Cat Abandoned When Owners Moved Jumps Into His Rescuer’s Arms
Probably most cat owners have dreamed of building their cat a little home at some point, but not like this! Peter, the founder of the ZenByCat organization, and the builder of this wonderful cat paradise that we’re about to show you, slowly but surely executed his life’s dream: living in harmony surrounded by the cuddly and perfectly happy rescued fluffballs.
Just how many cats, you might ask? Over twenty. But it’s alright, Peter’s house is built for it. Literally. So scroll right down and check out the catopia, the Shangri-La of cat homes, except this one exists for real.
God bless this man.
Here’s Peter, the founder of the “House of Nekko”
.
Nobody could’ve imagined that he’d turn his house into catopia (cat utopia), but he did
.
Peter, who bought the house in 1988, has designed the house to meet all of the needs of his rescue cats
.
.
.
It has platforms specially made for cats to roam around without sacrificing the high ground
.
.
There are tons of plants and feeding spots so they feel like the kings and queens of the jungle
.
Separate feeding spots ensure that they’re never fighting for their food
.
It even has spiral stairways that have access to floors only cats can get to
.
.
Even the bathroom is decked out to suit the needs of the felines
.
Yes, this is a cat hamster wheel
.
There are even some plant-themed rooms just so they feel like in great outdoors
.
.
.
.
The house has lots of high spots that cats love
.
Of course there are scratchers and beds, too
.
.
“I heard you like cat houses, so we put a cat house inside a cat house, so you can live while you live”
.
.
Overall, Peter has over 20 rescued indoor cats living with him
.
.
The cats are well taken care of. As if all of it is not enough, they even have their own pillows and blankets

Peter’s ZenByCat non-profit organization was found to fight a deadly disease called FIP, Feline Infectious Peritonitis
The story of Zen By Cat begins with a kitten Peter adopted in, 2016, Miss Bean.
Miss Bean was diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). With her condition rapidly deteriorating Peter seemingly had no choice but to euthanize her.
But before the decision was final, Peter received a message from a friend of his. She said she knew a vet at UC Davis, who might be able to get Miss Bean into a Drug Trial for young kittens with FIP.
Peter decided he had to try.
Over the course of the next 31 days Peter and Miss Bean went on a roller coaster of improvements and setbacks against FIP.
Sadly, Miss Bean lost her fight on July 26, 2016.
In honor of Miss Bean and all other victims of FIP, Zen By Cat was set up as a nonprofit to raise money and awareness for FIP research. Since this, Dr. Pederson and others at UC Davis, have made great strides in their research and have successfully cured many cats from FIP, including Peter’s cat Smokey.
But there is still work to be done to bring the drug that saved Smokey and others to market.
Peter’s workstation just screams “I love cats”

And last but not least, an obligatory stalking window

China to restrict visas for US officials
The tit-for-tat move comes after Washington placed similar restrictions on the Chinese, citing “human rights abuses”
China has decided to restrict visas for a number of US officials in response to similar measures introduced by Washington earlier this month over alleged human rights abuses.
"The Chinese side decided to impose retaliatory visa restrictions on certain US officials who spread lies on the issue of human rights, imposed sanctions against China and harmed China's interests," stated Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin on Thursday. Wang said the move was made "to protect the sovereignty, security and development interests of the PRC.
The spokesperson claims that the US used, what he called, the false pretext of human rights issues to [1] interfere in the internal affairs of China, [2] discredit Beijing, and [3] put pressure on Chinese officials. Wang stated that such actions are a serious violation of the basic principles of international law and international relations.
China’s foreign ministry has so far not confirmed which exact officials will fall under these new restrictions, but the spokesperson said that those who invented the “lies” surrounding the issue of human rights and harmed China’s national interests already know who they are themselves.
The announcement comes after The US State Department imposed visa restrictions on Chinese officials who Washington claims are responsible for the intimidation and harassment of human rights activists and dissidents in China and around the world.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken cited the alleged “genocide” of Uighur muslims and repression of dissidents in Hong Kong and Tibet, saying the US …
“rejects efforts by [People’s Republic of China] officials to harass, intimidate, surveil and abduct members of ethnic and religious minority groups, including those who seek safety abroad, and US citizens, who speak out on behalf of these vulnerable populations."
The US urged China to…
“end its ongoing genocide and crimes against humanity in Xinjiang, repressive policies in Tibet, crackdown on fundamental freedoms in Kong Kong,” and other abuses elsewhere.

Singapore appears to embrace the West
Remark by a Singapore friend :
Lee Hsien Loong is that piece of shit who betrayed his father and his siblings by colluding with the enemy — racist UMNO — which gleefully kicked Singapore (the little red dot on the map) out of the Malaysian Federation and caused LKY so much tears and grief!
When LKY was Singapore’s PM, he made it clear to Washington that US troops will never be allowed to make use of Singapore as a military base or a staging post in the event of a war between America and China.
Yet, the spineless HS Loong is now running head over heels to lick Yankee Joe Biden’s boots before the world press! How low and despicable can anybody get?
Poland wants to cut-up Ukraine and sever ties with Russia
Medvedev for more than the past week has leveled consistent criticism that Washington is a “puppeteer” behind modern Poland.
Earlier in the month The Washington Examiner related Medvedev’s words as posted in an essay to social media channels as follows:
The essay, posted on Medvedev's Telegram channel, claimed that Poland and Russia have a long and "common history" that destines them to work together but that the Poles had been led astray by the U.S., "their puppeteers from across the ocean with clear signs of senile insanity."
This had been followed by Russian Ambassador to Poland Sergei Andreev just days ago saying it’s a possibility that Moscow might be forced to shutter its embassy in Warsaw in response to Polish authorities moving to expel 45 Russian diplomats who stand accused of spying, or are at least under suspicion, with the Ukraine war ongoing.
In particular Medvedev’s newest comments take aim at Poland’s reneging on crucial gas contracts…
“In 2020, Warsaw imported up to 10 billion cubic meters of Russian gas, but now it intends to abandon previous contracts. The volume of gas supplies from Russia to Poland this year has already decreased by 13% compared to last year,” Medvedev explained. “Reverse supplies of the same Russian gas have been proposed as a replacement from Germany, as well as imports of LNG from Qatar, Norway and the United States. Economic benefits have fallen victim to bad political decisions.”
They keep promising us that things will start getting better. When will that actually happen? Once winter was over, the supply chain crisis was supposed to be on the way out. Instead, as you will see below, even CNN is being forced to admit that it is getting even worse. The war in Ukraine and a new wave of COVID lockdowns in China are being blamed, but those are only two pieces of the puzzle. The truth is that we are now in the third year of this epic supply chain crisis, and there is no end in sight.
‘You go to a store, you don’t have bread. We’re like a third world country. They don’t have things. You go to buy something at Tiffany, you go to buy something at a hardware store — high, low — they don’t have product.’
Of course Trump is 100 percent correct.
Throughout our entire economy, there are shortages, delays and backlogs.
Trump himself has been personally affected by this. In fact, in the interview he appeared to refer to a wait of “nine months” for something that he had ordered…
‘They say — even me, when I order things, like for furnishings, for a building or something — they say it’s going to take nine months to get it,’ Trump said. ‘Used to be like, same day service.’
Prior to 2020, most Americans never would have imagined that this sort of supply chain crisis could be possible.
But here we are.
And according to CNN, experts are openly admitting that our supply chain problems are now “getting worse”…
Problems with global supply chains were supposed to be getting better by now. Instead, experts say they are getting worse.Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which cut off exports from Ukraine and put Russian businesses under sanction, has set off a series of new supply-chain bottlenecks. So has a surge in Covid cases in China, which has led to temporary lockdowns in parts of the country.
So when will things finally start getting better?
When the war in Ukraine ends?
I wouldn’t hold my breath on that one.
When the COVID pandemic is over?
If you are waiting for that to happen, you are going to be waiting for an awfully long time.
And what is going to happen if another major “black swan event” comes along?
We are so vulnerable right now, and we should have never allowed ourselves to become so deeply dependent on other nations.
For example, once upon a time the U.S. had a dominant position in global computer chip manufacturing. But now the vast majority of our chips come from overseas, and the war in Ukraine is threatening to take the chip shortage to an entirely new level…
Ukraine and Russia don’t produce computer chips used by global automakers. But Ukraine is the world’s leading source of neon, a gas needed for the lasers used in the chip-making process. While some chipmakers have stockpiled neon ahead of the fighting, there are concerns about the long-term availability of the gas.“People expected the semiconductor shortage to continue. But nobody predicted Ukraine,” said Bernard Swiecki, director of research at the Center for Automotive Research, a Michigan think tank.
The chip shortage is already affecting almost every industry in America to at least a certain degree, and now we are being told that it could get a lot worse in the months ahead.
That is really bad news.
As shortages intensify, that is going to make our raging inflation crisis even more severe as well. There is way too much money chasing way too few goods and services, and that will remain the case for the foreseeable future.
Meanwhile, economists with Bloomberg are warning that the average American should budget an extra $5,200 this year for higher prices – or an extra $433 every month.Economists Andrew Husby and Anna Wong write that households can expect to pay thousands more in 2022 for the same basket of goods and services they used last year.
And with each passing month, money will just get tighter and tighter for hard working American families. In fact, one survey has found that 20 percent of all U.S. workers are now completely running out of money between paychecks…
Now, workers are running out of money faster, Salary Finance found.Roughly 20% of employees regularly run out of money between paychecks, up from 15% last year, according to the survey of more than 3,000 working adults in February.
Making ends meet is going to become increasingly painful, and the shortages and the price hikes are just going to intensify in the months ahead.
Some of the things that we will soon see will be absolutely unprecedented. For example, one of Steve Quayle’s readers says that the price of eggs is about to double at her local store…
I know I sent an email out to you both in regard to the warnings I was given by several different store managers. Well I have another one. Yesterday the store manager at Price Less Foods told me that the price of eggs will be doubling and there will be a massive shortage of eggs. I am lucky to live in an area where I can purchase fresh eggs from several different people who have chickens, not everyone can.
We are being hit by so many things at once, and the American people are becoming quite restless.
Just this week, a new survey found that just 33 percent of Americans approve of Biden’s handling of the economy.
In April 2021, 52 percent of Americans approved of his handling of the economy.
So much has changed over the past year, and a lot of people out there think that things can’t possibly get any worse than they are right now.
But they will, because the truth is that we are only in the very early chapters of this nightmare.

Sanctionistas go shopping for rubles
2022-03-26
As the situation stands today:
1. Russia has announced that since the US and the EU have defaulted on their US dollar and euro obligations, respectively, by freezing Russian reserves, Russia will now only sell natural gas for rubles.
2. There is no other source of sufficient quantities of natural gas available; thus, the EU has no choice but to continue importing natural gas from Russia.
3. The EU has to keep the gas flowing or it will be unable to make it through next winter without shutting down all industrial production or letting the housing stock go unheated.
How will the EU get the required quantities of rubles? Good question!
The following comprehensive analysis (credit: “adventurist”) answers it pretty well.

Lots of startling changes yesterday. Russia announced, apparently, a gold-backed or gold-related ruble. I haven’t had time to think about all the implications. Information is hard to come by, because the US blocks Russian news in order to control the Ukraine narrative and war propaganda. The Bretton Woods system collapsed when the West seized Russian central bank reserves, and it seems that the gold ruble adds to the end of the US dollar as world reserve currency under Bretton Woods. The implications could be vast, and the Washington idiots might very well wish they had left the Russians alone. I told them over and over that Russia had had enough of them, but the arrogant idiots didn’t listen. The sanctions, it seems, have brought about regime change in the West, reducing its power and influence.
Another big development is that apparently Ukraine has agreed to be a neutral country, no NATO, no foreign bases, no nuclear weapons, and accepts eastern Ukraine gong its own way. We will see if US puppet Zelensky is permitted to sign what Ukraine has agreed. Meanwhile, Russia has stopped its assault on Kiev, and is focused on clearing the remaining Nazi militias out of the Donbass region. I think the low-intelligence governments in Poland and Romania will get the message, and the US missile bases in those countries will be closed before too long.
These are major developments with many large implications. The World Economic Forum’s “reset” has likely been replaced by a Russian-Chinese reset.
The US ran on arrogance for so long that it has hollowed itself out. The Western world’s fate is unclear. It seems no one in intellectual, business, or political leadership positions believes in freedom and civil liberty. The US certainly is busy at work cancelling itself:
Present generations of Americans will not recognize their country. Rivers, mountains, streets, schools, public spaces, even towns are losing their names and acquiring new politically correct names. Normally, this is what outside conquerors do to a country, but we are doing it to ourselves. A country that destroys its own monuments and history is lost.
My conclusion is that the days of the West are over. The West is drowning in accumulated mistakes and degeneracy. The moral fiber in the leadership ranks is gone

Ukraine: US Biowarfare Labs Developed Disease Delivering Drones (DDD?)
It’s not just used in China, apparently.
Documents and other evidence from US funded laboratories in Ukraine suggest that Kiev was planning to use drones to deploy pathogens against the Donbass as well as Russia, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.
Moscow has also identified specific US officials involved in the development of bioweapons in Ukraine.
Of particular interest to Russian investigators are “documents testifying to the plans of the Kiev regime to use unmanned aerial vehicles capable of carrying and spraying deadly substances,” military spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said during a briefing.
Facts in the possession of the Russian military “prove that the Kiev regime was seriously considering the possibility of using biological weapons against the population of the Donbass and the Russian Federation,” Konashenkov added.
Russia has also identified “specific officials who took part in the creation of components of biological weapons,” the general added. He did not name any of them, however, saying only they were “the heads of divisions and employees of the US Department of Defense, as well as its main contractors.”
Een US biolab met een vreemde verzameling, Rusisch DNA.Drones om muggen die besmet zijn los te laten.https://t.co/iEcQu7TrhG— Petr@ (@Nomediocre_P) March 1, 2022
These campaigns were “directly related to the son of the current US president, Hunter Biden,” Konashenkov added, citing investigations in the Western media. Last week, the Daily Mail published emails showing Biden’s ties to the Pentagon contractor Metabiota, which specialized in researching pandemic causing pathogens that could be used as bioweapons.
Among other things, 🧵reports Ukraine documents on drones transporting biolab substances:"Regarding biological weapons laboratories, the documents that reveal the plans of the Ukrainian regime to use drones to transport and disperse substances are particularly interesting."— Pipers Creek (@piperscreekway) March 30, 2022
Hunter Biden’s involvement in the US funding of Ukrainian biolabs was brought up by Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, commander of the Russian Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection Forces, in a briefing last Thursday.
The results of the further analysis of documents and other evidence obtained from Ukrainian biolabs will be shared in more detail “in the near future at a special briefing,” Konashenkov promised.
Highly Pathogenic Avian Flu Detected In Five More US States
An outbreak of the deadly strain of bird flu is quickly spreading across the U.S. The risk to humans is low, but bird flu could wreak havoc in the nation’s poultry industry ahead of Easter.
The United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) announced on Wednesday that highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) was detected in five new states.
A non-commercial, mixed-species backyard flock (non-poultry) in Berkshire County, Massachusetts;
A non-commercial, mixed-species backyard flock (non-poultry) in Johnson County, Wyoming;
A commercial poultry flock in Johnston County, North Carolina;
A non-commercial, backyard chicken flock (non-poultry) in Franklin County, Ohio;
And a backyard chicken flock (poultry) in Kidder County, North Dakota.
According to Bloomberg, USDA data shows the bird flu has been found in 23 states in flocks totaling about 17 million birds up and down Mid-Atlantic and Northeast and across the Midwest.
Russia’s independent sociological research organization Levada Center’s poll conducted between March 24-30 showed that Russian public’s support for the actions of their president rose by more than 10% compared to the figures in January or February. It was 69% in January and 71% in February.

