his usual spiel about ‘feminism being a cancer’, and the hall erupted. Next to take the stage was Dr Hoff-Sommers who said that ‘feminism was not a cancer but campus feminism was madness’. This reasonable observation of the far left feminist/gender studies/queer studies scene on American campuses was also met by howling and screaming from the audience. I fear that many of the audience of Leftists there would not recognize the right to free speech if it jumped up and slapped them round the face. There was one particular protester there whose behavior was so bad, so outrageous and so much more like that of a toddler than a grown woman that film of her flailing her arms about rapidly went viral. Trigglypuff.

Only older folks and senior citizens can afford to be down-to-earth again, because at their age, they no longer are trying to conform or fit in. Plus the seniors of today come from a generation when Americans were more down-to-earth than today.

The social culture is also very toxic in that it undermines your self-esteem. It is toxic because it tries to tear you down, making you feel insecure and inadequate. Today, no one feels accepted for themselves in America. They always feel like they aren’t good enough and have to prove themselves.

We do our sons no favors when we tell them that they don’t have to answer that voice inside them that tells them to be strong, to be brave, and to lead. We do them no favors when we let them abandon the quest to become a grown man when that quest gets hard https://t.co/FMNgXUy20s

— David French (@DavidAFrench) January 8, 2019

The consequence of this is that when you develop a fake artificial social personality in America in order to fit in and be accepted. It is not at all healthy. It separates you from your true authentic self, which becomes suppressed in the process. Our youth starts to take on adaptive behaviors that are not healthy.

I do not care what CNN or WaPo or the Huffington Post thinks, this unhealthy behavior is not good for men.

Metrosexual man.
The new America man as formed by American media and the PC sensitivities of the feminist movement and high-paid diversity officers in workplaces. They are known as caring beta-chucks or metrosexuals.

As a result of this psychological schism between your fake social self and your true authentic self, you experience a deep inner fragmentation, which in turn leads to mental imbalance and inner conflict. There is nothing healthy with gender-confused children.

This, I believe, is the primary cause of many forms of mental disorders in America. And it’s why you see so many crazy messed up people in America, and depressed degenerates everywhere (especially in urban areas).

Gender confused boy.
Note that puberty suppression therapy through hormone intervention is increasingly being recommended for children with gender dysphoria and at younger ages, yet there is little evidence that shows that puberty suppression is “reversible, safe, or effective for treating gender dysphoria.”

In addition, Americans are raised to believe in many contradictory things, which screws them up psychologically. (As if gender confusion wasn’t bad enough.)

For example, Americans are taught that they are “free individuals in a free country”. Good right? However, Americans are also taught that they must conform to society and adopt all its strict rules, laws and boundaries. The two things are contradictory.

  • Freedom is the ability to have free exercise of thoughts and actions.
  • Liberty is the ability to practice freedom.

And at work, they are required to conform to their work culture and become subservient slaves to their jobs.

Shame on the @APA. As a psychologist, masculinity and femininity in their mature forms are inherently virtuous. “The main thrust of the subsequent research is that traditional masculinity—marked by stoicism, competitiveness, dominance and aggression—is, on the whole, harmful.”

https://t.co/GMHIM0IqWW

All of this takes a toll on the hapless America (male) who hasn’t any decent role models outside of a fictional narrative to guide him. Instead he is presented with rules and codes of behavior that run against his biological and genetic programming. This is NOT healthy.

Modern man.
The new modern man as promoted by the mainstream media.

To give another example: Many Americans are raised with good Christian values but then in the adult world, they are taught that “profit is king” and that “greed is good”. Like two muscles that become damaged when they rub against each other, their minds become damaged by such conflicting beliefs.

They become like the Clintons who attend church. There is no way that this can be considered healthy.

Clinton at church.
Clinton at church. I wonder what it will be like for her when she enters Heaven. What do you think, dear reader? To me, it looks like the devil visited the church and is lecturing the people that if they give her more money she will guarantee them a seat in Heaven.

