Over the years I have collected numerous articles that I have found on the internet. I would print them out. Carefully organize them, and put them in three ring binders. I carried these things around with me for years.
Then I got a divorce from my second wife. She slaughtered me, and all my documents were seized by the police for “evidence”. And wouldn’t you know it, they were misplaced.
A few years ago, I wanted to check what articles that I had written on Free Republic, but they considered me a “Commie” and deleted me. I tried to access my accounts via LinkedIN and discovered that they too considered me a “Commie”.
My MM post that caused this catastrophe was about the HK riots being A United States created color revolution.
Most, but not all, of my writings have been “deleted” by Free Republic by one of their Gen-Z staff who felt that I should not be on the platform. Thankfully some still exist, and have been used by the WF files, and other Internet sleuths to formulate articles around. Still…
So I will relate some stories right now that I just cannot find on the internet anymore. *sigh*
…
While demolishing a 1930’s bridge (I think it was in Pittsburgh or another “rust belt” city) they started to tear apart the stone tiers that held up the bridge. When they were knocking down the stone and cement blocks a cavity appeared. And inside were the skeletal remains of two men, who apparently were buried there. Maybe entombed. I do not recall.
Every now and then I muse about these men. Who were they? Why were they buried that way?
One cold case solved but without the who and why that my imagination so yearns for.
In another instance, another building tear-down in Philadelphia (as I recall) found a body at the bottom of one of the old elevator shafts. They thought that he must have been placed there sometime around 1910 or so.
He was placed there. Not jumped there involuntarily.
Curious.
This next one took place around the middle 1990s. A real estate developer bought up a bunch of farm land, and on it were some old long abandoned properties. All just rotting wood and what not. On one of the properties was a “cold cellar” which was a separate small mini-barn, no bigger than a tiny one-car garage, with a underground room built around a natural spring. These were very common in Pennsylvania back in the day.
When tearing it down they discovered that there was a small room behind the basement brick wall, and apparently a woman had lived there for decades, and eventually died there.
The article was very interesting. They identified who she was and all that. But as I recall, she must have been sealed up in that basement under that little out-shed next to the “cold cellar” for two decades or longer.
For twenty years. Entombed alive.
No journal or anything like that. But I recall that the bricks in the bottom permitted a metal tray of food to be slid back and forth into that tiny room.
What a way to do.
History is interesting .
Back in the 1990’s as the Internet was awakening, all sorts of weird and unique historical articles were popping up everywhere. Now you don’t see anything. It’s all so corporate… so sanitized. Do disgusting.
There’s a beauty in the Wild Wild West; the scene of chaos… and freedom. Where those without power, money, or fame could find a place to exist. But once it’s tamed you get what we have today…
…America.
Don’t get me started on Hollywoods pro LGBQ+ reprogramming. Or the corporate “news”, the sterile chain dining establishments…
Give me Vietnam.
Give me Bedlam, Color, Activity, song, dance, and a hint of danger.
*sigh*
Cold cases. Or in many cases … stuff that no one dare know about. Now maybe never.
Many secrets lie hidden that we rarely get to see before they are forgotten.

China’s allies in the Mid-East: Israel and Iran
As I write, it looks like Iran has fired drones at Israel from Iranian territory as a reprisal for Israel’s attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus on April 1, which resulted in the deaths of seven Iranians, including a senior member of the Revolutionary Guard.
Israel PM Netanyahu is working very hard to expand the Gaza conflict into a bigger ME war which will drag the US into the conflict, so that he will not need to resign under pressure.
While Israel and Iran are mortal enemies, both are helping China by dragging the US into a greater ME conflict which will bleed US military resources, and goodwill for the US worldwide. If the US becomes stuck in a war of attrition in the ME, it will be a gift to China because the US will not be able to do more in Taiwan and the South China Sea.
If it becomes a war of attrition, it is likely to hurt the reputation of Biden, and it could hurt his chances for re-election. Trump will likely capitalize on this during the runup to the election.
By doing nothing in the ME, China is winning. The Chinese call this “winning by lying down.”
Israel, Iran and the US are doing all the work for China.
Iran Seizes Israeli-Owned Merchant Ship in Strait of Hormuz
Reports have come in overnight saying Special Forces of the Iran Revolutionary Guard Corp (IRGC) seized the MSC ARIES in the Strait of Hormuz.
The vessel involved was the Portuguese-flagged MSC Aries, a container ship associated with London-based Zodiac Maritime. Zodiac Maritime is part of Israeli billionaire Eyal Ofer’s Zodiac Group.
The vessel was redirected to Iranian territorial waters.

What is the manliest thing you’ve ever witnessed?
We four friends were chit chatting during late night after the dinner. One of the guy, who we usually bully as being the most girlish in our circle, detects an odour of a burning coil.
“There’s something burning”, he mumbled.