Regime-ology is a new field of study so the practitioners are still working out the tools and methods for interpreting regime activity. Unlike Kremlinology, on which regime-ology is modeled, the focus is not on a hierarchical structure. The Soviet empire was run by a vertical organization that operated like a corporation. The American empire is a horizontal organization modeled on the Mafia. It is a collection of elite gangster organizations jostling for power within the elite.
With Kremlinology, events could be interpreted as either a signal from the party elite or representing internal party changes. If someone disappeared from the public eye, it meant he had fallen out of favor with the party leaders. If party media reported something hanky about a party member, it was assumed to have been done with the permission of the party leaders to prepare the public for a change. The target was being shaped as a scoundrel so he could be denounced.
Regime-ology is a bit more complicated. If someone disappears for a while, it could mean nothing more than he is having a blood transfusion at one of Google’s secret rejuvenation centers. On the other hand, disparaging information about an oligarch in regime media could simply mean that one mob family is unhappy with another mob family and this is how they are communicating it. Using the media promotes the interests of the gangster class and delivers the message.
That is probably how to interpret the sudden interest by regime media in the famous Hunter Biden laptop from two years ago. For those not interested, this was the laptop that President Biden’s drug-addled son abandoned at a Delaware computer shop, which contained a trove of embarrassing information about the family. In addition to thousands of naked selfies and pics of Hunter smoking crack and meth with prostitutes, it had details of the Biden family criminal dealings.
Regime media dutifully covered this up by declaring it Russian propaganda and going as far as to imply it was a Trump campaign dirty trick. The New York Post, which was the first to report the laptop story, came under withering assault from the Silicon Valley crime families until they dropped the story. Facebook started banning people from their site for mentioning the story. Like the people air brushed from official photos in the Soviet Union, this story was erased from public view.
This is nothing new. The power of regime media is in what they can make the public ignore and this was a typical example. They do this by framing the issue as good guys versus bad guys, which is catnip for the American moralizer. Then they declare the thing to be ignored as the black hat and let the moralizers do the rest. Anyone mentioning the laptop on-line or even in private conversation was declared a crazy QAnon conspiracy theorist by others in their circle.
For no reason at all, the laptop story is back. First the intel community told the New York Times to admit they lied two years ago about it being fake. They did not mention that it was the intel community that lied, of course. Then the Washington Post was told to write about the Biden family’s criminal dealings that were on the laptop. The Post is the official organ of the intelligence community. You will recall that the Post was instrumental in the Russian collusion hoax in 2016.
Even more interesting, the scandal ridden outlet CNN has been given the green light to unleash their nutters on the story. This is a story posted by Dean Obeidallah, a former circus clown and far-left conspiracy theorist. In addition to being a conspiracy hub, CNN is also a popular landing spot for disgraced members of the intel community. Andrew McCabe and Josh Campbell landed there after being forced out of their jobs. The FBI uses CNN to control the Antifa/BLM community.
Taken together, this new interest in the Hunter Biden laptop story suggests the intel community is unhappy with the Biden crime family. It could be a warning shot about the recent rantings by Biden in Poland. This has created huge problems for the foreign policy gangsters running the war with Russia. They have been forced to spend their time telling European leaders that Biden should be ignored. This is not a good look for the Global American Empire in the middle of a crisis.
One way to look at this is that they are preparing the way for Biden to be removed from office this year. The plan was for him to pretend to be in charge through the midterm then hand things off to strong diverse female. Team Biden has been making plans for him to run again in 2024, while he is clearly in rapid decline. The Hunter Biden story could be the leverage to force Team Biden to stick to the deal. He takes the blame for the midterms, retires for health reasons and the laptop disappears.
On the other hand, this could be the start of a plot to hang the Ukraine debacle on Biden and his crooked son. The regime media is being told to sell the Ukraine war as a smashing success, but that can only go on for another month. Reality in the ground says the Russians are slowly grinding up the Ukrainian army. In a month, there will be little of it left in the east. Whether it is by force or by negotiations, the Russians will get the terms they laid out last month.
Then there are the economic sanctions. This is proving to be a disaster for the Global American Empire. The Germans just cut a deal with the Russians to buy gas in rubles, even through both sides are pretending otherwise. The Germans will buy the gas in Euros from Gazprom, which will then convert them immediately into rubles at the agreed upon exchange rate. This is de facto acceptance by Germany that they will buy gas from Russia in rubles. The rest of Europe will now follow.
What we could be seeing here is Afghanistan 2.0. The military industrial complex, the intel community and the foreign policy establishment opposed the withdraw from Afghanistan, but team Biden insisted on it. They let Afghanistan collapse and then let Team Biden take the blame for it. Notice that no one actually responsible in the military, intelligence of foreign policy realm was fired. We could be seeing the same thing afoot with the looming Ukraine disaster.
Again, regime-ology is a new field. We do not know what we do not know, so we are left to our imaginations. Maybe Hunter Biden is so mobbed up that even the thoroughly corrupt FBI has to acknowledge it. Maybe this is a feint to distract from something much worse that is in the wind. All we can know is that Hunter Biden will never be charged and we will never know the truth about the Biden family corruption. In a gangster state like America, those things are handled internally.
Margaret Flowers: You’re listening to Clearing the FOG, speaking truth to expose the forces of greed, with Margaret Flowers. And now I turn to my guest, Michael Hudson. Michael is the president of the Institute for the Study of Long-term, Economic Trends, ISLET. He’s a Wall Street financial analyst and a distinguished research professor of Economics at the University of Missouri, in Kansas City. He’s also the author of numerous books and recently updated his book, “Super Imperialism: The economic strategy of American Empire.” Thank you for taking time to speak with me today, Michael.
Michael Hudson: Well, thanks for having me on Margaret.
MF: You’ve talked a lot and written a lot about dollar hegemony and what’s happening now with de-dollarization. Can you start out by explaining to my listeners what dollar hegemony is and how it has benefited the wealthy class in the United States?
MH: Dollar hegemony seems to be the position that has just ended as of this week very abruptly. Dollar hegemony was when America’s war in Vietnam and the military spending of the 1960s and 70s drove the United States off gold. The entire US balance of payments deficit was military spending, and it began to run down the gold supply. So, in 1971, President Nixon took the dollar off gold. Well, everybody thought America has been controlling the world economy since World War I by having most of the gold and by being the creditor to the world. And they thought what is going to happen now that the United States is running a deficit, instead of being a creditor.
Well, what happened was that, as I’ve described in Super Imperialism, when the United States went off gold, foreign central banks didn’t have anything to buy with their dollars that were flowing into their countries – again, mainly from the US military deficit but also from the investment takeovers. And they found that these dollars came in, the only thing they could do would be to recycle them to the United States. And what do central banks hold? They don’t buy property, usually, back then they didn’t. They buy Treasury bonds. And so, the United States would be spending dollars abroad and foreign central banks didn’t really have anything to do but send it right back to buy treasury bonds to finance not only the balance of payments deficit, but also the budget deficit that was largely military in character. So, dollar hegemony was the system where foreign central banks keep their monetary and international savings reserves in dollars and the dollars are used to finance the military bases around the world, almost eight hundred military bases surrounding them. So, basically central banks have to keep their savings by weaponizing them, by militarizing them, by lending them to the United States, to keep spending abroad.
This gave America a free ride. Imagine if you went to the grocery store and you just paid by giving them an IOU. And then the next week you want to buy more groceries and you give them another IOU. And they say, wait a minute, you have an IOU before and you say, well just use the IOU to pay the milk company that delivers, or the farmers that deliver. You can use this as your money and just you’ll as a customer, keep writing IOU’s and you never have to pay anything because your IOU is other people’s money. Well, that’s what dollar hegemony was, and it was a free ride. And it all ended last Wednesday when the United States grabbed Russia’s reserves having grabbed Afghanistan’s foreign reserves and Venezuela’s foreign reserves and those of other countries.
And all of a sudden, this means that other countries can no longer safely hold their reserves by sending their money back, depositing them in US banks or buying US Treasury Securities, or having other US investments because they could simply be grabbed as happened to Russia. So, all of a sudden this last week, you’re seeing the world economy fracture into two parts, a dollarized part and other countries that do not follow the neoliberal policies that the United States insists that its allies follow. We’re seeing the birth of a new dual World economy.
MF: Wow, there’s a lot to unpack there. So, are we seeing then other countries starting to disinvest in US dollars? You’ve written about how the treasury bonds that these central banks buy up have been basically funding our domestic economy. Are they starting to shed those bonds or what’s happening?
MH: No, they haven’t been funding our domestic economy because the Federal Reserve can create its own money to fund the domestic economy. We don’t need to borrow from foreign countries to fund our economy. We can print it ourselves. What the dollar hegemony does is fund the balance of payments deficit. It funds our spending in other economies, our spending abroad. It doesn’t help our economy, but it does help us get a free ride from other countries. The more dollars we spend in making a military base, all these military expenditures get turned over to the local Central Bank that turns and sends them back to the Federal Reserve or deposits them in US bank accounts. So, it’s the international free ride we get, not a domestic free ride.
MF: Okay. So are we seeing countries now, since this past week, starting to move their assets back to repatriate them because I know for Afghanistan, a big problem is that most of the government’s money was outside of the country and that has been used as a weapon against Afghanistan by seizing those assets and not allowing the Central Bank of Afghanistan to have them. Are we starting to see other countries repatriating their money and gold?
MH: Well, figures are only available at the end of each month, reported at the end of each month and then there’s a two-month delay, so we don’t have any idea what’s happening. But I’ve been talking to people all over the world in the last few days and the consensus is that everybody is now deciding the only place, certainly if you’re China or Russia or Kazakhstan or you’re in the Eurasian orbit, South Asia, East Asia, you realize, wait a minute, if all we have to do is something like Allende did in Chile or all we have to do is refuse to sell off our industry to American investors and they can treat us like they’ve treated Venezuela. So you can imagine that everybody’s watching this and there’s an expectation that as a result of the war in Ukraine, that’s really America’s NATO war, that this is going to create a balance-of-payments crisis throughout the whole Global South as their energy prices go up, oil prices soar, food prices are going to soar and this is going to make it impossible for them to pay their foreign debts unless they go without food and energy. Obviously, this is a political crisis. That is, the only result can be to split the world in two.
MF: You’ve been writing about this happening. You’ve written that the de-dollarization has been happening relatively quickly in recent years. So, are we now we’re now just seeing the end result of that? I mean, people said it could happen quickly. Is that exactly what we’re seeing right now?
MH: Yes, and nobody expected that it would happen this quickly. Nobody expected that it would be the United States itself that ends de-dollarization. People thought that, well, most of the sales of my book describing this super imperialism were bought by the Defense Department and they looked at it as a how -to-do-it book. And I was brought down to the White House and the Defense Department to explain to them how imperialism works.
I had expected that maybe China, Russia, and other countries would say, “We don’t want to give America free rides.” And yet it was the United States itself that broke all of this, by grabbing Russia’s reserves right after it grabbed Afghanistan’s and Venezuela’s reserves.
Nothing like this has happened in modern history, even in the 19th century wars. In the Crimean War in the mid-19th century, Russia, England and Germany, everybody kept paying the debts to the countries they were fighting against because the idea is that debts were sacrosanct. And now, all of a sudden, not only are debts are not sacrosanct, but countries can just grab foreign savings. I guess the problem began after the Shah of Iran fell and the United States grabbed Iran’s money and refused to let it pay its bond holders and started the whole war against Iran for trying to take control of its own oil resources. So, all of a sudden, the United States grabbing this has ended what everybody thought was an immutable morality.
MF: So that was in 1979 that the Shah fell in Iran and, and over the last number of decades, the United States has been increasingly using economic warfare against countries through what people call sanctions, but they’re actually, illegal unilateral coercive measures, has that been kind of driving and setting the stage for what is happening today?
MH: Yes, the International Monetary Fund has operated, basically, as an arm of the Defense Department. It’s been bailing out dictatorships, bailing out Ukraine, lending money to countries whose client oligarchies America wants to support, and not lending any money to countries that America doesn’t want to support, like Venezuela. So, its job is basically to promote neoliberal policies, and to insist that other countries balance their payments by undergoing a class war against labor.
The conditionality that the IMF insists upon for foreign borrowing is that countries devalue their currency and lower their wage rates and pass anti-labor legislation. Well, when you lower the currency’s exchange rate, what do you really lower? Food prices are set in dollars internationally, raw materials prices are, and prices for machinery and many goods. The only economic variable devalued is domestic labor (and domestic rents). The IMF has been using this kind of junk-economic free-trade policy as a means of keeping the wage rates in the Global South down. You could say it’s a financialization of an ultimately military conflict to promote neoliberal ideology.
MF: And you mentioned the lowering wages and things like that. And this is actually done because it’s favorable to US investors and US business, right? I mean, the World Bank actually has an index, the cost of doing business index, that helps inform large corporations about laws that countries pass that make them more favorable to businesses to come in.
MH: It’s even worse than that. The central aim of the World Bank is to prevent other countries from growing their own food. That is the prime directive. It will only make loans for countries to earn foreign currency and it has insisted ever since about 1950 that countries that borrow from it must shift their agriculture to plantation export crops to grow tropical crops that cannot be grown in the United States for environmental and weather reasons. And the countries must not grow their own food and must not undertake Land Reform or small family-based farming. So, it insisted on foreign-owned agribusiness in large plantation agriculture. And what that means is that countries that have borrowed for agricultural loans have not been loans to produce their own food. It’s been to compete with each other producing tropical export crops while being increasingly dependent on the United States for their food supplies, and for their grain. And that’s part of the corner they painted them into that is going to be creating such a world famine this summer.
MF: I definitely want to get into that as well as the energy situation and the climate crisis, but before we do that, I just want you to comment quickly on how this has also been driving countries to seek alternatives. The United States removed Russia from the SWIFT system, which is the international mechanism for doing trading and finance. It threatened China if they didn’t denounce what was happening with Russia and Ukraine to kick them out of the SWIFT system. So, this hubris of the United States is also kind of driving countries away to seek other alternatives, right?
MH: That’s the whole point. Well, fortunately they’ve been threatening to kick Russia out of SWIFT for the last two years. And so, Russia and China have been putting in place an alternative system. So, they almost pretty smoothly are shifting over to using their own currency with each other instead of using the dollar. And that’s part of what has ended the dollar standard and ended dollar hegemony.
If the way you have dollar hegemony is to have other countries deposit your money in your banks and handle their oil trade with each other by financing it in dollars, but all of a sudden you grab all their dollars and you don’t let them use US banks to pay for their oil and their trade with each other, then they’re going to shift to a different system. And that’s exactly what has ended the dollar hegemony, as you just pointed out.
MF: So, let’s get a little bit into where things are headed with this new situation, a rapidly changing situation. It may be hard to say what’s happening, but you talked about a food crisis this summer. Can you talk a little bit about more about that and does the conflict in Ukraine feed into that?
MH: Well, as President Putin and Lavrov have said, the fighting in Ukraine isn’t really over Ukraine at all. It’s a fight over what shape the world will take and whether the world will be unipolar or, as it now appears, multipolar. The US, for the last year before it began to escalate attacks on the Russian-speaking Ukraine, was trying to block Europe from, and especially Germany, from buying Russia gas and oil.
There are three pillars of American foreign policy that base American power. The first pillar is the oil industry. That’s the most powerful industry next to banking in the United States. And United States throughout the 20th century, along with Britain and France, have controlled the world oil trade.
That has benefited the United States in two ways. Number one, we are a major oil exporter because we have a big oil and gas industry. But, number two, our US companies control the foreign oil trade. So that if some country, say Chile or Venezuela, does something that the United States doesn’t like, like growing their own food or pursuing a socialist policy, the United States can simply cut off their oil and sanction them. Without oil, they don’t have energy to drive the cars or power their factories or drive their GDP.
So, the American war in Ukraine is really a war against Germany. Russia is not the enemy. Germany and Europe are the enemy and the United States made it very clear. This is a war to lock in our allies so they cannot trade with Russia. They cannot buy Russian oil. They must be dependent on American oil for which they will have to pay three or four times as much. They will have to be dependent on American liquefied natural gas for fertilizer. If they don’t buy American gas for fertilizer, and we don’t let them buy from Russia, then they cannot put fertilizer on the land and the crop yield will fall by about 50% without fertilizer.
So, the, the war in Ukraine was to make Russia look so bad by defending itself against the attacks by the Ukrainian right wing in the Russian-speaking areas that the US has said, look at how bad Russia is. You’ve got to forego buying oil and gas or grain or titanium or palladium or anything else from Russia.
And so, the effect of this war has been to lock the NATO countries into dependency on the United States because the great fear of the United States in the last few years is that as America is de-industrializing, these countries are looking to the part of the world that’s growing, China, Central Asia, Russia, South Asia. And the United States feared losing control of its satellites mainly in NATO, but also in South America. So, it sanctioned and blocked their ability to buy non-US energy. They’re blocking their ability to buy non-US food, blocking their ability to invest in or use their surplus to get prosperous by investing in China, Russia, or Eurasia.
So, this is basically a war of America to lock in its allies. Well, the result is that oil prices, now that you can’t get Russian oil, are going to go way, way up, and that is going to create a crisis for many of the Global South countries that are oil deficit countries. The fertilizer companies in Germany have already been closing down because they say, without Russian gas, we make our fertilizer out of gas, and if we can’t get Russian gas, we can’t produce the fertilizer that. So, world fertilizer prices are going way up.
Russia is the largest grain exporter. And now that grain exports are being blocked by the sanctions, the question is, what are North Africa and the Near East going to do that have been depending very largely on Russian grain exports? Their food prices are going to go way up.
You can imagine just from seeing what’s happening in the United States when gas prices go up here, food prices go up here, not only does it put a squeeze on individual family budgets, but throughout the world, it puts the squeeze on the balance of payments of other countries. And so, they’re desperate. How are they going to pay the higher prices unless they borrow even more money from US banks? And of course, that’s another arm of US policy. The US banks hope to make a killing in making loans at rising interest rates to third world countries.
And of course, arms exports. NATO in the last few days has agreed to make American arms exports to increase their purchase of arms. So, the stock market has been soaring in the last few days. They say this, the world famine, the world crisis is a bonanza for Wall Street. The oil company stocks are going way up, the military, industrial stocks, Boeing Raytheon way up, the bank stocks. This is America’s great power grab, and it realizes, when it can create a crisis and tell the Global South or poor countries your money or your life. This is how most of the great property grabs and conquests have been made throughout history.
MF: And just this week at the NATO meetings, President Biden basically said food prices are going to go up in the United States and Europe as a result of what’s happening. And that’s just the price we have to pay.
MH: Well, what he should have said, this is the price they have to pay us. That’s how the stock market took it. When he said this is the price we have to pay, this is the price consumers have to pay to the American oil companies, to the American Agricultural food distribution companies. It’s the price other countries have to pay to the United States.
This is to say to the rest of the world, you know, we’ve got you completely, I don’t know how to put it, what phrase to use, but you don’t have any choice, your money or your life. We’ve got you trapped. And he’s crowing over the fact that this resulting inflation is exactly what was intended by the war in Ukraine that has led to the isolation of Russia and other countries following a non-US policy.
MF: But more and more countries in Latin America, in Africa, are turning to countries like China for partnerships, for investment. Do you see a point coming where there is just this real shunning of the United States and turning to these alternatives?
MH: That is exactly what’s going to happen. What’s going to happen is, China’s investment is very different from US investment. US and European investment will give financial investments to countries at interest that the whole country is liable for to repay. China’s investment is taking place by means of the Belt and Road Initiative and direct capital investment in developing ports, infrastructure and railways. And instead of having a general financial claim against these countries, China has an equity claim, a property claim backed by the physical means of production that it puts in place.
Well, this summer, when countries say they cannot afford to pay their foreign debts, the United States has as a backup plan, okay, let’s write down everybody’s debts, government debts, to each other so that governments can pay the private bond holders and the banks. And they’re going to try to, essentially the US will forgive its debts so that Latin America can pay Chase Manhattan Bank and Citibank and the bondholders. And China is going to say, wait a minute, we don’t have any financial claim against these countries. We didn’t lend them dollars. We didn’t lend them our foreign currency at all. We built assets there and the assets are still in place. There’s no problem there.
So, the question is, whose debts are going to be written down to whom? And all of this is going to lead to, as you can imagine, destabilization. The United States is probably going to try to push regime change on countries that try to trade with China as it’s already threatened China with. And the more sanctions the United States imposes on Latin America, Africa and the Near East and South Asia, they will be creating a crisis, but the crisis will lead the rest of the world to treat the United States in the same way that Russia and China are treating the United States as just the enemy threatening the entire world with their neoliberal power grab. So, the United States in a way is isolating itself from the rest of the world by declaring war on it.
MF: And I think that’s not going to be good for us here at home in the United States. You’ve talked about the way that the current economy has been structured. You’ve also raised a lot of concern about the climate crisis. And of course, we have the recent IPCC report basically saying that we’re way behind in taking action to even adapt to the climate crisis or the warming that we’re going to be experiencing. So now in this new situation, how do you see that impacting the climate crisis?
MH: Here’s what Biden said, in effect: “We’re way behind in the pace of global warming.” American policy is based on increasing and accelerating global warming. That has been a central point of US policy ever since I joined the Hudson Institute in the 1970s. The United States is opposing any attempt at trying to prevent global warming because you can imagine what would happen if other countries go to solar energy and renewable energy. That will reduce their dependency on the US oil industry. If you look at American policy, it is being run basically by the oil industry to establish dependence of other countries on oil. Then obviously the last thing the United States is ever going to do is prevent global warming. So, if we’re behind in global warming, it’s that the sea level is not rising fast enough. The world is not getting hot fast enough not to lock in foreign reliance on America’s oil.
And I think you’ve seen what in the last few weeks, what President Biden has said, the fuel of the future is coal and oil. Right now, he’s in Poland. I think he’s suggesting that Polish coal, which is one of its major products, should be used in Europe instead of Russian gas. So, American foreign policy is based on the accelerated use of coal and oil, not renewable energy.
Now, that’s why I think the environmental movement should become an anti-war movement and the movement against this neoliberal dollar hegemony. You’re not going to avoid global warming unless you stop the dominance of American foreign policy by the oil industry.
MF: I think we’ve been seeing that shift over the last few years where the climate movement is starting to understand we can’t address this crisis without addressing the US military. So just in the last minutes that I have with you, what do you have to say to the listeners about where this is going for us materially as people living in the United States, a country that has been showing itself to be a failing state? The Covid-19 pandemic, I think, has really exposed that in so many ways, the financial insecurity that people are facing, housing, education, health care, all of the failures of the government to meet the basic needs of the people. How do you think that’s going to change with this new situation?
MH: Well, the United States has been getting a free ride internationally. So, much of the prosperity here has been the result of our not having to pay for our own military spending, not having to pay for many of the foreign investments that we’ve got that supply the US with low priced foreign raw materials. All that is being ended by President Biden’s policy, which, of course, the Republicans support just as much as the Democrats.
So, there’s really a political movement that is ending up impoverishing, I’d say, 99% of Americans. While the Federal Reserve saves the stock and bond market for the 1%, there’s going to be a huge squeeze that’s going to force, I think, most American families into debt leading to probably a close down of a lot of businesses just as you had the Covid crisis closing down a lot of businesses. You’re going to have the rising fuel prices, the rising food prices utterly force families into default and an inability to be self-supporting without either running into debt or selling their homes and becoming renters.
MF: And that’s a whole other problem with the buying up of the housing in the United States by these investment corporations so that they can then control those rent prices. It sounds like difficult days are ahead.
MH: Yes. Well, and nobody can really ,it’s really Uncharted Territory because nobody thought there was an alternative. The economic view was as Margaret Thatcher said, “There is no alternative.” Well, now, America’s forced the world to find its own alternative.
MF: Well, thank you for sharing that wisdom with me. I encourage people to continue to follow you and read your books and follow your writing. Where’s the best place to find you?
MH: I have a website: Michael-Hudson.com. And I’m on Patreon. I post my articles on the website and on Patreon.
MF: Well, thank you so much for taking time to speak with me today, and for the important work that you’re doing.
MH: Well, I’m awfully glad we had to talk about this, Margaret.