Anyway, the reason why this makes American unfree is this: If you have to develop an artificial phony social personality to conform to American social culture, then you are disallowed from expressing your true authentic self. In other words, you are not allowed to be yourself in America, at least not your real genuine self.

You see, being free to “be yourself” is the true definition of freedom, while having to be something you’re not is a psychological prison. Thus America, under PC rules of behavior, takes away your freedom to be yourself, which is the highest expression of freedom.

You’re not even allowed to flirt in America anymore.

Flirtation is seen as creepy, inappropriate and taboo in modern America. However, flirtation was normal, cool and acceptable in America prior to the mid 1980’s. (and in most foreign countries today, it still is) But after that, it somehow became a bad creepy thing.

People who grew up during the 70’s and 80’s know this, but no one dares to talk about this or has an explanation for why that is. In modern America, you are not even supposed to have desires to flirt. If you do, you are considered a creep, a pervert and a bad person.

American woman
The new socially acceptable American woman. You must cover your body and that gives you freedom!

Perhaps that’s why no one dares to talk about it. It’s a taboo. This is way too uptight, unnatural and no fun.

[7] Severely reduce fear-mongering and the severe neocon influence.

The social vibe in America is permeated with high levels of fear and paranoia. It really is. There is no denying it. You cannot visit a single media site without being confronted by this. Whether it is killer hornets in China, or armed illegals crossing the border, or the dangers of terror in West-boom-boom-askan, it is everywhere.

Dudes, in case you are unaware, war is terrible. It really it. It is horrible.

Any war with a serious and large nation like China or Russia will not be like you expect. It will not be televised on the nightly news, where you can watch it over your TV-dinner after work. You won’t be logging into the internet to see what is going on in the world. Listen up!

A war with China or Russia will be personal.

You will be lucky to have electricity, let alone internet access. You will be busy checking your stockpiles of iodine to keep the radiation poisoning to a bare minimum, and you will do your best to burn the blankets that your loved ones died in. After all, getting smallpox or the bubonic plague is not something to take lightly.

It will be a harsh reality where you might have to kill your beloved dog for food. It will be a reality where even taking a shower might be risky and threaten your very life.It will be frustrating, because there will be little that you can do. You won't know what is going on in the world, but you will know that your little piece of life in the USA will have been altered terribly.

LISTEN TO ME.

This is not going to be a scene from the walking dead where you and your friends get to fight zombies over the tattered remains of what was once a town. No, you will be dying from a sickness that you don't have any idea to cure, while you huddle in a burnt out and darkened cinder block room while drones, you won't know if friendly or not, will scan the skies above.

The neocons have no idea what they are playing around with.

War tumor.
The neocons in government, along with their friends in the mainstream media want war. They want to keep Americans living in fear. But this fear mongering is not sustainable. Sooner or later, the costs will become far too great. The risk of WMD events in the United States will become too alarming. This all must stop.

All this war-mongering is unhealthy. It creates segregation between people, and making the country socially unfree.

Remember, boys and girls, both World War I and World War II each were over within five years. The idea of long, on-going military operations didn't come into being until after the Korean War. Since then, most wars that the United States has been involved in can best be described as "forever wars".

This neocon influence is not only about wars and military. When coupled with the PC progressive narrative and the army of social justice warriors that occupy our urban areas it combines to a toxic environment.

This is further exasperated when you throw in social media and the internet.

The United States graphic today.
The American political spectrum graphed for easy readability and comparison. Of course, the progressives consider Trump to be a neoconservative and fascist, yet his policies and actions do not reflect their narrative. His actions reflect a more libertarian approach to governance. Based on actions and policies.

America also feels very socially unfree in that there is this high level of fear and paranoia between people, even between neighbors, which creates social separation. You ask, “Hey! is that person an Arab and is he gonna scream “praise Allah” while he runs over my children?”.

You wonder if you should tell the girl in the office if she looks good in her dress, lest someone overhears and you lose your job for sexual harassment. (Which reminds me of the reason why the movie “God Bless America” came into being…)

God Bless America meme.
God Bless America meme.