“Shut up. I couldn’t smell anything”, said one of them.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, we see a bright flame in the kitchen and everyone runs out of the room. Within a few minutes, it was apparent that most of the things in the kitchen have caught fire. The window in the kitchen was open and it was really windy which added on to the dismay.
We were scared as fuck. None of us had the balls to jump into the kitchen to move the gas cylinder out and close the window.
Don’t know how the testestrone boosted in him for a second and this girlish dude, whom we took always for granted, jumped into the kitchen. Like a hulk, punched into the doors, and tore the curtains and kicked every ass on the earth to successfully bring the cylinder out. I kept watching. He grabbed a shovel and ran over there.
We stood standing outside thinking who would we make fun of if he dies.
Apparently, we realized that one of us had thrown a cigarette on a wooden utensil box that lit up the fire.
Now, he is still alive and no one dares to mock him for his non-masculine attitude.
It won’t be shocking for me to witness the manliest task by him of cutting and shaping steel like a superman to weld a machine.
The dude saved lives (like, not literally)
*sigh*
Absolutely true
Former Philippine president cautions that the US is attempting to instigate a war between China and the Philippines, calling for rational dialogue with China
Former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte called for rational and friendly dialogue with China on current bilateral issues and expressed sadness over the disputes in the South China Sea and the policies adopted by the current administration toward China in a recent interview by Global Times.
When asked about the message he wanted to convey to the people of both the Philippines and China regarding the current state of China-Philippines relations, Duterte issued a warning. He cautioned that the US is attempting to instigate a war between China and the Philippines, emphasizing that the US would not risk American lives for Filipinos. Duterte expressed hope that the Philippines could steer away from its detrimental path and resolve issues through dialogue and negotiation.
He expressed hope to stop the ruckus over the South China Sea, stating that the Americans are the ones pushing the Philippine government to go out there and quarrel and eventually maybe start a war.
Duterte thinks China and the Philippines have to wait before returning to the negotiating table on the South China Sea issue. “You cannot talk to the Philippine government because it is the Americans that will tell them what he should say to you. So it’s forever a cycle of incongruity,” he said.
Duterte envisions China and the Philippines collaborating to enrich people-to-people exchanges. Despite many Filipinos leaning towards a pro-American stance due to the educational system, he aspires for them to embrace new perspectives.
If African countries suddenly stopped doing business with China, who will replace China as their largest trading partner?
China gives African Nations – Machinery, Machine Tools, Agricultural Machinery, Railway Parts, Turbines, Motors, Pumps and Tooling Equipment which form bulk of Chinese exports to these regions
Plus almost 90% of the Electronics and Laptops and Smartphones sold in Africa
China arranges a Float Swap Facility ranging from 300 Million to 4 Billion RMB that ensures China can export these products and get paid in Local Currency that gets swapped to Yuan and immediately reused to buy Uranium Ore, Rare Earths, Tin, Natural Diamonds, Cocoa and Crude Oil
So it’s a barter system literally through a Yuan Float allowing the Africans some credit
In addition Chinese Companies do Construction work of Factories, Railroads, Power Stations through the Belt and Road Initiative where the funding comes from Chinese Banks and is secured by the Operational Revenue of this Infrastructure plus the Export Revenue earned for the Equipment used for building the Infrastructure
China also gets discounted Oil, Wood and Uranium and Thorium from Namibia at highly discounted rates
Plus China is providing a major digital backbone for Africa through Wireless Equipment, Internet Equipment and Ethernet Equipment
So it’s a Trade Ecosystem that China and Africa have that successfully has by passed the US Dollar almost completely over the years
So assuming the African Nations stopped doing Trade with China
They would need their demand for Machinery and Electronics to be supplied by others
India, Vietnam, Mexico combined have an Industrial Production Capacity of around 31% of China’s
You think they would supply Africa instead of Europe or US which are infinitely richer markets?
Nopes
Korea, Japan, Taiwan are even lesser and they make too advanced products to cater to African masses.
They would need Investments into Power and Infrastructure and Extraction and Refining of Metals
Who has that sort of money?
China has an annual trade Surplus of $ 800 Billion to $ 900 Billion
Easy to cut a $ 10 Billion Cheque
Russia and Saudi have the money but not the experience or set up
India is too poor
US is already printing more and more money to choke itself off and it won’t print money to see Africa prosperous
Bottom line is I don’t see anyone else rushing to take Chinas place in Africa
China takes but also gives
The rest only take, take and take
What’s the craziest thing you’ve heard pretending to be asleep?
There were a lot of abandoned cars left at our families service station. Over the years they were dragged out to the back forty, and left for years. One day when my cousins were out visiting, we quite correctly believed that they were junked cars. I was probably 6, my brother 8, my cousins between 5 and 9. We invented a game where we would jump from the fender of one car, to the fender of another. These were old 1940s and 1950s cars, and the front fender was distinct from the hood. We would jump across all 12 cars, and then come back on the back fender, and then over the roof of the end car, and repeat.