The ISS Space Station
A highly anticipated change of command ceremony between the United States and Russia has taken place on the International Space Station.
.
Despite mounting tensions between the two countries, NASA has repeatedly reaffirmed that it continues to work closely with Russian space agency Roscosmos.
.
Eyes have been on the ISS since war broke out in Ukraine but tensions on the earth did not reach into space.
.
Russian cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov in his handover address affirmed those on the space station were “one crew”.

“I think ISS is like (a) symbol of the friendship and cooperations and like symbol of future of exploration of space,” he said.
The Media Is The Number One Cause Of War Since 1898
In 1895, a 32-year old entrepreneur in New York City bought a failing newspaper and hatched a bold plan to turn it around.
The newspaper industry was cutthroat, especially in New York. There were at least 16 other daily newspapers in circulation, and there was fierce competition for readers’ attention.
But the young entrepreneur had an idea: thrill readers with tales of death, destruction, and brutality in the Cuban War for Independence against Spain.
Cuba was a Spanish colony at the time, but revolutionary forces had been fighting for independence for several years. Few people in the US really cared about Cuba. But the new publisher vowed to make them care.
His name was William Randolph Hearst. And his paper, the New York Morning Journal, constantly thrust Cuba in his readers’ faces.
Their stories were full-blown sensationalism. By early 1898, Hearst’s Journal was printing outright fabrications of atrocities committed by Spanish troops in Cuba, in an effort to whip up public support for the United States to join the war.
The government played along. While ‘war crimes’ did not yet exist, US President William McKinley escalated tensions by accusing Spain of atrocities, saying in a speech that “the civilized code of warfare has been disregarded.”
Then, on February 15, 1898, a US naval vessel known as the Maine exploded and sank in Havana Harbor off the coast of Cuba. 268 sailors died.
Several investigations were conducted, and to this day there is still nothing conclusive explaining how the explosion took place. It’s entirely possible that the explosion was caused by the Maine’s on-board fuel.
But Hearst (along with many other papers) jumped to publish stories claiming the Maine was sunk by a Spanish torpedo, and they continued agitating for the US to join the war.
Thanks to the effective media propaganda, most Americans were in favor of war. The newspapers had cast Spain as the evil aggressor, and its commanding general, Valeriano Weyler, was routinely called a “butcher”.
The newspapers told Americans that the fight against Spain was a necessary one… that it was a matter of moral righteousness— a crusade of good against evil.
They finally got their wish in April 1898 when the Spanish-American War broke out.
There are a lot of similarities with the media today.
The level of trust in the media is already laughably low. There was the obvious Hunter Biden laptop coverup, which most mainstream media refused to even mention during the US Presidential election in 2020.
Then there were the outright lies in the Russia collusion hoax, for which the New York Times was even awarded the ‘esteemed’ Pulitzer Prize.
(Coincidentally, the Pulitzer is named after Joseph Pulitzer, a newspaper publisher who also fabricated lies in the late 1800s and agitated for war against Spain.)
Then there’s the case of Biden appointee Tracy Stone-Manning, who was nominated last year to head up the federal government’s Bureau of Land Management.
Stone-Manning is a former eco-terrorist who participated in violent campaigns against forestry workers in her youth.
This isn’t some wild conspiracy theory; Stone-Manning has admitted to wrongdoing, including sending violent threats to the US federal Forestry Service. She ultimately avoided prosecution and saved herself by ratting out her associates.
But a recent Freedom of Information Act request revealed that NBC News colluded with the Biden Administration to go easy on Tracy Stone-Manning during her confirmation hearing, and whitewash over her terrorist history.
This is pretty incredible…
Think about the media circus a few years ago when US Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was accused of sexually assaulting someone when he was a teenager.
There was no promise from NBC News (and other mainstream propagandists) to go easy on the allegations against Justice Kavanaugh that went back 30+ years.
Instead, they smeared his name and deemed him guilty.
It’s also noteworthy that, during Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing, several protestors stormed the Capital and physically accosted United States Senators in order to prevent the Constitutional voting process from occurring.
Yet NBC News declined to label those protestors ‘domestic terrorists’, or to claim that democracy was ‘under attack’ because they had criminally trespassed into the Capitol.
This is the same media which acted as the government mouthpiece during COVID, justifying the public health dictatorship that took over the world.
This is the same media which watched cities burn in 2020 and said the protests were “mostly peaceful”.
And, yes, this is the same media that has routinely pushed America into war. It wasn’t just Spain in 1898.
The United States joined the Vietnam War based on a Gulf of Tonkin skirmish with the North Vietnamese which never actually occurred. But the Johnson administration and intelligence sources said it happened, so the media reported it as fact.
Then there were those supposed Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq, which the media dutifully reported without question and helped push the US into war back in 2003.
Today many in the media are calling for an escalation against Russia. They want a no-fly zone. They cheer the President’s dementia-ridden foreign policy and praise him for impromptu comments that only escalate tensions.
Most of all, they force feed the war in Ukraine, 24/7, as if that’s supposed to be our #1 priority.
Forget about the economy, rising prices, and supply chain dysfunction… and forget about conflict anywhere else in the world. We’re only allowed to care about Ukraine and Putin.
Historically speaking, it is not far-fetched to think the media could help push the world into a major war… and one with potential nuclear ramifications.
It’s not inevitable, but we are closer today than any other time since at least 1962— and certainly closer than even a week ago.
That’s why it is more important than ever to be prepared for whatever the world has in store for us.
And that means crafting a rock solid Plan B to make sure you can respond from a position of strength, whatever crisis comes next.
Washington’s top diplomat in Taipei attacks Beijing for “destabilizing” the region and threatening “all democracies”
The head of the de facto US embassy in Taiwan has accused China of “provocative” military moves near the island. Sandra Oudkirk claimed that Beijing has undermined regional peace while vowing to “strengthen” security ties with Taipei.
Oudkirk – who directs the American Institute in Taiwan, the unofficial US embassy – castigated Beijing during a speech at the local American Chamber of Commerce, on Wednesday, singling out its policies toward Taipei.
“The [People’s Republic of China’s] increasingly aggressive behavior is nowhere more evident than in relation to Taiwan, where the PRC has continued to exert military, diplomatic, and economic pressure,” she said, adding that “provocative military activities” near Taiwan are “destabilizing, risk miscalculation, and undermine regional peace and stability.”
Continued efforts by Beijing to choke Taiwan’s international space, pressure its friends, and interfere in Taiwan’s democratic system represent a threat to all democracies.
With Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen in attendance at the event, Oudkirk went on to voice “deep concerns” over “China’s alignment with Russia” following Moscow’s attack on Ukraine, appearing to draw parallels between the conflict in Eastern Europe and tensions between Taiwan and the mainland.
“China is already on the wrong side of history when it comes to Ukraine and the aggression being committed by Russia,” she said, echoing previous comments from Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
Though US officials have pressured Beijing to sever its ties with Russia and join a punitive sanctions campaign, China has so far refused to budge, maintaining a neutral stance toward the conflict while urging for diplomacy and an end to the fighting.
Oudkirk said Washington would continue to “strengthen Taiwan’s role as a regional security partner” – part of the Joe Biden administration’s increased outreach to the island. Late last year, the president declared that the US is “committed” to defending Taiwan from any potential Chinese attack, in what appeared to be a break with a long-standing policy of ‘strategic ambiguity.’ White House officials soon walked back his comments, however.
The United States has also approved a number of arms sales to Taiwan in recent months, and continues to sail warships through the contested Taiwan Strait on a near-monthly basis despite repeated warnings from Beijing to stay out of its “internal affairs.” China considers Taiwan to be its sovereign territory, though the island has long been self-governed and refers to itself as the Republic of China.
Founded as a non-profit corporation, the American Institute in Taiwan now serves as the informal US embassy and has received most of its funding from the State Department since the United States ended diplomatic recognition of Taipei with the Taiwan Relations Act of 1979. Currently, only a handful of nations recognize Taiwan as a sovereign country, among them Guatemala, Honduras, Haiti and the Vatican City.

TRAPPED!!! AMERICAN AND UK MILITARY “ADVISORS”, PLUS FRANCE INTEL OPERATIVES WITH AZOV NAZIS IN MARIUPOL – NOW TRAPPED BY RUSSIAN FORCES
At present, whatever remains of Ukrainian Army AZOV Regiment (the Actual NAZI Regiment) is holed-up inside the vast Azovstal Industrial Area in Mariupol, Ukraine. The group totaling 20 — of US andUK military advisors as well as several Ukrainian SBU (secret police) advisors—is holed up, together with Azov fighters.
Despite being offered several prior chances to evacuate Mariupol, they chose to stay. Now, they are too late to evacuate as Russian forces pummel that area to De-Nazify it.
Overnight, Ukraine sent two military helicopters to Mariupol to try to rescue the trapped US, UK, and Ukrainian Secret Police persons. Both those helicopters landed without incident, but when they took off, both were SHOT DOWN.
One of those helicopters had 17 aboard, 15 of whom died when the chopper was hit and crashed into the earth. The two survivors have been taken prisoner by Russian forces.
The second helicopter was hit several kilometers off the coast of Mariupol, and fell into the Sea of Azov. Rescue craft were sent, but no word yet on finding anything or anyone in the water.
One of the Mi-8 helicopters was shot down by . . . . . . . An American STINGER anti-aircraft, man-launched missile, supplied to Ukraine by the United States and later captured from the Ukrainian forces by Russian forces.
MORE!
From the helicopter that crashed into the earth, COVERT INTEL SOURCES now tell me, the bodies of two French Intelligence operatives, allegedly with DGSE credentials, were also said to have been recovered.
If true, this would explain French President Macron’s desperate attempts to have a French-led evacuation out of Mariupol last week! Macron’s requests to Putin were declined. If French Intelligence Agents were embedded with AZOV NAZI troops, then this is a massive PR problem for both France and for NATO.
HAL TURNER EDITORIAL OPINION
At some point, the presence of foreign military “Advisors” and foreign Intelligence “operatives” is going to transform this from a Ukraine-Russia conflict, to a NATO-Russia conflict. Once that threshold is officially crossed (and it is solely up to Russia to decide) then war is upon us all.
A bunch of US and British military men being present right on the front line would confirm not only how intricately involved with Azov the NATO countries are, but the fact that Ukraine is a US puppet state being used to wage a proxy war on Russia.