You can feel it in the social vibe and energy of most places, which does not feel positive at all. There is this unnatural fear of strangers, and this ice wall between strangers.

Maybe it manifests by being yelled at by trolls on social media. Maybe it’s simply because the NSA is spying on everyone, or that all your location data (whether you know about it being collected or not) is being sold to anyone with a spare $20 to spend.

Or, maybe it’s because the social media, and the mainstream media routinely makes fun of you or people that you care about and love.

Whatever the reason, there is a kind of coldness in the United States today that wasn’t there a few decades ago.

America today.
America is no longer a place where you can be truly free. It is a place where you are observed and judged. It is a place where you behaviors are policed and if you do not conform, you risk losing everything through incarceration.

All of this manifests in a kind of distrust to people who you do not know. While sure, you smile at others on the street, or shake the hands of people in church, you tend to back away from getting too close.

You know, there are some really, really strange people “out there”. You don’t want to have your child kidnapped, or have someone break into your car for some meth. You have to be careful.

Crazy history.
Hey! Does that Antifa logo look familiar? Well, it should. It was the logo of the Communists who worked to bring Hitler to power. Then, once Hitler came to power, he set his Nazi goons after Antifa. Thus making them forever hate the Nazi’s that bested them. The progressive liberals wants a repeat of this.

Because of all of this, people seem cold and distant.

Out in public, people don’t talk to strangers unless it’s business-related. Communication is strictly for business only. There is no feeling of social or human connection at all. And no camaraderie between people. Instead, the atmosphere is one of cold isolation, which easily leads to loneliness.

SWJ university.
People start to put on a cold and aloof face when ever they are threatened or whenever they are afraid of being themselves. This fear of not showing who you really are manifests in other things, most of which results in a cold exterior and attitude.

The lack of freedom to speak your mind results in a cold exterior. You develop this out of necessity. It is like the child that is bullied in school who develops odd behaviors to fit in or avoid being hurt.

The thing is, humans are not meant to be solitary creatures.

We are meant to be interdependent, have friendships and social connection with others. It is an integral part of our happiness. Yet this is greatly inhibited in America, as explained above. And America falsely teaches that one should not need others, but be independent from others.

Needless to say, trying to make friends in America is one of the hardest things.

SUmmary of it all.
People were created to be loved. Things were created to be used. The reason for the world being in chaos is that things are being loved and that people are being used.

What this means is that America has become very socially unfree in that you do not have the freedom to socially connect with others.

[8] Tone down social media…

Well…duh…

People in modern America seem repressed, robotic and zombie-like, it is like they have no soul and are not alive. Perhaps this is why zombie movies and video games are so popular nowadays.

Americans have gotten into the habit of turning towards the internet for answers to things, friendships, creativity and a sense of belonging. We have turned to things, instead of turning to people.

That is unhealthy.

1980's geek movie war games.
Today, people devote hours to their computer or social media on their smart phone. Really, is all the :likes” on Facebook going to improve your life? We need to seek genuine acceptance with flesh and blood people what share our interests and values.

You don’t connect to ideas. You connect with people. You don’t feel belonging as a number, you belong when you have friends who call you by your name. We really need to step away from the computers and reconnect to others in real life in real time.

And hey! if you cannot connect with other people, then try animals. Dogs and cats make great companions. Please connect with something that is ALIVE.

Cat hugs.
Live your life with others. Share your passions, your experiences and who you are. Do not lock yourself in a tiny room in front of a flickering screen late at night.

You know, it wasn’t like that long ago though.

Americans were more human and natural in the past. Heck, I grew up in the 1960’s and 1970’s. This is a fact, Jack. With each decade, Americans gradually became cold, soulless, guarded, unfriendly, unsocial, hateful, jeering, spoiled, standoffish, cynical, snobby, and began to dislike others.

I blame the Clintons, and their RINO friends.

All of a sudden there was no longer a sense of closeness between family and friends. It was like a “wave of energy” swooped across the nation and changed people.