After a weeks jumping, we dented the fenders of the abandoned cars. They weren’t locked, and I found an extension cord in one. I used it as a lariat.
One day, long after my cousins had left, my uncle came over to visit, and I lassoed him. He wasn’t impressed, and asked where I got an extension cord from.
I told him I got it from the abandoned cars. He said that was theft, and he and my dad went to look at the abandoned cars.
When my dad and uncle came back, I didn’t want anymore flack from my uncle, so I pretended to have fallen asleep on the couch. They started talking, and my uncle said that the cars were damaged bad enough, that we should call the police. I quietly freaked.
When my uncle left, I went to bed, but I didn’t sleep for three weeks, waiting for the police to come and arrest me.
After 3 weeks, I asked my parents when the police were coming for me. They laughed and said nobody would call the police about abandoned cars. That my uncle just liked to make a big deal out of nothing. If they had known, that I had heard them, they would have told me the truth.
As I grew up, I realized that my uncle only saw the worst of everything, until he had to go for counseling when he lost a foot. He turned right around then, and tried to make up for all his past behavior.
I will never forget the stress I lived under. At 6, the week before Christmas lasts a whole year, so you can imagine how long that 3 weeks seemed to me.

Russia Fires ICBM – Sends Unmistakable Message . . . .
Russia has test-fired a nuclear-capable Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) but the test-trajectory was clearly chosen to send an unmistakable message – the missile flew directly over the Middle East!
The trajectory kept the missile within earth’s atmosphere so it could be seen by people in the South of Russia, Central Asia, Iran, and “other countries” in the Middle East. . . . . Israel.
The Russians didn’t have to say a single word to anyone, anywhere, other than to announce the test, which they did. They just fired this test . . . and as the missile traveled, it spoke all the words that needed to be spoken, to everyone who needed to hear.
Certain little countries in the world have been shooting their mouth off about how they’re going to do this, and going to do that . . . . to a Russian Ally . . . . . and Russia just told that little country – and its big brother – what’s what.

Do you like your quarantine lifestyle better than your regular one? Why or why not?
I think it’s fantastic to live and work entirely home-based. It’s comfortable, it’s economical, and the best thing is: it’s possible. We couldn’t have done this 30 years ago.
I am currently on holiday, but it doesn’t feel very different from work. Or shall we say, working almost feels like being on holiday. I like spending many hours in front of my computer anyway, and whether I surf the web for fun or do my actual work makes little difference.
The list of advantages is long:
- I get up at 07:30 as opposed to 06:30 now, because I don’t have to drive to work.
- I dress for comfort. Haven’t worn my tweed jackets in months.
- I sit with my legs up, and a cat on my belly.
- Mileage on the car has gone down to 200 a month instead of 1200 a month. That’ll slow its depreciation and extend its life.
- I save a good 200 Dollars a month on fuel money.
- I see my wife all day long, because she also works from home.
- We eat lunch together now.
- We cook that lunch ourselves, so our health is benefiting.
- I can reach my colleagues so much more easily now, because they are all hogging their computers. One ping, and Leif is on Skype for me. No more of that “sorry, on business trip to Norway, will get back to you when I have internet access.”
- The cats love having us around.
- By 16:00, we may be in the car, cruising the landscape for fun or going to some second hand farm shop. Not commuting the same old stretch of road we otherwise would.
- All our shopping is accomplished online, and so is the delivery.
Overall, the benefits to our finances and stress levels are evident. I certainly hope to continue living like this forever.

What is the most horrifying medical thing/disease you have seen?
I have seen many horrible diseases during my career but this case touched me at an emotional level. I once had a patient that I diagnosed with having a baby with Potter’s Syndrome (Potter sequence – Wikipedia). The baby would be born with a zero chance of survival without any functional lungs. The specialists advised her to terminate the pregnancy. She refused. I didn’t see the purpose of carrying a baby who would end up dying within minutes of birth. However she persisted and carried the baby to term and I ended up delivering her baby normally and handing the baby to her to hold. She cooed and spoke sweetly to the baby even as he was getting bluer and colder. There was no drama, no fighting for life. Baby stopped moving within a few minutes and I pronounced him dead. It was sad. I finished up my work and left for home.
The next morning I found out that the transplant teams from the San Francisco bay area had been busy overnight and harvested the organs to save several other babies. I was befuddled. This mother’s unspeakable tragedy made it possible for several other children to live. So now this baby lives on in the body of several other children. Even a non-emotional person like me was touched. There was a purpose for even this severely abnormal baby’s life.

When did you realize your child was no longer a child?
When my son was in the eighth grade, he got suspended and I had to leave work early to go get him. When I got there, I asked the principal what had happened. The principal explained that my son had beaten up three other boys and even broke one boy’s wrist. I was obviously horrified and asked my son what the fuck he was thinking. He simply told me that the boys had cornered one of his friends and were trying to make her strip for them. Being the chivalrous boy I raised him to be, he put a stop to it. I asked the principal if it was true and he dodged the question. In response to that, I told the school that if they’re going to allow sexual harassment, I didn’t want my child to attend and took him home. I told my son that I was going to take him out of public schools. He replied by telling me that he didn’t want to leave the school because of he wasn’t there then who was going to stop it from happening again.