Spray 9 X 13 inch pans with Pam. Take cabbage leaves and fill with 1/4 to 1/2 cup meat mixture (depending on how big hour leaves are). Place with seam side down in pans — Turn oven on 350 degrees. Make up sauce (depending on how many rolls you get from your cabbage and how much sauce you want, you can use between 4 to 6 cans of diced or stewed tomatoes for your sauce), if you like cabbage rolls to have more sauce, you can add a little tomato juice to your sauce. Pour sauce over top of rolls. Sprinkle with kosher salt over top of rolls.
Bake uncovered to 2 1/2 hours or until browned on top, you may need to add a tomato juice to them once in a while so they do not dry out –.
Freezes well.

China warns of ‘worst consequences’ over Taiwan
Beijing says nothing will stand in the way of “national reunification” with Taipei
China has warned that no foreign powers or militaries will succeed in interfering with Taiwan, cautioning that any country attempting to offer military support to Taipei will face “consequences.”
“The Taiwan question is a purely internal affair of China,” Defense Ministry spokesman Senior Colonel Tan Kefei told reporters on Friday.
“No one and no force can stop” Beijing from a “complete national reunification” with Taiwan, Tan said, adding that anyone who tries to do so, “will suffer the worst consequences in the end.”
Tan said the Chinese military stood ready to thwart any outside interference on the matter. His statement came days after Australia’s defense minister, Peter Dutton, argued that it would be “inconceivable” for Canberra not to join with the US should Washington decide to defend Taiwan.
Kiev claims NATO will defend arms convoys to Ukraine against Russia
Dutton later softened his language, saying on Sunday that the Australian response would be based on “our country’s best interests.”
Last month, Australia accused a Chinese warship of pointing a laser at one of its surveillance planes. Beijing said the allegation was “false.”
While the government in Beijing insists Taiwan is part of China’s territory, the US has typically taken a non-committal position, unofficially supporting Taiwanese independence and supplying weapons to Taipei, while at the same time acknowledging China’s claim to the island.
Here’s the official U.S. narrative as echoed by the mainstream media: Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was unprovoked, Putin’s three-day blitzkrieg of Kyiv has failed, Russian forces are bogged down and valiant Ukrainian troops are putting up a powerful defense and regaining lost ground with the help of weapons from NATO.
In this version, President Zelenskyy is the new Churchill rallying patriots against an evil dictator. All of that is either entirely or mostly false.
Here’s the real story: Russia’s invasion is the end result of 14 years of provocation by the West, including repeated declarations that Ukraine will join NATO and a U.S.-backed coup d’état in 2014 that displaced a pro-Russian president.
Russia never planned a blitzkrieg on Kyiv. That’s a Western invention intended to make Putin look like a failure. In fact, Russia is slowly and methodically taking territory in the south and east of Ukraine in order to control the seacoasts, eliminate pro-fascist elements in Mariupol and establish pro-Russian autonomous zones in Donbas.
1/ Big Arrow War—a primer. For all those scratching their heads in confusion, or dusting off their dress uniforms for the Ukrainian victory parade in Kiev, over the news about Russia’s “strategic shift”, you might want to re-familiarize yourself with basic military concepts.2/ Maneuver warfare is a good place to start. Understand Russia started its “special military operation” with a severe manpower deficit—200,000 attackers to some 600,000 defenders (or more). Classic attritional conflict was never an option. Russian victory required maneuver.
3/ Maneuver war is more psychological than physical and focuses more on the operational than on the tactical level. Maneuver is relational movement—how you deploy and move your forces in relation to your opponent. Russian maneuver in the first phase of its operation support this.4/ The Russians needed to shape the battlefield to their advantage. In order to do this, they needed to control how Ukraine employed it’s numerically superior forces, while distributing their own smaller combat power to best accomplish this objective.5/ Land Bridge. Strategically, to facilitate the ability to maneuver between the southern, central, and northern fronts, Russia needed to secure a land bridge between Crimea and Russia. The seizure of the coastal city of Mariupol was critical to this effort. Russia has accomplished this task.6/ Control. While this complex operation unfolded, Russia needed to keep Ukraine from maneuvering its numerically superior forces in a manner that disrupted the Mariupol operation. This entailed the use of several strategic supporting operations—feints, fixing operations, and deep attack.7/ Feint warfare. The concept of a feint is simple—a military force either is seen as preparing to attack a given location, or actually conducts an attack, for the purpose of deceiving an opponent into committing resources in response to the perceived or actual actions.8/ Example of use. The use of the feint played a major role in Desert Storm, where Marine Amphibious forces threatened the Kuwaiti coast, forcing Iraq to defend against an attack that never came, and where the 1st Cavalry Division actually attacked Wadi Al Batin to pin down the Republican Guard.9/ Ukraine use of a feint. The Russians made extensive use of the feint in Ukraine, with Amphibious forces off Odessa freezing Ukrainian forces there, and a major feint attack toward Kiev compelling Ukraine to reinforce their forces there. Ukraine was never able to reinforce their forces in the east.10/ Fixing operations were also critical. Ukraine had assembled some 60,000-100,000 troops in the east, opposite Donbas. Russia carried out a broad fixing attack designed to keep these forces fully engaged and unable to maneuver in respect to other Russian operations.11/ History. During Desert Storm, two Marine Divisions were ordered to carry out similar fixing attacks against Iraqi forces deployed along the Kuwaiti-Saudi border, tying down significant numbers of men and material that could not be used to counter the main US attack out west.12/ Pinned Down. The Russian fixing attack pinned the main Ukrainian concentration of forces in the east, and drove them away from Mariupol, which was invested and reduced. Supporting operations out of Crimea against Kherson expanded the Russian land bridge. This phase is now complete.13/ Strategic Deep Attacks. Russia also engaged in a campaign of strategic deep attack designed to disrupt and destroy Ukrainian logistics, command & control, and air power and long-range fire support. Ukraine is running out of fuel and ammo, cannot coordinate maneuver, and has no meaningful Air Force.14/ Redeployments. Russia is redeploying some of its premier units from where they had been engaged in feint operations in northern Kiev to where they can support the next phase of the operation, namely the liberation of the Donbas and the destruction of the main Ukrainian force in the east.15/ This is classic maneuver warfare. Russia will now hold Ukraine in the north and south while its main forces, reinforced by the northern units, Marines, and forces freed up by the capture of Mariupol, seek to envelope and destroy 60,000 Ukrainian forces in the east.16/ This is Big Arrow War at its finest, something Americans used to know but forgot in the deserts and mountains of Afghanistan and Iraq. It also explains how 200,000 Russians have been able to defeat 600,000 Ukrainians. Thus ends the primer on maneuver warfare, Russian style.
Rufus Kind action
When the time comes, what are you going to do? Be a spectator, or take action. Your actions determine your sentience. Service-to-yourself, or service-for-others. And please don’t be a NPC service-to-another. Your actions, in this life, are a reflection of who you are. It’s binary. White or black. There is no gray area. video 3MB
Chinese community in action
This would never happen in the United States. In the USA, most people whould be inside their cars watching on as spectators. Maybe taking videos. With some slamming on their horns making noises. video 3MB
Rufus Immediate action
You don’t know when there will be a calling, but it will happen. Are your ready for it? Or will you pretend that nothing is going on? Will you sit by passively and allow others to become service-to-others sentience, while you are firmly and affixed as a service-to-self selfish, alone, greedy and “independent” asshole? video 9MB
How a Rufus Community Operates
Everyone in the community works together as one organism. If they “feel” something is wrong, they talk to others, they investigate, and they get help. In this case, we have gas station attendents, bus drivers, and construction workers working with the polcie to prevent a child abduction. video 14MB
Rufus reminder
When the world is treating others unkindly, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to reset things. Do not wait for others to take action. Do not wait for the police, fire or medical care to come. Do not wait for others, or watch while doing nothing. You were not born to be a spectator. You were born to be a participant. So act the part. God damn it! video 13MB

The following are some videos about people; humanity and being a Rufus. Some are sad, some are painful, some are good, and some are happy. Be the Rufus. Otherwise, why live?

What do I mean by being a Rufus?
The term “Rufus” is well known to long time visitors to MM. It describes service-to-others (STO) sentience and the related behaviors rather than the service-for-self (STS) sentience behaviors of the vast bulk of humanity. The details on sentience selection and why it is important are sprinkled throughout the Majestic Index.
Rufus is a state of behavior. A Rufus puts the community before him / her self. They do things without a profit motive of any type. They are kind, helpful and when they walk down the street they smile at people and make them feel good.
In some ways, being a Rufus lends itself to heroic actions, but in other ways it refers to being a significant person located in a geographic region.
While the rest of the world scrambles and claws towards money and power, and leaves a destitute and stripped world behind, a Rufus nurtures the world. He / she uses their creative abilities to make the world a better place.
You can go to my RUFUS INDEX. Start at the top and start reading all the posts. If after article 75, you still have questions, I will try to explain it to you better.
Long time readers recognize being a Rufus is showing kindness to others, being a hero when necessary, participating in the community and working to make OUR world a better place to live in. Chinese members of MM will recognize it as the expectations of volunteerism required of the Chinese Communist party, but that is just a name. It’s all people working together towards a common goal. His video summarizes it up nicely. Be the Rufus. video. 27MB

The role of government should be to support and protect it’s citizenry. Not pit one group against the other. And it shouldn’t allow people to go without food, work, purpose and shelter. Suicide Awareness – Trigger warning.
I’ve thought long and hard about posting about this, debating on how it would be perceived by the market, however, I decided to just speak from the heart. I do a lot for women in this market and now I also want to do a lot for men, men who account for over 75% of suicides.
Yesterday my friend Rob would have turned 36, for those who didn’t know him he was possibly the best broker the freight market had ever seen. He was referred to as 'an extraordinary talent, a maverick, an occasional handful but a lovely person with a genuine heart’.
At a young age Robert Byrne was made Director at one of the worlds leading broking shops, his billings were highly impressive, he was an incredible talent and a very good friend. He had the world at his feet.
I didn’t particularly like Rob when we first met, I found him rather arrogant, however, that was the thing with Rob, he was an extrovert who always spoke his truth and in reflection what I loved about him the most. He was who he was, and he didn’t shy way or change for anybody. Like marmite, you either loved him or hated him, love or hate him everyone agreed to one thing he was an incredible gifted young man. Rob was eternally fun, there was never a dull moment. We used to love karaoke sessions and as he used to phrase it cause ‘scenes’.
That’s why it makes it all so much harder that in April 2020 he decided to take his own life. He called me two hours before it did it. I guess this was his goodbye call, I am eternally grateful that I answered the phone, but I just wish he said, “I’m not ok, please help”.
Rob did have and could of had lived the most incredible life if he got his mind right. I can’t express the loss and waste that left so many deeply shocked and saddened.
I will never get my friend back; I will never have him wind me or call me for karaoke sessions. When I went through tough times Rob brought my spark back and showed me how fun life could be again. I do anything now to return the favor.
I hate the way men are raised to be tough, to man up and not encouraged to speak up when they are suffering. Suffering with depression, addiction, and a troubled mind.
I know most people reading this will be men and will probably not want to comment because of this awful stigma that surrounds mental health. But if you are reading this and you are not ok, you have addictions or demons that you are hiding away then please seek help. Please tell someone before its too late. Its ok not to be ok. You are loved and your life is worth living.
If you need help, please reach out. Here are some links below for help.

One of the things that I loved to do as a boy was to go through the history books in the stacks at the High School library. In particular, they had these illustrated books that went decades by decade and helps pictures and stories about what it was like to live there at that time. There was a book on the 1920’s. There was another on the 1950’s and so on and so forth. Of course there were many history books that I just loved, but these were special because of the great pictures and easy reading captions. This article is of a similar nature using movies from the past. I do hope that you all will enjoy it.

It’s a nice “rainy day” article. I hope that these videos remind you of how unique this time is, and how wonderful it is to enjoy it. Stop thinking that one of these days… something will happen. Treat yourself to a nice cup of coffee and a pie at the local diner. Ride a bicycle.
Make your time special.
It will be gone soon enough. But you are here now. This is YOUR time. Enjoy it and share that enjoyment with others it’s ok. Just do it.

More videos of personal heroism in China. This is the September 2021 edition. These videos all take place in China, with a few notable exceptions, and show examples of how average, normal, everyday people (or dogs and cats) can make a difference. When the calling strikes and an emergency occurs, will you be the one who turns their back, or will you run and offer help? Will you be the one who stays playing on the cell-phone, or will you lend a helping hand? Will you be the person who will make a difference in the lives of those around you, or are you just going to fade into the background.
Make a difference. Be like Rufus!

There’s a young girl flailing in the icy water. What are you going to do. I mean you’re in your 80’s after all. Well, you shed you clothes and your rescue her. That’s what you do. Be the Rufus! VIDEO.
Video – Public Servants
This is how the police behave when you have a society of Rufus’s. Everyone works to make the place a better one. We all need to do our part. We all need to participate. We all need to be helpful, kind and understanding. Be the Rufus. VIDEO.
Video – Saving a dog tied to the tracks
I do not know why this dog was tied to the train tracks. Maybe an accident, maybe on purpose by a busy owner. Maybe by some evil assholes. Whatever the reason, this guy goes forth to rescue it.
Good deeds, consideration towards others, rescues, and being helpful. All are traits of a Rufus. Here is a compilation of just a few of the many Rufus activities that occur every day but that are never reported. Be the Rufus. It’s our highest calling. VIDEO.
Video – Child goes over the side
Again, it’s a cold winter day. The child falls one story into the cold water below. What are you to do? Are you going to wait and call the police, or are you going to do something. A real Rufus takes action! Be that Rufus! VIDEO.
Video – Infant rescue to the hospital
Your baby is in distress. No time to get a taxi. No time to stop and think. So what do you do? You go to the traffic policeman and enlist his help. Be the Rufus! VIDEO.
Video – American Rufus’s in Jacksonville, Florida
It’s scenes like this that give me so much hope for America. Look at how everyone comes to help this poor guy. It doesn’t matter. Old or young, tall or short, big and fat or frail and skinny, Black or White. Everyone comes to help. Rufus. You are either one or you are not. VIDEO
Thank you for reading this.
God bless.
Conclusion
We do not know when the calling will come.
However, when it calls, you must take action. It will not make you wealthy, rich, famous, or attractive. But, it will make a difference when you are judged upon death. Be the Rufus. Make a difference. Help others. It’s our highest calling.
Do you want more?

Here’s a mixtures of videos describing Rufus behaviors.
Are you being the best that you can be? Are you making the world around you a much better place? In a world of hate and strife, betrayal and trickery, the world needs people who will stand up and stand for something. Will you be that person? The world is filled with people who have been hurt by a corrupted society that uses, and discards others. These people need people like you.
Whether it is the use and discard nature of corporate America. Or the use and discard nature of American relationships. Or the use and discard nature of American culture. Or the use and discard nature of American finance…
… it NEEDS to change.
And if you are not living in America, but instead in a “Western nation”; a nation that has adopted this love for profits at all costs; like the UK, or Canada, or now Australia… then it is up to YOU to change things.
Stop waiting around for someone else to do something.
You step up (to the plate) and take a swing at life. Do you have room to adopt a neglect animal at the shelter; the one that no one will select? Will you go and buy a cup of coffee to the coworker? Will you go and say something nice to the girl that you hold the door open for? Will you “pay it forward” at the next toll-booth?
Will you do something good?
The Videos
The following are some videos about people; humanity and being a Rufus. Some are sad, some are painful, some are good, and some are happy. Be the Rufus. Otherwise, why live?
Be the Rufus. Be family. Be the community that cares for it’s members.
I strongly suggest you watch the videos in the order presented to get the proper "effect" that I am trying to provide.
What are you doing to make the world a little bit better place?
It doesn’t take much, sometimes. But other times, like with a meat pie lady, you have to break a few rules to show your humanity. You must be more than just friendly. You must go out of your way to do the uncomfortable. Sometimes it ‘s a real hassle… just to smile. But do it anyways.
Don’t judge the measure of your worth is by the size of your bank accounts.
Do not measure your value by your career, or who employs you.
You are far better than that.
I am telling you differently. We must seek out others. We must make friends with them, and form associations, build friendships and relationships and share. Never, ever forget the rule of three. Be the Rufus!