Ok, maybe I’m a little too harsh on the Clinton crime syndicate. You really need to look at all the trends and the root behaviors of huge swaths of people. Don’t know what I am talking about? Maybe these two links will give you some insight…

Diversity Initatives
Democracy

Thus, I blame many things for this.

Maybe it’s the trend to put pineapple of pizza. Or, maybe it is when the government tried to ban Tab. Maybe it was when McDonald’s was forced to remove their little aluminum foil ashtrays. Maybe it was when all of the media was bought up by a mere five people, and yet still not considered a monopoly. Maybe it was when NASA was re-purposed away from space exploration to Muslim outreach.

Ah, there are so many things that can be the root cause…

Though I will have to lay corporate and political greed, the rash of MBA types being graduated out of universities and social engineering merged with technology to be some of the major vectors. The reasons are complex and numerous. The puzzle is a large one, with many, many pieces.

A day in the life.
The influences on American life are many and complicated. There is no way that they can be distilled into something simple. However, with this under consideration, the reader should look at their own individual life and ask the difficult questions. Is life meaningful? Is is stress free? Are there things beyond your control, and or fears that are concerning? What are the solutions to reduce all this anxiety?

I guess that if there is one thing that I could positively say, is that the government and in the people in government stopped doing their jobs a long, long time ago. Instead they became focused in their own personal attainment of wealth.

The science fiction movie “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” in 1978, where people were replaced by alien clones with no feeling or emotion, seems to have already happened in America. Perhaps that film was a foreshadowing, either deliberately or as a message from higher forces above.

Of course, if you are a cold, unfeeling, soulless person yourself, you may not see anything wrong with this nor will you suffer from it. It’s only when you are soulful, passionate, romantic and full of feeling (like I am) that you suffer and feel out of place by this.

Connect with others.
We are human. We need to feel connected with others. We should turn off the electronic media. Instead of texting, talk in person. Instead of playing a game on the PC, go out to the park, bring some food and have an outing. We need to connect with others.

The good news is that you can still find people who are open, social, expressive, passionate and uninhibited today. If you look carefully you can find them. you do not need to travel overseas to find them either. They are right there, right under your nose.

We need to start TRYING to connect with others. We need to start doing it TODAY…RIGHT NOW.

They might be the gal having a caramel latte at Starbucks, or the guy putting gas in his SUV at the gas station. It might be the family taking their pet to the vet, or the old man shopping alone in the grocery store. You just need to go out, smile and make friends. Oh, yeah, one more thing that you gotta do…

Turn off your computer.

Conclusion

There are many things wrong with the Untied States today. There really is very little that we can do about it on a personal level. We can either accept it, or leave.

I like to think that America is a very resilient nation. I think that the people can adapt and change and restructure things towards a climate of prosperity and growth. With this in mind, perhaps if there was a sizable decrease in the number of laws and regulations, it would free up people…

Perhaps if we stopped our love affair with the internet and social media and started to connect with people, animals and families that we would be happier and healthier. Seriously, we NEED each other.

Take your dog for a walk, or better yet, a spin on the bike.

Finally, those evil and corrupt tyrants that are trying to box Americans into new construct involving political correctness and massive blatant crimes need to be reigned in. They need to be stopped.

This is not a complete list. Heck, I didn’t even touch upon taxes. I didn’t even mention many of the things that are seriously wrong with the Untied States today. I only offered a handful of things that would go a long way towards resetting America back on track.

It is a track that puts people first, and money second. It is a track that places an importance on traditional families, marriage, children and education. It is a track where we have roles within our communities and all work together for the better good.

It is a track where people can be the best of who they are. Where the government is small and stands out of the way of people’s freedom. A track where America implements what China does when it comes to social Justice Warriors… they isolate them, and keep them safe and far, far away from society. Lest they do irreparable damage to society.

Read about the Chinese solution here…

Finally, spend time with your loved ones. This can be your friends or family or pets. Just spend the time. You won’t regret it. Trust me.