This is when I realized my little boy had become a man. He would rather get in trouble to protect a friend than stay out of the spotlight and potentially face long term consequences.
Edit: I feel the need to point out that my son also got his ass kicked (and to be frank, “beat up” was probably the wrong term to use [a bit exaggerated] when describing what he did to those three boys). I assumed that was implied, but oh well. What can you do? The police were called and the bullies’ parents didn’t press charges as long as the girl’s parents didn’t either. The school penalized all three boys and the girl’s mother and I are very close friends now.
Why do many people (including the Americans who left the US) say that living in the US is hard and that leaving the country was the best choice they ever made?
I left the US almost 50 years ago to live in Germany. However, I frequently visit the US to stay there months at a time.
There are things that are “convenient” about living in the US: stores that open 7 days a week, some even 24/7; outside the large cities, ample free parking, better weather in vast parts of the US (compared to Germany), ease of meeting new people, etc.
But despite the “convenience”, yes, it is hard. It is hard living in a country with too many people recklessly wielding firearms – and using them. It is hard because many people do not respect others’ boundaries. It is hard because so many people are so poorly educated (I fault the system for that – not the people). It is hard because access to higher education is so expensive. The hire-and-fire mentality in the US is horrible. The fact that corruption has so openly visible on all levels is horrifying. And even more horrifying is that such a large portion of the population doesn’t care.
Leaving the US was the best choice I ever made because of the lousy American health care system. At the time I left, I had no idea I had a rare genetic defect that would eventually destroy my lungs. But once it reared its head, it became immediately clear that to survive more than a few years, I would require a double lung transplantation. I will always be grateful to the donor (and her family) for the gift of those lungs. And I will be forever grateful to the health care system here that made it possible for me to miss two years of work (one year of which I spent in-patient) without being financially worse for the wear. Twenty-one years after the gift of those lungs, I have been in and out of hospitals, have had three different cancer diagnoses, a couple of rounds of pneumonia, and sepsis, six years of dialysis, two kidney transplantation – all while being able to continue working – and still not being financially worse for the wear. Had I remained in the US, I would likely be bankrupt and/or dead.
Yellen tried to stop China’s development. This is how she failed.
What is your funniest story in your childhood?
When I was three our dog, Muffin, died. Back then, you were allowed to bury your pets in your backyard. (Or perhaps our vet just didn’t care and no one else was the wiser…) It happened while we were on vacation, so my parents asked our vet to freeze him so they could bury him next to their other dog when we got back.
They made sure I saw Muffin before putting him in the ground, let me touch him one last time… warned me he would be cold… I was mature and handled it well.
Later we were visiting my aunt and uncle. My aunt came and sat next to me and told me how sad she was that my doggy had died but I should be happy that he’s in doggy heaven now.
I looked at her very seriously and shook my head. “No, Aunt Sharon. He’s defrosting in the backyard!” (I had a fine concept of death and heaven but hadn’t been taught about doggy heaven and it just didn’t make any sense!)
Russia Hits Underground Gas Reserves in Ukraine; “Mushroom Cloud” from Fierce Explosion
At dawn, Russia achieved the largest strategic strike in Ukraine in history, when it destroyed Ukraine’s largest underground gas storage in Bilche-Volitsko-Uher in the city of Stryjak near Ľvov.
Russia utilized Kh-47 Kinzhal supersonic missiles and Kh-101 cruise missiles, to strike and detonate 17 billion cubic meters of stored natural gas!
The attack came from three different sides.
The destruction of the natural gas, combined with Russia’s unwillingness to supply new gas, means that Ukraine is “done” from an energy perspective.
A total of eight MiG-31 fighters carrying Kinzhal and Kh-101 aircraft hit the gas reserve, causing a nuclear-like mushroom cloud visible from Poland, 100 km from the Ukrainian border.
The reserve tank was located at a depth of 50 meters (~150 feet) from the surface of the earth, which did not prevent Kinžal from going through the stony ground “like a knife through butter” and exploding into the tank!
In Poland, radiation measurements began after what initially appeared to be a nuclear attack there, but this has not been confirmed.
Ukraine currently has less than half of its gas reserves, and after the destruction of the reserve, it cannot even be supplied from the European market.
The attack on this underground gas reservoir was confirmed by the Ukrainian company Zdroj 24 news.

Turkey DENIES U.S. Permission To Use Airspace to Attack Iran
The country of Turkey has DENIED permission to the US, to use Turkish air space to attack Iran. Turkey joins Kuwait, Qatar, and other Middle East nations in telling the US they cannot use wither bases or air space for any Iran attack.
Our “allies” seem to have finally had enough of our excusing any and every transgression perpetrated by Israel.