Here’s a mixtures of videos describing Rufus behaviors. This group was inspired by a Pakistani woman who explained why China is the sole nation surviving the Coronavirus bio-weapon attack. As she explained it, and I really concur, is that when the Chinese government told everyone to stay inside and wear masks that everyone did. But it was more than that. They didn’t do it for themselves. They did it for others.
They did it for the old lay down the street. They did it for the health workers who volunteered. They did it for the elementary school filled with children. And if you go through those videos taken during 2020 you can clearly see the signs that everyone was holding up on their porches and windows. That they believed in China, and that they are all part of something larger.
This is what a nation full of service-to-others people can do.
But in Service-for-self nations, it’s every man for himself. It’s “I can do my own thing”, and “if I have to lie, cheat, or pretend to have to wear a mask, it’s my right”.
The future belongs to those who are contribute to the greater good; to Rufus’s who are part of a community. To those Rufus’s who can contribute what little they have, and make the difference. If everyone just picked up some trash at the side of the road then wouldn’t the roads be cleaner? If everyone spent more time on their porches and invited other to play card with them there, wouldn’t there be a sense of community? If everyone did little things like smile and say a cheery word, don’t you think that the world would be a better place?
Here’s about twenty or so videos. About half of them show the local community running to help a person in distress. Like antibodies fighting a cancer; fighting a virus, the Rufus goes and does what ever is necessary. Be that Rufus. Be the Rufus!
The videos
Each video opens up in it’s own tab. I hope that you enjoy them.
It’s a well known prepper axiom that you can have a ton load of guns and an unlimited supply of bullets, but unless you are a part of a community, you will be overwhelmed and killed. The “lone wolf” never survives in a conflict or an emergency situation. During times of strife, and emergency, we all need each other. One person’s strength can compensate for our individual weaknesses.
Somehow this basic, most fundamental aspect of humanity has been bleached out of the Western culture. Instead, it has been replaced with the idea that we are so much better being alone, cowering in fear inside our nice comfortable homes, and communicating by monitored electronic media. Uh huh.
And that our measure of worth is by the size of our bank accounts.
Well, I am going to tell you different. We must seek out others. We must make friends with them, and form associations, build friendships and relationships and share. Never, ever forget the rule of three. Be the Rufus!

Here’s a mixtures of videos describing Rufus behaviors. They all occur on a public bus inside of China. There’s a few actual videos, and a number of dramatized videos. In almost every incidence, the dramatized event actually happened.
While it might be confusing for those who cannot read or understand Chinese, the videos themselves are easy enough to understand. They are presented here to show everyone to remember our humanity.
We are all part of something.
Never forget that. We are not isolated and alone.
We are part of something.
We belong. Be the Rufus that keeps the world happy, safe, and good.
Helping a young blind girl learn how to use a cane…
This is an actual video taken on a bus. The mother is helping the daughter learn how to use a walking-cane to navigate using the public bus transport system.
Mind your own business. Don’t get involved.
For the last fifty years of so there has been an assault in the West (and especially in America) of not to get involved. If you see someone being rude, you ignore it. If you see someone taking mistreatment, you look the other way.
In a real community, we treat others as family.
If you are an older man or woman, just saying “Why do you take this shit?” is often just enough to make the much needed point. As in this dramatization of an actual event that happened.
.
Another dramatization that actually happened.
What happens when you lose your life (as in a fireman) to help others, and your spouse is heavy with an unborn child? What happens when others, not knowing your story, treat your family rudely and crudely?
We are all part of one great society and we all need to support each other. We need to stand up for each other, and support the weak. And we should have no tolerance for the rude and crude.
Here’s another true story in dramatized form.
.
Be the Light for others to look up towards
This one is not a dramatization. It’s the real deal. A young “boy scout” is playing on the bus when a soldier boards the bus. And there is an exchange of respect and saluting. But notice what the soldier does afterwards with the young boy…
There is no excuse for being rude.
Age is not an excuse. Nor is color, race, wealth, or knowledge. We must start to accept that everyone has a story, a background and a life. And we are not the only ones with issue sand problems. This is a dramatization, but based on a true event.
Here’s what sometimes happens to a Rufus…
It can be an uncaring world out there. This is a dramatization of an actual event. A Rufus saves a little girl and then is abused by his boss, old people on the bus, and parents. Do not expect to get awards, or metals for being a Rufus. It can be very unrewarding.
Rufus event in the small town
A mother with her infant are driving down the road and she loses control. Luckily there are Rufus’s all around. Watch what happens. What would you do, if you were there?
Rufus saves girl from maniac arsonist
This video happens so quickly. The fire department are called in to put out a blaze in a house. They find a man who set fire to the house, beat up some elderly people, and is now holding a little girl hostage. Seconds count. Only a Rufus can save the day…
Show some humanity
And why not. True or false, this next video is a great example of how we all must work to make the world a better place. Titles, wealth and position is society are meaningless unless we contribute helping others. Be the Rufus.
And on the light side…
Ah. Kitties. I love them.
I hope that all of you are having a fine day today. Thank you for reading this. -MM

More videos of personal heroism in China. This is the late Summer 2021 edition.
Here are some more videos of personal heroism. These videos all take place in China, and show examples of how average, normal, everyday people (or dogs and cats) can make a difference.

Man with disabilities gives all his money to help those from the flood
Sometimes people go way over and beyond their abilities. This man with disabilities was so upset about the deaths from the flooding during July 2021, that he took all of his money, all of his savings and bought food and sent it off to the victims to help them. A Rufus in every way…
Rescue
During the massive sudden flood in China in July 2021, everyone was caught off guard. Many people were swept away by the raging water, caught underground, in subways, and in basements, and inside of cars. Those that weren’t were out in full force helping others. When you are part of a community, you become a natural Rufus.
Singing in thanks
Sometimes you just cannot help others. But you should show your gratitude. Here we have a school singing after China has controlled the Coronavirus. This was repeated all over China. The Chinese are the most patriotic people on the planet.
Disrespectful behavior
In Chinese society, you either participate to make it better, or you are an outsider, worthy of scorn. Here we have a chap that is acting very bad. He’s pinching the bottom of a girl minding her own business. So she slaps him, and reports him, and guess what? He’s doing time.
There is no place for rudeness
Here is a rude driver that arrogantly splashes a puddle on a police officer. This kind of behavior is tolerated in America, as well as other anti-social behaviors. Not so in China. Anti-social behavior comes at a cost, and it does affect social credit scoring. If you are an ass-hole your position in society plummets.
Not so in America, where all the ass-holes thrive. They screech! Freedom!
Quick save on the escalator
You are just minding your own business and you hear some gasps and yells behind you. You look up and there is this hearing impaired grandmother standing on the steps while an enormous heavy piece of luggage tumbles straight for her. What are you going to do?
Construction crew rescues boy
The high-rise is on fire. A young boy is trapped inside. What to do? How to rescue him? Luckily, next door is a construction crew full of Rufus’s and they are going to help rescue him. You need not worry when there are Rufus’s around.
Even in the darkest American distraught cities, Rufus’s come to help
Here we have a young child and a worried mother trapped on a building. What to do? Well, as long as there is one Rufus around everyone will come to help. And look at them. They come from every corner of the street, and from every building. Rufus’s are everywhere.
A Rufus acts instinctively
You see someone in danger and you spring into action. You don’t sit there wondering what to do. A Rufus acts. No time for selfies. No time to finish your burger. No time to see what your friends think. You Act.
Baby in crisis!
When seconds count, who can you rely on? The police? The fire? the old lady down the street? Nope, you only have you and it is YOUR time to shine. Be the Rufus anything else is a waste.
The BRI in Africa
China is offering all sorts of free building projects to improve the lifestyles of the people that trade with it. As a result there are tons of good will, and open markets for trade and a growth in the middle class. Here is Nairobi. They have better rail than Americans do.
After a flood…
You are looking for survivors and see this! What are you going to do? Take a selfie, or run to see if he’s still alive? Lucky for him, this was a Rufus, not a self-absorbed psychopath.
Emergency!
Out of nowhere a flood engulfs your town. Cars, trucks float ways, bridges collapse, and everyone is helpless. You managed to get to safety, but you see someone flailing in the water…they are being carried far away. What will you do? Say safe, or be the Rufus?
There’s a reason…
Yes. There’s a reason why China has been enforcing noise and air pollution regulations, and the offenders are not treated lightly. The environment is everyone’s concern and everyone must contribute to make the world a good and just place to live. And if you aren’t with the program, well…
Rufus level innovation
All over China we have facial scanning being employed. No longer will you need to press those dirty buttons, and go through invasive pat downs. Things are getting to the point that in China everything is fast, quick and seamless. From digital money, to key locks on doors. It’s all non-contact.
Boy prevents abduction
Some guy, looks drunk, but can be a dangerous predator approaches two kids and tries to carry one away. But the young Rufus will have none of this, and attacks the man. A real Rufus! His parents should be so proud!
Society that cares
it used to be that the Chinese didn’t care about anything. Just themselves. But this has changed once the government proved time and time again, that they are working for the best interests of society. And it affects everyone and everything all across the board. Even the tiniest details are taken cared for. This is how a functional society works.
A car flies off the highway
So you are driving down the road and you don’t even see the car have the accident. But you see that the car is damaged, crashed, and that there are people inside screaming for help. What are you going to do?
Appreciation
You see this all the time. The Chinese are oh, so patriotic. They want to contribute and to help. When the government sends people into THEIR communities, they give back generously. It’s just the way people act when they have a government that represents their interests.
Di Di driver says NO!
In China, the equivalent drive share APP to Uber is Didi. Here we have a DiDi driver kicking the passenger out of his car because the guy was rude and horrible. Good going Rufus!
Rufus times two
All of us working together can make this world a place worth living. This idea of being alone; the lone wolf is a terrible mistake. In Military Strategy it is desirable for the enemy to do this, because it is easy to exploit. But not so in a healthy, functioning society. You work together. you donate your time. You help others. You be the Rufus.
Just an average person
A Rufus is just an average person, like you and like me. We don’t want fame, payments or accolades. We just want to live our lives, be happy and have friends that we can share our time with. That’s all. But every now and then something goes wrong, and a real Rufus has to take action. Like this lass here…
Kindness is within reach
All over Asia, and most especially among the Chinese-friendly nations, there is a strong impetus to start caring for each other, your community, your society and your environment. And to this end there are commercials being promoted. This is one of them. You won’t see anything like this in America, the UK, or Australia. But you will in the rest of the world. It is all changing.
An argument
We don’t know what goes on in the lives and minds of others. What we do know is that when you hear someone crying in distress, a real Rufus springs into action. They do not care about the consequences. They take action!
A talented rescue
Wow. Obviously this fellow had some sort of training. Superman or Rufus? You judge. Whatever he is, he is wonderful and he saved a life in the process. We should all strive to be the best that we can be. And in the process the Rufus inside all of us shines through.
Showing appreciation
Not only are the Chinese hyper-patriotic, but they 100% support their government, their police and their firemen. This is the welcome that the firefighters received in the flood damaged areas of China in 2021.
A young Rufus
A man is having trouble paying for his bus fare. Lucky for him there is a young Rufus nearby that wants to help. We all need each other. It helps keep the stress of day to day unexpected problems down, and generates good feelings all around. Be that Rufus. Young man, I salute you!
Emergency!
You are giving a girl a ride in your DiDi and suddenly she starts going into trouble. What do you do? Well, you must be calm and be the Rufus, and you call the police and drive her to the hospital. You don’t stop. you don’t think. You don’t do anything else. You be the Rufus.
Coronavirus staff
So many people are volunteering in China to help others. All those people assisting with the inoculations are all volunteers. They are not paid for what they are doing. They are giving and contributing in their society.
Here’s a group of hot and thirsty volunteers. They all wanted to get some energy drinks. But the woman running the register is a Rufus. She would never allow them to pay. So she paid for their drinks herself. She says that it’s the least that she can do.
A Rufus adapts
An ambulance carrying an accident victim overturns in a second automobile accident. She needs immediate care. What are you going to do? Lucky there is a Rufus nearby who owns a flat-bed truck and he helps the entire crew make it to the hospital. Be the Rufus!
Soldier rescues a downing person
You don’t know when the call will strike. You cannot prepare for it. You cannot plan for it. You cannot forecast it. All you can do is be the best you can be and when you are needed you simply go forth and help in whatever way that you can. We all need others in our lives. Be that Rufus.
Electric trike turned over
A man and his electric trike scooter goes belly up right in front of you. What are you going to do? Honk your horn like a rude American, or get the heck out of your seat and go and help him? Well I can tell you that it is the Rufus’s in this world that make it worth living.
Helping the animals
We should always help the animals around us. We must help them, and guide them. Often they can get hurt and highways are terrible on animals. From cats and dogs to horses, pigs and birds, we must help when we can. Like this fine Rufus here.
Electric wheelchair stalled in the street
So here is a crippled man on his electric wheelchair stalled in the middle of the street in the middle of a storm. Aren’t you glad that you are not him? Or not. Maybe you are a Rufus, and you leave your dry spot and help the poor guy out. Be the Rufus. Only a Rufus is worthy.
The tunnels are flooded!
During the flood of July 2021, many people were trapped in their cars, in tunnels and in subways, and as the water rose their only escape was out through the sewer drains. Here we have some survivors making their way to the surface and the Rufus’s that helped them.
Grandmother stops a kidnapping
She’s going home. Minding her own business, when she hears a commotion behind her. What? That six year old is being absucted. Not on her watch! So she springs to action. SHe things of nothing else. You go grandma! You go! A full-on Rufus

More examples of personal heroism. It’s mostly inside of China as that is all that I have examples of. This is my 2021 Dragon Boat Festival edition.
I accidentally mixed up my posted videos with the un-posted so if you saw a particular video, I still urge you to re-watch it again.
These videos all take place in China, and show examples of how average, normal, everyday people (or dogs and cats) can make a difference. When the calling strikes and an emergency occurs, will you be the one who turns their back, or will you run and offer help?
Will you be the one who stays playing on the cell-phone, or will you lend a helping hand?