Israel is facing military consequences for its bombing of Iran’s Embassy Compound in Damascus, Syria. The Israeli attack was, as a matter of fact and law, an “Act of War.” The bombing of Iran’s Embassy compound violated the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic relations, to which most of the world adheres.
The consequences Israel now faces is being hit back militarily, by Iran which has a formidable missile force, and and equally formidable drone force.
Neither the US nor Israel want there to be any consequences, but the real world doesn’t work that way.
The US, at first, told Iran that, as long as no US facilities were targeted, the US “would not interfere.” That position quickly went out the window and today, the US “will defend Israel.”
The US has moved substantial naval assets closer to the Israeli coastline, and has moved an aircraft carrier strike group into the northern part of the Red Sea. Publicly, the US is pledging to intercept as many Iranian missiles as is feasible to do.
The US has been speaking with the governments of countries where US bases are located, and those discussions have gone absolutely nowhere. The US is being repeatedly DENIED permission to use those countries for any attacks upon Iran.
The denial of permission from Qatar was especially serious; that’s where the largest US base in all of the Middle East is located. The refusal of permission has severely undercut US ability to project force in the region.
The US is openly frustrated that “allies” are denying permission. For some reason, the US fails to see that Israel threw the first punch, and now Israel is going to get punched back.
Why the US is in such denial is anyone’s guess, but the countries which are denying permission realize quite clearly what their decisions are creating: A situation where “big brother USA” cannot defend the little bully, Israel.
Most of my former colleagues in the Intelligence Community have told me as of Friday night, they expect Iran to unleash a missile and drone barrage upon Israel, to hit Israeli government (military) assets.
They also tell me they expect the attack to begin THIS WEEKEND.
For its part, Israel has blustered they will counter-attack. IF they choose to do so, it will only escalate the situation.
Now that the USA is being militarily hamstrung by its “allies” perhaps the Israelis may become more amenable to getting along with neighbors . . . after they get punched back, by Iran.
The little Bully Israel seems set to get a bloody nose.
What’s the smoothest pick up line you’ve ever heard?
This pickup line was used on me…
At the time, I was a centre back on my Footy team. I had injured my ankle (a foul from behind. He received a quick yellow!), and found I needed to use crutches for a few days.
I was at a party, chatting with a friend when a young lady acquaintance (I didn’t know her well, we just had mutual friends) came over and asked me what had happened. The 3 of us talked for a few minutes, when I realized that the 2 pints I’d had was passing through me, and I needed to excuse myself and go to the loo.
I then turned, and with some trouble getting through the crowd because of the crutches, I was just about to the door of the loo when the young lady acquaintance loudly called my name, catching my attention…
Talking loudly, she said, “Do you need some help with that? I understand the doctor said you shouldn’t lift anything heavy!
The room went silent. My face turned very red!
The line worked!
First units of French Foreign Legion have been deployed to Slavyansk, Ukraine!
Members of the 3rd Infantry Regiment of the French Foreign Legion have arrived at the location of Ukraine’s 54th Independent Mechanized Brigade in Slavyansk, part of the Donetsk People’s Republic under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to preliminary information, the first group of 100 people consists of specialists in artillery reconnaissance, while the specialization of the engineering group is fortification and the construction of field fortifications.
The French troops, apparently, who only move around in the city when accompanied by Ukrainian forces, will help the Ukrainian Army defend Slavyansk when the front line shifts towards the city.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova warned that France would prepare 1,500 troops in April to be sent to Ukraine.
The Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly stated that the Kiev regime is using foreign mercenaries as “cannon fodder,” and that the Russian military will continue to target and eliminate them throughout the conflict zone.
What is the reason behind the strong patriotism of Chinese people? Is their support for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) genuine or forced?
China, as a civilization-state, has two main characteristics. Firstly, there is its exceptional longevity, dating back to even before the break-up of the Roman Empire. Secondly, the sheer scale of China – both geographic and demographic – means that it embraces a huge diversity.
The idea of China as a civilization-state is a fundamental building block for understanding China in its own terms. And it has multifarious implications. The relationship between the state and society in China is very different to that in the West.
Contrary to the overwhelming Western assumption that the Chinese state lacks legitimacy and is bereft of public support, in fact the Chinese state enjoys greater legitimacy than any Western state. We have come to assume that the legitimacy of the state overwhelmingly rests on the democratic process – universal suffrage, competing parties et al.
But this is only one element: if it was the whole story, then the Italian state would enjoy a robust legitimacy rather than the reality, a chronic lack of it. And to explain this we have to go back to the Risorgimento as only a partially fulfilled project.
The reason why the Chinese state enjoys a formidable legitimacy in the eyes of the Chinese has nothing to do with democracy but can be found in the relationship between the state and Chinese civilization.
The state is seen as the embodiment, guardian and defender of Chinese civilization.
Maintaining the unity, cohesion and integrity of Chinese civilization – of the civilization-state – is perceived as the highest political priority and is seen as the sacrosanct task of the Chinese state.
Unlike in the West, where the state is viewed with varying degrees of suspicion, even hostility, and is regarded, as a consequence, as an outsider, in China the state is seen as an intimate, as part of the family, indeed as the head of the family; interestingly, in this context, the Chinese term for nation-state is ‘nation-family / 国家’.
Yes, CPC is the head of the family and the inheritor and guardian of Chinese civilization.

Have you ever gone to a psychiatrist? What were the circumstances around the visit?
I sought the help of a therapist during my final months in New Zealand because I thought I had depression.
After telling him about my situation at length, he said:
“Let me summarize:
- you have been bullied out of your job;
- you have over one million dollars of debt and face repossession of your two houses and four cars;
- half of which because you have been pressured into buying a house for your mother in law, who has been actively sabotaging your marriage for almost ten years;
- your foster children you were expecting to adopt have been taken away and put back with their biological parents, teenagers imprisoned for drug offences who have now been released due to a law change;
- your wife wants a divorce.
And you think you have depression? You have every reason to be down! You’re healthy. Get out of here.”
And I did.
All the way to Shanghai, from where it took me three years to clean up the mess. But he was right, I never needed any anti depressants. With every dollar my bank statements began to look more balanced, I was better.

- If a person speaks less, but speaks fast, he keeps secrets.
- If a person sleeps a lot, he is sad.
- If someone can’t cry, he is weak.
- If someone eats in an abnormal manner, he is tense.
- If someone cries on little things, he is innocent & soft-hearted.
- If someone becomes angry over silly or petty (small) things, it means he needs love.Try to understand people more.
Have you ever witnessed a life ruined from a small mistake?
On the 4th of July, 16 years ago, I was at a fireworks show where parents accidentally killed their own child.
They had 6 children. One was a 6 month old baby.
They were at a fireworks show. It was really hectic. I don’t remember the exact details. A lot of people were there.
The dad had gone off on his own to buy snacks for the kids, he took the baby along.
Mom was sitting on a blanket with the rest of her kids, ready to watch the fireworks show. Someone from the show asked Mom to move her car, it was in the way. Mom left the oldest child in charge of all the younger ones on the grassy hill on their blanket. She walked over and hopped into the car.
At the same time, Dad had come back to the car after getting snacks to get a lawn chair out of the trunk. Mom and Dad didn’t see each other, Mom was already in the car. Dad set the baby carrier down on the ground behind the car, not knowing Mom was in the car ready to back up.
I’m not sure how it happened, Dad was either distracted talking to someone or busy setting snacks down. But while he wasn’t looking, Mom backed the car over the baby. It was horrible, chaotic, and devastating.
The baby was only partially backed over and survived for two days. He died after that. The pain of his parents was indescribable.
After that, an investigation ensued of the death of their child. They were found innocent, ruling that it was a horrible accident. But being investigated for the murder of their child made the death much worse and the pain last much longer.
Surprisingly, the couple did stay together. A lot of times, couples blame each other in events like that and have to separate after something so painful, or so I’ve heard.
However, they don’t celebrate the 4th of July anymore. It’s a horrible reminder of the death of their baby boy. Every year I see a post from them commemorating his death on Independence Day.
If I get a job offer of HKD $25,000, is it enough to stay in Hong Kong like renting, utilities, transportation, living cost, etc. for one person?
It depends on your life style.
A lot of people will say rent is the killer.
It isn’t the killer it once was. Rents are FALLING in Hong Kong and if you live in the New Territories a little bit away from an MTR station a 500sqft apartment can be had for about $7000 a month, live in the arse end of nowhere and $10000 can get you an entire 750sqft apartment.
But you trade travel time/expenses for rent.
Foodwise? You can survive easily on $100HKD a day.
Transport from arse end of nowhere to Admiralty for me is about $60HKD a day. This can be cheaper if I decide to arrive before 8am.
Utilities. Family of 4 lots of air con, lots of cooking (electric) is about $2800 a month electricity. I live mostly alone spend most of my time outside and I am also heat resistant so I spend about $700 (I do however weld a fair bit).
The problem is sanity money.
As somebody on a visa? Shenzhen is closed to you. Sanity money is doing things to get away from the nuttyness of the city and urban areas. This can be cheap as chips for instance cycling all over the territory (an older road bike can be bought for $2000). To ice skating, musical instruments etc to getting wasted.
That’s the big money sink here.
This is FRIGHTENING!
If you could change your high-stress lifestyle, how would you do it?
I have already done that. Here’s what I did:
- purchased a cheap house outright, so I can live mortgage free. It’s fantastic. I will never ever feel like I might lose the roof over my head.
- built myself a large stock of healthy dried foods, so I can theoretically last a year or more just on my sacks of pulses, rice, and canned veggies and fruits. The squirrels got it right.
- bought myself a fairly recent, compact Toyota hybrid – mobility assured.