A kind act deserves respect
I argue that all of us must be the best that we can be, and to do everything being mindful of the kindness that we provide. That requires an understanding of the needs of others; empathy. Which is something that psychopaths, and sociopaths are unable to understand. (The Western oligarchical leadership.) Which is why it is so missing and devoid in the West.
Be the Rufus. Show your humanity.
A fisherman gets fished
Throughout China are these little fishing ponds. A guy owns some land, he has a bulldozer dig up a pond, he then stocks it with fish, and charges folk a few yuan to fish all day. It’s a nice pastime. Well, at least it is if you don’t try to get in the water when you don’t know how to swim.
Luckily there is a nearby Rufus to pull him out.
Discovery on the Beach
You are walking along, and you spot a turtle upside down dying in the hot Australian sun. What are you going to do? Are you going to continue onward, shrugging your shoulders, and saying “not my business”? Or are you going to help the poor defenseless creature?
I know what a Rufus would do.
A tri-wheeled electric truck wrecks
And it’s right there in front of you. What are you going to do? Are you going to drive by? Maybe pull an “American”, you know what I mean… slowly drive by, gawk through your window, and say “well, I’m glad it’s not me“. And then forget about the entire event while you go into a drive through for your triple-decker double-cheese deluxe super-sized mega-burger..
Nope. Life is about being the Rufus. Be good. Be helpful. Anything less is below you.
A community pulls together
A community pulls together and everyone participates. They all work as a team. Even if many are just unskilled go-gooders. A measure of a truly functioning society is the amount of contribution that an individual can provide to that community.
In America how much was my contribution? Very little. I wasn’t allowed to. I had to register to participate. I had to pay to take classes, then pay for registration. Then once registered, I had yearly dues to contribute, and a series of up-grades in skill sets.
And that was just for being a forest-fire-fighter.
In China, EVERYONE participates. And you don’t need to register, pay a fee, or yearly dues either.
We must help others
It’s not just turtles, dogs, cat, people. It can be ducks, and geese. We all need each other. We really do. Is your life so busy that you cannot stop and lend a helping hand to a mother with her chicks? Are you so all-important that you cannot slow down and be the guiding light and the shelter in the storm?
Be the Rufus.
Like this woman obviously is.
A delivery girl feeds her baby
It’s tough when you are in your 20’s. You have broken out from the parents, and are now off on your own. But what are you going to do? You need to work, and you have a six month year old baby. What do you do? Give it to daycare? No money. Have a friend or family member watch? Not always possible.
What’s a Rufus to do?
A Rufus does what needs to be done. And if it means you work with the baby by your side, you do it. A Rufus is what we should all strive to be.
Freak Accident takes down the driver
Notice how this Rufus handles himself, and how everyone else tries to assist. People, we are all part of something much larger than just scraping by trying to survived in a world dominated by psychopathic and sociopath personalities. And for us to shine!.. To really shine we must actually be the best that we can be.
We must be the Rufus. Nothing else matters.
Coronavirus B-strain takes down an officer
The COVID-19B is a very nasty and lethal bio-weapon and when it first started to hit China, it came out of nowhere. People started getting seizures and dying on the spot. No wonder trump wanted to inoculate the American population with the safe A-strain.
What would you do, if you were the Chinese leadership and you started to see this? Why you would take the most extreme measures possible. That is what you would do. China acted in unison like a Rufus.
Collapse on the street
A man collapses right then and there. People stand around not knowing what to do. The kids look on. The man goes by busy on his way to work. The old lady looks on. A teenager takes a video…
But a Rufus gets on his hands and knees and does CPR.
In this world if you are not making the world a better place; if all you care about is greed, money, lust, wealth, power… and you have no humanity what so ever… then you are not living. You are a potato.
Be the Rufus. It’s our highest calling.
Bike wreck with children aboard
So a woman wipes out while carrying three babies. The bike splatters all over the road, and she is hurt, confused, and all the kids are crying. What are YOU going to do? You don’t know her, you have businesses to run, people to meet, deadlines to deal with and an angry boss? What will you do?
I’ll tell you what I would do, I’d help her. Be the Rufus. It’s you highest calling.
Blocking the spray
The world needs people to do a lot of little things, a lot of tiny kind actions. Like this man (or woman) here. The street cleaner is spraying the road and will probably ‘take out” the motorcycle rider. But not if there is a Rufus around. Rufus will block the spray. Rufus will provide shelter. Rufus will be there.
A nation for and of Rufus’s is unstoppable.
Rescue at a car accident
A car gets into an accident. People see this and run to the car to lend help and support. This is what all Rufus’s do. But if you want to instead by the bystander, the potato…not do anything… not render help and assistance then you deserve the society that you created. The world needs each other. We must be open, helpful, caring, understanding and accepting of others. No matter what.
Which pretty much explains why the United States is in the dire mess it is today. It must change. It must.
A truck driver hit and dying
You don;t know what the day might bring. You just do not know. But you do know that as long as there is a Rufus around, that you are not alone. That you will be helped, and that others will take care of you with no questions and without asking for money.
The Rufus is ALWAYS there to help.
A car accident
When a car gets into an accident, are you the kind of person that slows down to watch what is going on? Or, do you stop everything, get out, and offer help and assistance? You action during these periods of stress and turmoil are what defines who you are.
Are you a Rufus, or are you a potato?
A man is beating up a woman on the street
You are minding your own business, checking your messages and getting ready to go out for a nice dinner with friends and then home. When suddenly you hear a woman calling for help and you see a guy hitting her, kicking her, and wresting with her. What would you do?
Would you pretend nothing is going on, and look the other way, or would you be the Rufus?
Helping a little old lady
You would think that EVERYONE would be helpful to a really old and feeble lady. Nope. Not in today’s modern age. It’s every man for himself. And “only the strong” survive. Which is why everyone in America admires the multimillionaires that rule them. Not here. You are either a Rufus, or you are a potato. There is no “shades of grey” in this matter.
Be the Rufus.
Rescue of a drowning boy
A small dot in the wide expanse of water is struggling. Others notice, but they do nothing aside from screaming and yelling. Some film the event. But no one goes out into the water. No one wants to get wet. no one cares. No one is willing to get uncomfortable in the icy cold water.
No one, except a Rufus.
Be the Rufus, its our highest calling!
A classmate is down
A guy is going down the steps, falls and hits his head. Hes out. So what are you going to do? Nothing? Call the police? Stand by. Run past… or stop and help. The Rufus in you SCREAMS help this man. Now!
Be the Rufus. Anything less is below you.
Another Drowning
And another drowning. It’s another place, at another time… Hundreds of people watch doing nothing. Not the Rufus.
The Rufus does not wait.
The Rufus does not hesitate.
The Rufus acts.
Lending a helping hand
A Rufus will contribute to make the world a better place. A Rufus will be helpful, will participate, and will be selfless. When you have a nation were everybody works for the well being of the society as a whole, the entire society wins, and everyone benefits.
Such as this Rufus demonstrates…
Yet another drowning
People getting caught up in large sudden flood happens all over the world and is far more common than one would realize. When I was a boy in Western Pennsylvania we once had a night of heavy rain, the next day, when walking to school I noticed that the trailer park on the banks of the river was missing.
At night the entire trailer park with sixteen trailers went into the river while the people were sleeping. Eight died. Another twenty has never been found.
Be the Rufus. Contribute. Be helpful.
Warning others of danger
Torrential rain has flooded the road. In the middle of it is a sewer drain. The top is gone, and if someone were to ride into it the would have a very bad accident. Someone might even get killed. The Rufus doesn’t wait. The Rufus doesn’t sit by and film. The Rufus acts.
Are you a Rufus?
Participation in Society
You are in school. Everyone gets one and only one banana. One banana doesn’t have the skin on, and so it is undesirable. Are you and your friends going to let the last person in the line get the undesirable food, or are you going to “man up” step to the plate and do one for your crew? For your friends? For your classmates? For your society?
What would Rufus do?
Rescuing a child in distress
Your baby is in trouble. Your child is very sick and you are in a complete panic. What are you going to do? Well, there is a traffic cop in the middle of the road. So you run to him. Can he help you? Will he help you? What’s the story?
No worry. He’s a Rufus.
Being “Spiderman” to save a toddler
A baby has crawled on the ledge of an air conditioner five stories up. What are you going to do? Will you call the police? Will you call the fire department? Will you call an ambulance?
Will you wait for the coroner?
If you are a Rufus, you will take action. Just like these fellows did. Be the Rufus. It’s your highest calling.
Putting out an electrical fire
A young body sees an electrical fire. What will he do? Will he go and get his parents? Will he run out of the house? Will he pretend that nothing is going on? Will he pour water on the electrical box that is on fire?
TH
Helping others
People, old ladies, children and dogs all need our help. But most people don’t care. They are just off in “la-la land” playing the “grab everything I can before I die game”. You know like Bill Clinton and Donald Trump. They only offer the appearance of assistance when it serves their purposes. Like the “Buddy” the White House dog under Clinton’s. When the utility was finished, these beings were discarded like old hamburger wrappings in the garbage.
A Rufus would never do that. A Rufus is kind to all. A Rufus makes the world a better place in very small bits and pieces. A Rufus is what the world needs right now.
Rescuing a child under attack
A child is playing in their front yard near the family car. Suddenly a dog comes up and starts attacking the child. No one is around. What can the child do? The dog is about the same size with terrible teeth and a mean bite. Well, luckily there is a cat nearby and the cat protects the child.
It’s a cat Rufus.
Flooding is causing road barriers to collapse
A Rufus participates in society. It’s not “other people’s problem”, it’s all of ours. And we all need to work together to make the world a better place for all of us to live in.
America has 300 million people. For the last fifty years they all, each and everyone, sat on their asses and demanded “me-me-me”, in fact the 1990’s was labeled the “me decades”. But imagine what America would look like today, if everyone pitched in… if everyone worked together. If everyone contributed to society. If everyone picked up litter for free. If everyone volunteered to scrub graffiti, if everyone contributed their time and effort. If everyone was more understanding, and more compassionate.
Like they are in China.
A Rufus doesn’t wait. A Rufus acts. A Rufus makes the world a better place to live in. Not for money. Not for fame. Not for appreciation. A Rufus does it, because it is the right thing to do.
Be a Rufus.
Oh, and in case you all were unaware. All the guys doing this in the video are delivery guys working for “Kangaroo Food Delivery”.
Girl choking on food.
You are eating with others. Maybe schoolmates. Maybe classmates. Maybe colleagues. Maybe family. When suddenly one of the girls stands up and starts to choke. What are you going to do? Are you going to sit there, and pretend nothing is going on, or are you going to do something? Are you going to help the person in distress.
Are you a Rufus?
An old cat
The cat is 22 years old. This is ancient and equivalent to 150 “human” years. But we are guys. We have things to do, our careers, taxes to pay, emergencies to take care of. And our beloved pets get sidelined. Children come, and the pets are ignored. They get old, and forgotten. Oh, we give them food and water, but mostly let them fend for themselves.
They get old. Their bones hurt. They have trouble using the litter box, finding where the food is, seeing and smelling. They no longer can jump, climb or get around.
Rufus would never ignore loved ones. Not young pets. Not children, and not old ancient pets either. A Rufus would spend time with the loved ones, comfort them, help them and show them compassion and humanity.
Helping a stalled electric scooter
An old man is stuck in the middle of a torrential downpour. He’s old, the scooter is stalled. The rains are horrible and the multi-lane road is flooded. Its rush hour and he’s fucked. He’s in the worst place at the worst time, and everyone wants to get out of there and go home.
That is…
…everyone except a Rufus.
Be the Rufus, it’s our highest calling.
Stopping a kidnapping
Once a Rufus hears struggles, screams and cries for help they act. They don’t turn their head and pretend that nothing is going on. They don’t stand to the side. They don’t become an onlooker. They take action.
Such as this woman did.
Be the Rufus.
School boys take down a mugger
Society should act like an organism. When a cancer starts to take root, the healthy cells need to coordinate their efforts to expel the bad. That is the way the body works when fighting colds and illness. And that is how a healthy society works.
But over the years, very unhealthy society’s have grown, became famous, and teach that their sick and twisted systems as being the best, and the ultimate in perfection. It’s a lie.
Healthy societies find the bad, and expel it. Such as this group of young boys and Rufus’s illustrate.
Military reservist takes down a mugger
Maybe you were trained to be a Naval Aviator, but you are scrubbing commodes now. Maybe you have three university degrees in engineering and astrophysics, but you are on a hard-labor chain-gang break up rocks. Maybe you were a trained special forces operator, but you are now a “delivery boy” for fast food. And you see a mugging. What are you going to do? What are YOU going to do?
You be the Rufus. It’s your highest calling.
Conclusion
We do not know when the calling will come.
However, when it calls, you must take action. It will not make you wealthy, rich, famous, or attractive. But, it will make a difference when you are judged upon death. Be the Rufus. Make a difference. Help others. It’s our highest calling.
The world needs us now. More, now more than ever.
Be the Rufus, or be a potato. There are no other options.

Rufus is the man who helped Jesus carry the cross upon which he later died. Rufus did not need to do it. He did so out of kindness and humanity. Our world, today, is reaching the end of a growth spurt. This period of growth has been long, many centuries in duration, and is now coming to a close. It is not sustainable. Mankind needs to evolve, and there are really two, and only two courses of action. You can be a productive and helpful member of society, or you can be a user who consumes and does not produce anything. Which are you?
Here are some videos (taken within China) that illustrate the kinds of things that true Rufus-being do. You might not ever be called upon, but when you are, and how you act, will determine your spot in Heaven. Mark my words.
Conclusion
The world today is a big mess. It is in a state of turmoil, and the systems that have created this mess must change for the entire population of the earth are trapped inside a car that is charging, full throttle, towards the abyss.
And fucking idiots are driving it.
We simply just CANNOT keep doing this like we have done in the past. They might work for a handful of people, but not for all of humanity.
Things need to change.
All change starts locally and personally. It is one person here, it is a kind word there, it is a helpful hand over there. As long as the bulk of society works towards the common good, we will be able to survive this time period and thrive.
If, however, we cling onto the selfish, the greedy, and the desire to lord power over others “I am the biggest and best!” or “You will do as I demand, or else I will…” then we are in for a Hellish experience…
And it will be very, very Hellish.
Be the Rufus or not. It’s your life, and your community. Make the decision and be the best you can be, or be the users that consume without ever producing. You can be the person who covets tons of piles of green paper, or the person that shares their meals with friends. You can be the person that holds the door open for others and puts tips in the tip jar, or you could be the person who crashes into a store demanding things be done “their way”!
You are either a contributor to society, or you are a user of resources.
The earth can no longer sustain a nine billion population of users. It can only sustain a much smaller population. And that population must be contributors to the well being of mankind.
The Basics
Remember, the world and humanity is one where the most basic of principles are maintained…
Things are being used.
People and relationships are treasured.
Today’s Normal
In all the world, where there is confusion and strife, we can see that these most basic principles have been reversed. These places, such as America, such as England, and such as Australia have adopted a skewed vision for humanity. It is one where…
People are being used.
Things are being cherished.
It is not sustainable, and the Great Reset will no longer support this philosophy.

It’s stories like this that remind us of our humanity and our place and role on this planet. We should be helping others in need, not trying to grab handfuls of cash at the expense of others.
Be the Rufus.
It’s our highest calling.
Recently, photos taken at one Istanbul hospital’s emergency room made a round on social media. The snaps that were shared by Merve Özcan on Twitter show a mother cat bringing her sick kitten to the human hospital. The paramedics can be seen surrounding the poor mama cat and petting her.
Luckily, the Turkish people are known for their love and respect for stray animals and they provided the cats with the necessary help. The kitten is now fine and no CAT scans were required.
Recently, in Istanbul, a stray cat mom took her baby kitten to the ER
Shared by thousands of people on Turkish social media and liked by more than 82k people on Reddit, the story made many’s hearts warm. In the photos shared on Twitter, a baby kitten is seen carried by its mama to the human emergency room.
“Today we were in the emergency room of the hospital when a cat rushed to bring her offspring in her mouth,” Merve Özcan, who originally shared the photos, wrote.
The photos that made a round on social media show paramedics huddled around the cats
Local media writes that while the baby was being cared for, the medics gave its mother some milk and food to make her more relaxed and comfortable. The Turks have long been known for their love and care for stray animals, with many leaving out food and water for them on the streets.
After the intervention of human doctors, the two cats were directed to a vet
Luckily, as Turkish media reported, both cats seemed fine, but were still directed to the vet just to be sure that the mother and kitten duo are in good health.
The event was all over Turkish news outlets and social media
People on Reddit praised the paramedics and hospital staff at the Istanbul hospital for their kind actions. Some also remembered stories of their own where people helped animals in need. “This happened in my hometown with a birthing cat. She had problems and walked up to the hospital and started to meow. They helped her and she is now the pet of the doctor who called the vet,” one Reddit user shared.
Here’s what people on social media said

As most American are “sheltering in place”, and the cloud of COVID-19 is slowing evaporating from China, I think that many people are stressed, and feel uncertain about their lives. I really do not think that the $1000 gift from Trump in the $2 trillion dollar emergency bill is going to amount to anything Mostly it’s the rich bankers that are going to pocket millions of dollar. Most Americans realize this. So this results in fear and uncertainty.
It need not be that way. There was a time when America was self-reliant and self-contained. Men went about and conducted their business freely. They never had to ask permission, report their actions or pay taxes to the American government. They were on their own and self-reliant.
They were heroes.
Here are some videos of normal “everyday” people performing heroic actions. I do hope that they can inspire you to be the best that you can be.

Boy helps old man.
An old man collapses while crossing the street. But a young boy goes forth and helps him up. This is a good story and a great lesson that we all need to take heed of. Good going son. Good going.
Here’s a woman who braves the engulfing fire that has trapped young children inside a car. Does she pause? Yes, but then she steel’s herself and brave the heat, the fire and the smoke. She does what ever she needs to. She must go and save the baby. It’s her sole purpose and focus.
Purse snatcher tries to make a get away. Unlucky for him that there are others in the parking lot who are aware and ready to deal with this miscreant properly. Nothing like a spare shopping cart to take care of problems.
Firemen rescue trapped family.
Firemen are all heroes. Here we see some Chinese firemen rescuing a family that is trapped inside a burning building. This is why they exist. This is their job, however that does not mean that they are not heroes. They are and their actions are heroic.
Rescue of a boy in the street.
This is a head-slap event. What the Hell is this kid thinking? He’s going to run out in the middle of an 11-lane super highway? Lordy! You need to keep your eyes on the children at all times, that’s for certain.
Emergency CPR.
An old man collapses on the sidewalk. A stranger sees this and immediately starts emergency CPR on him. It’s all captured on film. This is what heroes do. They don’t get on CNN and talk about how great they are. They live quiet lives and help others when the need and time comes.
Climb up to rescue the children.
Bravery is what we see in hindsight. True heroes react immediately without thinking. Here we have a man crawling on his 6th floor porch to get to the apartment above to rescue some screaming children.
Prevent an accident.
Kids do the strangest things. Like perhaps riding out into a busy traffic road. What are you going to do? Allow him to get squished and turn into jelly, or are you going to do something about it, eh?
Catch a falling child.
OK. So you are walking down a sidewalk and you hear frantic screaming up above you. You look up and it seems like someone is outside the building scrambling, but that they might fall. What are you going to do? Maybe call 9-11? Maybe pretend nothing is going on?
I hope that you enjoyed this post. I have others that are similar to it in my Rufus Index here…

Let’s start 2020 off right. Let’s look at how average people… people like you and I… can make a difference in the lives of others. Let’s look at how people are being kind, rescuing others, and helping people in distress.
Here are some more videos of personal heroism. These videos
all take place in China, and show examples of how average, normal, everyday
people (or dogs and cats) can make a difference. When the calling strikes and
an emergency occurs, will you be the one who turns their back, or will you run
and offer help? Will you be the one who stays playing on the cell-phone, or
will you lend a helping hand? Will you be the person who will make a difference
in the lives of those around you, or are you just going to fade into the
background.
Make a difference. Be like Rufus!

These are all micro-videos of very short duration. From ten seconds
to three minutes. I would suggest that you, the reader, allow them to
load to get the full experience.
Video 1 – Woman tries to kidnap a child
Yes, they try to kidnap children all over the world, and they do so so expertly. Often, a bystander wouldn’t know what is going on.
In this case, a woman thinks this child is alone, and just grabs her / his hand and starts to walk off with him. Luckily the mother was right there. She stopped her and called the police. Smart move woman.
The woman who tried to kidnap the child has two children already. One is one years old, and the other two years old. She wanted to get another child for them to play with them.
Except… she had no intention of registering this child with the government (you can only have two or else pay enormous amounts in taxes), and had no intention in providing the child with schooling. In China, you need to pay for it out of pocket.
She’s average looking… but a demon inside.
Video 2 – An honest beggar returns money.
Here’s a guy who is begging on the streets. He has some mental issues and is unable to hold a job. Yet, a friendly stranger gives him some free food. And, inside the bag is some money for him to have.
The beggar doesn’t know what to do.
He takes the money to the police. They immediately size up the situation and buy the beggar some more food and supplies with the money.
Video 3 – Beggar rescues a baby from inside a hot car.
Speaking of beggars. Here’s one who is rooting around in a trash can. He can collect plastic and glass bottles and get the deposits back and live off that money that he collects.
He hears a baby crying inside a locked up car.
Watch what happens as he tries to save the baby…
Video 4 – Catching a girl that jumps from a building.
You can try. Right? I mean, breaking the fall of any person falling from over three stories high is going to kill both of you. But it doesn’t matter. You need to try first. A real Rufus reacts. He doesn’t think.
And when the girl plummets below, you do your best to break her fall.
Video 5 – Cat saves boy from a dog attack.
People do not understand, but a cat will defend it’s humans. It will do so aggressively. As this video so clearly illustrates. A wild dog starts to attack a five year old boy. Lucky for him the cat will not allow it…
Video 6 – Creepy old man tries to kidnap a girl, bystanders stop him.
Yup. Creepy old men are everywhere. This fellow is trying to seduce a young girl to come with him. He promises more toys and more dolls in his van. Good thing that the bystanders protect her.
Video 7 – Doing your part for the community.
We share the world together. Shouldn’t we do our part to make it a better place?
Video 8 – Drug dealer arrested. In China, this is a death sentence of “death plus three”.
In China, selling and dealing drugs is a very, very serious crime. Doing drugs will land you in a two-year rehab. But selling drugs will get you death plus three. That’s three years of organ harvesting and then death. Here’s an arrest in progress…
Video 9 – Emergency CPR on the street.
This happens enough, and when it does happen, are you ready to save a life? Consider it. These are other people with friends, family and loved ones. You can make a big difference, not just by saving a person’s life, but with the entire family. Be the Rufus.
Video 10 – Emergency ride to take the baby to the hospital.
Here we have a policeman taking a baby that has stopped breathing to the hospital. Minutes matter. Yet, he speeds along and saves the baby. He’s a real Rufus.
Conclusion
We do not know when the calling will come.
However, when it calls, you must take action. It will not make you
wealthy, rich, famous, or attractive. But, it will make a difference

Video 1 – Man has a seizure
Here’s a guy that is having a seizure while waiting for an elevator. What would you do if you saw this happening? Would you just go your merry way and do nothing, or would you try to get help or yet… try to him him yourself? What would YOU do?
Video 2 – Man threatens to send baby into the river.
Stresses of life can get to you and can make you do strange and dangerous things. Here, we have this man with a young child threatening to jump into the river. If he jumps both would die. He holds his young daughter. What to do…?
Video 3 – Scooter accident.
Yes there is an accident and the rest of the world moves on. No one cares. But then there is a Rufus… a hero that comes tot he rescue. The guy is not moving. The accident is in the middle of the road and this intersection is a big intersection. Maybe six lanes or larger. What would you do?
Video 4 – Old man in crisis.
There are so many old people in China. Many of them are in their late 80’s and 90’s. They are moving about and buying groceries and such, but they often have a difficult time with things. Many times they need help. Will you be the Rufus and help them?
Video 5 – Muslim terrorist has hostage in elementary school.
Here we have a Muslim terrorist that is convinced that he will go to Heaven as a martyr if he kills innocent children in a kindergarten. All he needs to do is should “God is great” and start slicing necks. Then he will be killed in the act and be rewarded by Allah with 70 black-eyed virgins. Yup. He actually believes this nonsense.
How would you handle it?
Video 6 – Man having trouble while driving – asks policeman for help.
You are driving the car and suddenly you start having trouble. Your body is not reacting right and you cannot drive any longer. Lucky for you that you see a police car. So you flag it over and they help you…
Video 7 – The most emotional and moving video ever!
A woman dresses up as a nurse and steals a new born baby. This is the same thing that has happened time and time again before. In fact, in video 18 or 19 I have a video where the stolen baby was reunited with his real mother… 30 years later.
Anyways, this woman dressed up as a nurse and stole the baby. The mother is horrified, but you know what? They found the woman and raided her home…
Check it out!
The baby is returned…
Video 8 – Man stops a purse snatcher on a motorcycle.
Innocent bystanders can become a hero in an instant. While the lady two blocks down the street is screaming her lungs out, this young fellow takes action. He stops the motorcycle rider dead on the spot. A real Rufus!
Video 9 – Man helps a dog cross the street.
Dogs, as great as they are, sometimes need help. The smarter dogs know that trying to cross a street is dangerous. So what are they going to do? Well, good thing that there is a Rufus near by to help.
Video 10 – Rescue of a woman from a submerged car.
She is drowning. Hurt, and under very muddy water and the car is sinking fast into the mud. What are you going to do? Be the Rufus!
Conclusion

More examples of personal heroism in China. This is part nineteen. THis is a collection compiled the day after Christmas in 2019. We’ve got some nice micro-videos to start the new year off with.

Video 1 – Mother and son reunited after he was kidnapped in 1989 at 4 years old.
Stealing children, especially young kids, is a problem all over the world. Sometimes they are sold off for sex slaves, but more often than not, it is just a person that wants to have a young son to call their own.
This man was four years old in 1989. He was stolen and snatched. His parents thought that he was long dead.
Then imagine their surprise when he got a routine gene DNA test. They are becoming rather common in China. Like when you want to have a child, you need to have the DNA approved by the government. So he submitted his DNA and low and behold, he is not who he thought he was!
This is his reunion with his real natural mother.
His father died the year earlier, broken hearted, believing that his son was forever gone.
Video 2 – Boy collapses in an icy pool.
Life is like that. Everything seems nice and fine. Quiet and eventual. Just some small puddles. It’s a little chilly out, not arctic temperatures. SO the boy wants to climb about and just be a boy. Then the unthinkable happens…
Video 3 – Bystanders stop and capture a robber that preys on old people.
This is a robber that accosts older men and women. Often in their 90’s, and often feeble. Both in mind and body. Only this time, a pair of Rufus’s notice what is going on. They go after the thug, chase him down and give him a real tongue lashing, I’ll tell you what!
Video 4 – Fire alarm in a kindergarten.
Everyone in Chinese schools must be able to evacuate quickly and simply. It can actually be amazing to watch. No one wants a repeat of 411. Check it out.
Video 5 – Man saves a dog trapped with a waterfall.
This man is saving a dog that is trapped in a waterfall. Watching this makes me feel good inside. I am reminded that there just might be hope fo the human species after all.
Video 6 – Preventing a sled riding accident.
This kind of things (I’m sure) happens all over America in the Winter. I think it must of happened to me more than a few time. Boy and kids being what they are, are always getting into trouble. Lucky for them, an adult is around to save the day.
Video 7 – Tackling a purse snatcher.
Purse snatchers can think that they can get away and not be caught Little do they realize that there are “watchers” all over the place and it’s up to us, as individuals, to keep the peace and right the wrongs. Be the Rufus!
Video 8 – An entire village pulls up a car.
In China, no one is alone. This can come and be a real problems at times. But, there is a plus side to it. People, friends, community all pull together. They help each other out. It’s not at all like the “lone wolf” mentality that is so persistent in the United States.
This is not a submarine. It’s a car that fell into the icy river below.
Video 9 – Woman helps a heavily loaded motorcycle.
People helping people. I love it!
I love this chick, and man does she have strong legs. But what really attracts me to her is her willingness to help others. What a gal! She for certain put a big old smile on my face.
She didn’t have to.
She could have just kept minding her own business, don’t you know.
Video 10 When chemistry goes bad.
Anyone who has had haz-mat training and MSMD training in industry know that you must respect chemicals. Out-gassing is dangerous, as is the chemical reaction when incorrect quantities are combined. It can suddenly go South very, very quickly.
Like in this video…
Thank you for reading this.
God bless.
Conclusion
We do not know when the calling will come.
However, when it calls, you must take action. It will not make you
wealthy, rich, famous, or attractive. But, it will make a difference
when you are judged upon death. Be the Rufus. Make a difference. Help
others. It’s our highest calling.

More examples of personal heroism in China. This is part eighteen. I’m posting it on Christmas Day 2019. There’s some good stuff here.

Video 1 – Policeman helps a young girl cross the street.
It’s difficult to cross the street in China. Very few people will yield or give way for you to pass. Sometime the timid can just stand there trapped for a long, long time. It takes a special person, a Rufus or a hero to break things up. Here we have a police man taking the girl across the street.
Video 2 – Daughter insists on helping a man who fell on the ice.
Ah, the father doesn’t want to get involved. You know. However, the daughter has better ideas. She’s the Rufus and she’s going to help the man who fell on the ice. And she does. She breaks away from the father and helps the man down on the ice.
Video 3 – Car runs over a man and he is trapped under the engine.
And what do you think happens? People just let him die there? Nope. Everyone comes running to pull the man out. But he’s trapped. No time to lose. So then everyone comes and lifts up the car and pulls him out.
Video 4 – Dog takes an orphan kitten home.
I’ve posted another video on this event. The other video, however didn’t show how the dog picked up the kitten, and helped it up the stairs into his master’s house. So cute. That’s dogs for you. Being man’s best friend.
Video 5 – Firemen help the little old lady cross the street.
Unlike America, there are some very, very old people walking about in China. These folk are in their 90’s and while they might be ambulatory, they aren’t thinking right. They need help. The Chinese aren’t the kinds of people to lock their elders away into a “retirement home”. They move in with them and take care of them and when they go out, well, they can be a little befuddled.
Video 6 – Rescue of a boy who climbed out of his window and got stuck.
Lucky for him that his parents had installed child-proof bars. But, you know, boys being boys, just want to be free. So the kid, thinking that he is invincible, decides to try to climb out of his 6th floor window. Never, of course, realizing that if he falls, that he will go SPLAT!
Video 7 Bystanders capture and hold a man who tried to attack a girl.
Some things are not tolerated, and when this fellow tried to take advantage of this young lass, these two men decided to step in and stop the assault. Both of them are true heroes. Real Rufus. The real deal.
Video 8 – HK “Pro-Democracy” Antifa tries to assault a police man and run away…
But, he wasn’t paying attention. As he ran, a bystander set out his leg and the running Antifa “Pro-Democracy” terrorist tripped. He went flying… right off the mall floor and plunged a couple of floors down…
Video 9 – Man stops a truck from crushing another fellow.
Notice this guy. Man! He sees what is going on and hops up and down trying to get the truck driver’s attention! What a real hero! What a Rufus!
Video 10 – Girl in distress.
Here’s a chick that somehow got trapped on top of an awning about 14 floors up. I don’t think that she intended on killing herself, but unless someone helps her soon, that is exactly what will happen. But people are there to help. Real, 100% Rufus. They are not going to allow her to fall. No way. No how.
Bonus Video – Rescue of a mother and her son.
Often you don’t realize that a person is in distress until it is too late. Time is strange. You can go from “everything is fine”, to “OMG we are in the shit now!” within a half a second. Watch what happens in this crisis situation…
Thank you for reading this.
God bless.

Video 1 – Boy helps man after being hit by a hit and run driver.
This is why China has cameras everywhere, and facial recognition. The hit and run driver was caught and tried and is doing hard time in a Chinese hard-labor prison. You do not hit a person and then speed off…
Video 2 – Girl being dragged forward on an escalator.
Big kudos to the hijab wearing woman that rushes to save her! Do not allow the inherent biases of the radicalized Muslim elements to color your views on everyone else. There are good people everywhere. Rufus’s abound. You just don’t know who they are.
Most times they don’t know either.
Video 3 – Taking a beating.
Sometimes we are our own heroes. We take the beatings of life… unfair, uncalled for, undeserving and we move onward. We continue and we push and we strive. Sometimes, being a hero… being a Rufus is to just keep being excellent when the entire rest of the work is pushing for you to give up.
Video 4 – Emergency run to the hospital.
When there is an emergency, the baby is sick and cannot breathe… what are you going to do? In this case we have a terrified mother and a baby with difficulty breathing. The child needs to go to the hospital immediately…
Video 5 – Allowing people to pass.
Being the best that we can be often means being helpful, kind and considerate of others. This can be helping a person, or doing more than that. What ever, you time on this planet, in this body is a short one. Make the most of it.
Be good and kind to others and don’t ever expect any kind of payback.
Video 6 – Being the Rufus.
Being the Rufus means being an everyday hero. It means being the best that you can be, helping others, and not being manipulated by the wealthy, the media or the powerful. It means doing things on your terms in your way.
Be the Rufus.
Video 7 – Young boy wants to meet his hero.
This is a cute video and shows that the players care about their fans. And yes, the kid did not need to interrupt the interview and the bodyguards shooed him away, the football player showed that he had heart and was supportive of his fans. He’s a true Rufus.
Video 8 – Not all heroes wear capes.
But what they do actually do is be the best that they can be. In every way, you must strive to be the best of who you are. Your rewards will be many. Check out this young girls writing ability.
Video 9 – Train track emergency.
Check out the Rufus that drops everything and comes to the rescue of this motorcycle rider who spilled right on top of the train tracks. He’s a real Rufus, that’s for sure!
Video 10 – Community.
We are all part of a community. You have your immediate family, then your friends, and then your local community. We need each other and that need is a a real and important one. Take care and embrace it.
Thank you for reading this.
God bless.

More videos of personal heroism in China. This is part fifteen.
Some people find these posts interesting, others boring. I find them inspirational. They how the best of what we are and why that matters.
It matters.