- moved to a village in the wilderness, six hours from the next big city. It’s totally quiet at night, and all I hear during the day is the waves of the lake.
- got myself a pleasant university job.
- invested in some premium mattresses and bedding, as well as earplugs – great sleep is your main weapon against stress.
- I keep cats instead of dogs – they inspire me with their ability to sleep on the couch all day long.
- all my lighting is LED, so I don’t need to worry about leaving it on. It will be cheap and the bulbs last 20 years.
- built myself a little home cinema in the basement where I can retreat and watch films with the cats every evening. Watching films is supremely relaxing.
- I’ve left all the accounting to my wife, who likes doing it.
What is the sleaziest, dirtiest trick an auto insurance company tried to pull on you? Did they succeed?
My wife was killed in an accident in Minnesota. A juvenile was driving her brand new vehicle way too fast even tho the road conditions were dry (speedometer was stuck at 1 04 when they were investigating).
The girl/insurance was found 100% at fault. Her insurance was a hefty one since she was a minor. Their insurance had the gall to keep calling me asking health questions about my wife and she was prone to seizures, blacking out suddenly, vertigo, etc. I was like WTH and told them I was going to get an attorney (this was Wednesday morning…accident was Tuesday night at 8:44PM). By 11AM I already had answered numerous calls from her ins, had to tell 4 kids their mom passed away, had to let her family in Arizona know that she passed.
At 11:45 on the morning after, I get a call from her insurance company asking if I would accept $1,000 for my pain, suffering and not go to trial. This girls insurance policy was over 500k. I told them that they are out of their effing mind…the girl that offered me chuckled and said she thought I wouldnt accept and hung up. I got a lawyer, had him let them know I wouldnt accept and we would reach a settlement.
All in all, the insurance company sat on the policy earning interest for 2 years and then on month 26, the KIDS reached a college settlement that they couldnt touch until each of them reached 18, 21, 25 (I didnt want them to get all that money right away and blow it even tho one had a sleazy partner and they blew thru the age 21 settlement in 3 days).
I think its very sleazy that they were trying to distance themselves from the accident and then trying to weasel themselves out of paying the insurance settlement. We didnt get the full settlement but it was close and I still have 2 children out of the 4 still collecting interest and checks.
Why does Israel kill kids? Why do Israelis online claim these deaths are not happening?
This was a Nation that once refused to starve Egyptian soldiers it had encircled in 1973
Moshe Dayan once said If Israel acted like terrorist groups, it would lose the moral ground to the world
Golda Meir formed the Wrath of God team to selectively hunt down the 1972 Munich Massacre terrorists – one by one over almost 11 years at a cost of $ 42 Million rather than send a few aircraft and bomb Jordan or Lebanon for harboring those terrorists
Those days are done and dusted now
The Americans started with Agent Orange and began to justify killing Civilians
Then in 1999, Tony Blair openly claimed the West had a right to meddle in any Country’s affairs for World Peace
And thus began the growth of Evil in the West
I would say the Evil began with Bill Clinton and Tony Blair – both alleged pedophiles and both on the list of that notorious and accepted pedophile Epstein
Europe was still protected by good nationalists like Chirac and Schroeder
Then gradually the Evil spread everywhere
Bush Jr, Obama, Trump, Biden, Scholz, Boris Johnson,Macron and Netanyahu – the list goes on and on
The Israelis are evil people today
They seem to believe that killing women and children is fully justified
That’s not a problem in itself
Yet they seem to believe Arabs and especially Palestinians are akin to animals and deserve to die
So many Israeli kids seem surprised as to why the whole world is reacting to the deaths of Palestinians
Just like in 1940, Hitler Jugend used to ask why everyone was so worried about Jewry when the Reich was doing their job for them and ridding the world of that Jewish influence
Their God once protected them because they were on the right path and the world was persecuting them
I believe the same God will abandon them or has abandoned them to the Devil long ago
They are too evil and they deserve God’s judgment
Let’s hope like Moses – a new round of plagues arise and exterminate all the evil Israelis leaving behind the Good ones who can again build up the former ‘Honor’ of their race that existed in the times of Golda Meir and Moshe Dayan

The thing is, for many men, it's not even, "guilty until proven innocent." Its, "guilty EVEN if proven innocent."
Green Chile Burros
The burro is shown “enchilada style.”
Ingredients
- 1 small beef roast, diced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 (4 ounce) cans diced green chiles
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (16 ounce) can tomatoes, drained (juice reserved)
- 1/2 teaspoon comino (cumin)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- All-purpose flour
Instructions
- Brown diced meat in fat in a large, heavy saucepan. Add onion, green chiles, garlic and drained tomatoes. Add enough drained tomato juice (plus water if needed) to cover. Add comino, salt and pepper. Cook, covered, until meat is very tender.
- Mix flour with a small amount of water to form a thin paste and add to mixture to thicken slightly.
- Heat a large flour tortilla on a griddle. Fill with meat mixture and fold.
Notes
Enchilada Style: Follow instructions above, then place in a shallow serving dish. Pour enchilada sauce over the top to cover, and sprinkle with grated cheese. Heat in a 425 degrees F oven until the cheese is melted.
I sometimes make a fast version of this. I use leftover pot roast, dice it up, mix it with the remaining ingredients and just simmer it until the onion is tender. Thicken it with the flour as stated in the recipe.
What was the funniest moment you had with your boss?
I have had so many wonderful moments with Jay (store manager), it’s hard to decide on which one.
I think this was hilarious, but I doubt Jay would, good thing he doesn’t read my answers.
I was working in my department, Jay and I were visiting just before he was going home. A customer walked up to my service counter. I wished I could remember what the customer said or did that had me lose my temper. It takes a lot before I lose it.
Anyway, the customer upset me and I said, “You can shove it where the sun doesn’t shine and I don’t mean a closed book.” The customer walked away. Jay looks at me and said, “You are so busted!” He walked away to talk to the customer. I stood there cussing myself out for my stupidity.
Jay returned. In the coldest tone, he said, “You back room now!!!!!” I walked back there. I knew that there was nothing I could say to save my bacon.
He stood there glaring at me, counting to ten, taking deep breaths, counting again and clenching and unclenching his fists. I was smart enough not to be a smarta$$ and ask him if I was in trouble.
He finally said, “How? How in the H E double hockey sticks did you manage to do it?!?!” I waited to find out what I managed to do. Jay sputters out, “ I went to talk to the customer to smooth things out, so corporate would not become involved. The customer told me that everything was great and if I punish you in anyway, she will call corporate on me?!!?” I looked at him and said, “Maybe because I am cuter?” He stormed off!
We are still friends to this day! I’m still cuter!
Russia to United Nations: Prepare for “Unconditional Capitulation” of Ukraine
Russia just said the quiet part out loud: There must be unconditional capitulation (i.e. surrender)” by Ukraine.
During yesterday’s UN Security Council meeting Vasily Nebenzya, the Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations, said:
“This is how it will go down in history – as an inhuman and hateful regime of terrorists and Nazis who betrayed the interest of their people and sacrificed it for Western money and for Zelenski and his closest circle.
In these conditions, attempts by the head of the Kiev regime to promote his formula and convene summits in support of the Kiev regime cause only confusion.
Very soon the only topic for any international meetings on Ukraine will be the unconditional capitulation of the Kiev regime.
I advise you all to prepare for this in advance.”
“When I was elected as president then (in 2016), I tried to craft an independent foreign policy, not really against America. I have no quarrel with America. But the problem was our foreign policy was dovetailing theirs, and not so good with China. So I started on a neutral foreign policy. I announced to the world that I had no friends and no enemies to fight. I just want to be neutral. And I did not have to kowtow to anybody’s foreign policy, especially the Americans. […]
Most of the ASEAN countries have followed a very neutral, independent foreign policy. I would have wanted that… That is why I slowly detached myself, and, at least in foreign policy, and announced to China that we are not enemies, that we have never been, and never will be in our lifetime.
Here in the West Philippine Sea (South China Sea), when I was president, there was no quarrel. We can return to normalcy. I hope that we can stop the ruckus over there, because the Americans are the ones pushing the Philippine government to go out there and find a quarrel and eventually maybe start a war.
So I am very sure of that – America is giving the instructions to the Philippine government to ‘not be afraid because we will back you up.’ […]
I am sorry for my country. I am not the president anymore. I cannot run. But if there is a way we can reverse the situation, we might find a way inside to implode somewhere. And if God would allow it then perchance I would be able to reverse the situation. I would remove the bases.
And I would tell the Americans, you have so many ships, so you do not need my island as a launching pad or as a launching deck for you.”
How does China’s “petitioning” system work in China?
This is a custom which had its origins in China’s imperial past.
The idea was this: If a local official behaved intolerably, the people would go to the imperial capital and make an appeal to an imperial official, or in some cases, even to the emperor himself. The petitioners would lay out their case, explain the rationale for their appeal, and ask for senior official or emperor to make a judgment.
This could be very dangerous: what would happen if the senior official or emperor sided with the local official, and ordered that all the petitioners be executed? For this reason, it was considered a very risky strategy.
This petitioning method continues to the present day. When Hu Jintao was president, in some cases, local officials would go to the train and bus stations to prevent the petitioners from boarding trains. There were even a few cases where petitioners made it to Beijing, and were kidnapped by the local officials and taken back to their village! This was considered to be a serious violation of the authority of the Beijing central government.
Xi Jinping has tried to modernize this system, which is why he has strengthened the authority of the Party Discipline Committee of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. In effect, they act as “flying magistrates” or judges who were sent out to the provinces to hunt down and remove corrupt local officials. If you follow the detective stories of Judge Dee and Judge Bao, they were flying magistrates who represented the emperor, which was why local officials all had to kneel before him.