Video 1 – Help an old lady cross the street.
Here is a video of a little old lady making her way across the street. The intersection is a six-way, and totally confusing to the pedestrian folk of all ages. SO she’s going her way, at her speed. The cars are zipping by. But you know what?
One guy stops for her. Then a motorcycle gets in front of the the other lane and stops the traffic there. And then again, yet another car takes the lead.
Rufus. We are everywhere!
Video 2 – Rescue a man from a train.
What in the world is this guy thinking? What could be so interesting on the railroad tracks? Well, what ever it is, he is totally and completely absorbed in it, and the train is coming at him with lightening speed. He’s only got seconds before he is squashed into jelly.
Lucky for him, a Rufus sees him…
Video 3 – Catch a thief.
Thief’s are able to rob people and get away with crimes because no one comes after them. But that is changing. In China, when you take down a criminal, you help someone, you give a person CPR, you will not be sued. The police won’t arrest you Berkley, California style, or sue you for saving their life. So people are permitted by law to be heroes.
And that means catching crooks…
Video 4 – Help take down a terrorist.
When a policeman is trying to take down a terrorist, innocent bystanders might want to assist. Here, we have a Uighur Muslim in Xinjiang, China wielding a knife and shouting “God is Great” while stabbing passers by. Unlucky for him the police and the locals won’t tolerate his nonsense.
Video 5 – Helping a homeless man.
This fellow helps a guy down on his luck. Or, maybe he is mentally disturbed, or has other issues. In any event, he tries to help him. He buys him food, and gives him the shirt off his back. He’s a real Rufus…
Video 6 – Standing for the National Anthem
You would NEVER see this in the United States, but it is common in the rest of the world. When the national anthem is played, everyone stops and faces the flag and gives it their undivided attention.
Personal pride, respect for your country, your community and your school is what defines our local relationships. Without it, we are just mindless cogs within a machine.
Video 7 – Businessman gets bad news.
It’s not only emotionally distraught young women that throw themselves infront of speeding trains, it can be men as well. Sometimes the news can be so overwhelming, so out of control, and so damning that we just (out of emotion) plunge ourselves into the dark abyss. Luckily for this fellow, Rufus was nearby to help.
Video 8 – New rescue technology.
This is pretty cool. I don’t know how effective it would be, as the motor and technology would have to be checked regularly, but it’s a useful application of inventive technologies and worthy of mention.
Video 9 – A cat saves a boy from a dog attack!
This is another favorite video. It’s exactly as it appears. A dog attacks a little boy, and a cat races to the rescue!
Video 10 – Man robs a woman in a bank and then changes his mind when he sees how little she has in her account.
This kind of thing has happened more than once in China, and I am at a loss to understand why. Maybe the Chinese have a understanding of things that are different than what you have in America.
Thank you for reading this.
God bless.

More videos of personal heroism in China. This is part fourteen. This one has some of my favorites. The cat and the dog heroes really put a smile on my face.
Please watch those videos.

Video 1 – Stranger saves an infant from getting run over!
So you are minding your own business. You turn around and there is a car heading straight for you at Indy-500 speeds. What’s more, there is a little infant standing in the way! What are you going to do?
You snap into action – that’s what! You become the Rufus and you rescue the child.
Video 2 – A crazed motorcyclist decides to go after a middle-school girl.
Being in China, you get to see some really strange events. One of which is apparent crazed violence from out the blue. I think that it is due to the Chinese nature; they keep all their emotions pent up inside of them for decades. Then, every now and then, something snaps and they just go berserk.
Here, we have a crazed fellow and he decides to go after some (normally) pretty harmless middle-school girls. Bad move guy. Bad move…
Video 3 – Rescuing a distraught young girl.
It can be really difficult growing up. You have the expectations of your parents, the trials of the school and the pains of growing up in a community of your peers. As a young girl, your emotions and hormones are raging and things don’t always go the way that you want. So you can get very sad, and even suicidal.
Here we have a concerned bystander getting a local policeman involved and he chats and helps the young girl.
Video 4 – Cat stops a toddler from falling off the edge of the porch.
This is one of my favorite videos.
You know, in China, every apartment has a porch. Some can be as high up as 60 floors high. And to make matters worse, young children and toddlers often climb out onto the porches and plunge to their deaths to the streets below. It doesn’t matter if it is on third floor or the sixtieth floor. A fall would be fatal.
This cat knows this, and will absolute not allow the toddler to go anywhere near the edge of the porch. No way!
Video 5 – Girl on crutches carried by a stranger.
China can be rude sometime. There are rude people everywhere, and insensitive people. There are sociopaths, and psychopaths and they exist in every society. They are all bad people.
Here we have a girl on crutches and a rude driver.
Luckily we have a Rufus nearby that that carry the girl to safety…
Video 6 – Car intentionally hits another car to save a life.
Another favorite video.
Watch it carefully. This car is going to run over some people crossing the street. It’s a mother with two small children. The car, were it to hit them would most certainly result in deaths and damage.
Yet…
Yet.. another car sees this. He “floors it” and rams the other car. Preventing it from hitting the family.
A true Rufus Hero!
Video 7 – Three workers rescue a girl.
It’s late at night. Two thugs try to accost a pretty girl alone in a park. Hey! China is not New York City! People do not stand for that kind of unhealthy evil behavior.
Watch what the workers sitting on the bench do.
Video 8 – Dog defends his master.
So here is a burglary inside a home. The burglar does not expect anyone to be home, but suddenly a 20-something girl in a bathrobe comes out. Shes wearing nothing except a robe. He quickly decides to go after her, and some bad things could result.
Luckily she has a live-in Rufus to protect her!
Video 9 – Rescue of a child in the water.
Some things define explanation. Who knows why this young kid decided to jump into the water? But he did, and panic ensues. What will happen to him? What do you think?
Video 10 – Helping others.
You don’t need to save lives to make a difference. Just being helpful and kind is all that is required.
Today, just say a kind word to someone. Tell that girl that she looks good. Complement someone on their outfit. Buy someone a cup of coffee at work, Pay it forward at a parking meter or a toll booth.
Make a difference.
It’s the way of the Rufus.
Thank you for reading this.
God bless.
Conclusion

Video 1 – Baby left inside a locked car.
So, you are walking down the street and you hear a baby crying. You look inside a parked car nearby and you see that there is a baby locked inside. It is crying and you are worried. What are you going to do?
Pretend nothing is going on?
Or will you be the Rufus and spring into action?
Video 2 – Young child hops on a farm truck and takes it for a spin…
Except that he’s not so good at driving and crashes it right into a bridge. If you watched this, what would you do? Why, if it were me, I’d spring into Rufus mode…
Video 3 – Child falls into a pond and is drowning.
You hear screams and cries. You look over the railing and there is a small boy flailing his arms trying to keep his head above the water. What are you going to do? Call the police? Call the fire department? Or, as in this case, you kick off your shoes and go in and save the child.
You be the Rufus!
Video 4 – Small boy wants to meet his football hero.
Ok, so the bodyguards chase him away. No big deal. Famous people always have to deal with adoration of the mobs. But not this time. The football player (Soccer player, in American English) calls the boy over and chats with him a spell and sends him on his way.
Video 5 – Granny is trapped in the ice and is fading fast.
That’s right. It’s not just little children that can get into trouble. Somehow this grandmother fell through the ice and is having a dickens of time getting out. You can tell that she is fading fast and cannot move her arms very well. Who knows how long she has been in there? But you are the only one available in this small rural community. You need to save her and you need to act fast. Are you up to it?
Video 6 – Car hits a mother with her son.
Not only that, but you have to deal with a furious little boy. What are you going to do, and how are you going to handle it?
Video 7 – Husband helps his pregnant wife.
Been there done that. Yup, this is China, and this is the kind of things that a husband will do for his wife heavy in pregnancy.
Video 8 – Bridge rescue.
Flood waters have carried a man off and down river. He’s a goner for certain. Yet, there is a bridge across the river. Maybe if everyone rushes to the bridge they can save him. And that is what happens, the entire town rushes there…
Video 9 – Being the good guy.
You know, giving your seat, or place in line for the needy is a good thing to do. It’s a Rufus kind of thing. It shows character, worth and value. Be the Rufus.
Video 10 – A Tribute to the workers of the world.
Not every job is 9 to 5, sit within a cubicle, and stare at a computer screen of spreadsheets and emails. There are people who actually perform dangerous tasks daily. They risk their lives every single day, and no one notices or cares.
Here’s a tribute to them.
Oh, by the way, this first video of the man in the steel mill was a job that I actually did. It is hot, hot work and terribly exhausting.
Thank you for reading this.
God bless.

Video 1 – Bus driver stops and offers emergency side help.
Here we have an emergency and the bus driver stops and diverts his route to help…
Video 2 – Old man carried to safety.
Here we have Rufus helping a old man to safety off the road. Notice how everyone else is just driving by and ignoring the old man. Yet, this guy stops his car and goes forth and helps him.
Video 3 – Police carry sick person to the ambulance.
Here, the police have a man in distress. They pick him up. Carry him to the ambulance and get him to a hospital stat! This is how a functioning community works. It’s not “us vs. them” for political expediency. It’s about helping each other for the general good.
Video 4 – DD driver has passenger with a seizure.
DD is the Chinese version of Uber. Here, the passenger starts to have a seizure right there and then, the driver pulls over to the police to get him immediate medical attention.
Video 5 – Police kindly relocate an old man selling vegetables.
China has zoning restrictions. You just cannot go selling things just about anywhere you want.
Here we have an old man that is trying to sell some vegetables for some small change. The police tell him that he cannot sell there, and then politely and nicely pack him up and move him to a place where he can sell his goods. It’s all about HOW you handle things.
This would never happen in the USA. The old man would be jailed, if not shot outright.
Video 6 – Rescue of a man drowning.
Here’s a rescue of a man in distress in the water.
Video 7 – Everyone pitches in.
Well, this truck got into an accident and is blocking the road. What’s a people to do? Well, they all stop the traffic, get out of their cars and go forth and right the truck so that it can get out of the way and life could continue on as normal. Community… an important aspect of the human condition.
Video 8 – Keeping our community clean.
Speaking of community. Here’s a gal and a guy righting up a trash can and trying to keep their streets clean and safe. You see, if everyone does this the entire community benefits and people can live their lives in health and happiness.
Video 9 – Passenger steers the bus while driver has a seizure.
People get sick. And, in this case, the bus driver is having some kind of a seizure while he is driving. Lucky for him a passenger takes the wheel and guides the bus to the side to the road.
Video 10 – Sometimes all that you can do is pray.
Life can be hard. It can be sad.
And sometimes…
Sometimes…
All you can do is pray.

More stories of personal heroism in China. This is part nine.
Will you be the person who will make a difference
in the lives of those around you, or are you just going to fade into the
background.

Video 1 – Save the little kitten.
Kittens and little children (and puppies) don’t know the dangers of roads. Plus, the drivers often cannot see the little critter and thus it can be quite dangerous for them. Here we have a Rufus stopping a truck so that the kitten can be saved…
Video 2 – Young boy returns a wallet.
Rufus comes in all ages, races, sizes and dispositions. Here we have a little boy returning a wallet. Well, he’s trying to, at least. He’s a good boy, and I would be proud of him were he to be my son…
Video 3 – A split second to save a girl.
Sometimes, you react without even thinking. You just reach out and save someone from a terrible accident…
Video 4 – Rescue from the ice.
Here is one of the most terrifying of rescues; trapped in the ice. When I grew up in Western Pennsylvania, there were many of my classmates that died from walking on an ice-frozen river and fell through the thin ice. It’s not just that the water is cold, but that you can easily sink down and get trapped under the ice with no way to break out.
Here we see Rufus running to the rescue.
Video 5 – Rescue from drowning.
But it’s not just the water and ice. Even int he middle of the summer people can get hurt in and around the water. I well remember on Cape Cod where people would just be standing in ankle deep water and a wave would crash over them, and a under-tow rip-tide would wash them out to sea.
Dangerous and horrifying.
Video 6 – Stop the car and get that pickpocketer.
What would you do if you were in a car driving along and see someone committing a crime? Would you stop and help the person being stolen from or would you ignore it and just keep walking… NY city style? What would you do?
Video 7 – Giving birth in the hospital lobby.
OK, so you are pregnant, and you start going into labor. You hop into the car and you make it to the hospital, but uh-oh… it’s too late the baby is coming out right there and then! Yikes!
What do you do?
Video 8 – Here’s to all the workers that take shit with a smile.
This is a tribute to all the workers who take shit as part of their job. You are not alone, many of us has had the exact same situation.
Video 9 – Bus driver emergency detour to the hospital.
Here’s a bus driver that sees and emergency and then takes a detour from his regular bus route to save someone. Be the Rufus. Even if it might cost you your job.
Video 10 – Help with an overturned wheelchair.
Talk about bad luck. This poor sap is stranded in the middle of a busy intersection and is unable to do anything. Would you go forth and help him?
Conclusion

Video 1 – Children makes some emergency road work.
Well, some kids are walking along and spot a hole in the middle of the road. Would they walk on by? Would they hurry on home from school and say nothing? Or, perhaps, they would try to be the Rufus. Maybe they would place some warnings so that others won’t fall into the hole.
They would be the Rufus.
Video 2 – Dog rescues a lost kitten.
True story. This little kitten is alone, and cannot find it’s mother. However, it sees a big dog, and so it follows it. The dog knows that it is following him. So he leads the kitten on. He helps it up the stairs, and into the house. He’s a real Rufus dog.
Video 3 – Emergency care in the hospital lobby.
Yes, we know that the hospitals are there to help us get well. But what if… what if… you just make it barely in time? What if you are so sick that you cannot make the ER or ICU? What then?
Well, surgery and emergency procedures will need to take place in the most inconvenient places.
Video 4 – HK citizens capture and hold a “pro-democracy” protestor for the police.
Most people in America have no idea just how unpopular the terrorists are in HK. They are called “pro democracy” liberators by the American press, but that’s just propaganda because the entire movement is funded by the CIA managed NED. It’s part of a much larger global politics gambit.
Anyways, the regular day to day HK citizens absolutely do not like these kids setting fire to buildings, destroying malls, subways, and setting people on fire and hitting people on the head and killing them…
… here’s some people on the way to work that snagged one of those “protestors” who was bounding a Mainland Chinese person to a pole. The bystanders, stopped him. They unmasked him, and called the police to take him away.
You would never see this kind of thing in the United States. Americans have been accustomed to take the “shit” from the BLM and Antifa terrorists. The police just stand by watching, and if anyone reacts to the terrorists, the police arrest THEM instead.
In China, a traditional conservative nation, they just do not tolerate young thugs.
Video 5 – HK Citizens chase away a gang of “pro-democracy” protestors from blocking a major road.
Here’s another video. Some of these “protestors” are trying to block traffic, causing the delay of people going to work during rush hour. The HK citizens aren’t having any of that. They stop their actions and chase them away…
Rufus prevents events from spiraling out of control.
Video 6 – HK police give fair warning to some “pro democracy” protestors that are starting to organize before a riot.
During riots, the NED set up stockpiles of gas masks, weapons, and set up communication points. But, don’t you know, all communication is monitored by the police, and so they know who is behind all this and who is sponsoring the event. So the police come out and offer fair warning to the organizers and participants.
Fair warning.
Again, you would never see this in the United States. The police would shoot first and ask questions later. And, people (!) you know this is true.
The Rufus gives fair warning and avoids violence.
Video 7 – Local citizens stop a mugger.
If you are driving along, and you see someone rob or steal, what would you do? Pretend nothing happened? Ignore the event? Or, would you take matters in your own hands, stop the car… get out and stop the crime?
Be the Rufus.
Video 8 – Stranger gives CPR to delivery man in distress.
When someone is in trouble, would you drop everything and come to their aide, or would you pretend that it’s none of your business? Be the Rufus. Make a difference.
Video 9 – Bus driver secures the safety of his passengers before he collapses.
Here’s a bus driver. He is having a problem. Maybe a stroke. Maybe a heart attack. Something. What ever, he pulls off to the side of the road. He tells everyone to get out, and then exits and collapses right there on the pavement.
He put the lives of others before himself. He was the Rufus.
Video 10 – Subway doors trap a girl like a vise.
In general, Chinese subways are new, modern and state of the art. As such, they are very safe. Yet, like everything else, things and accidents happen and often it is an unfortunate person who wasn’t expecting anything that gets caught up and trapped in a bad situation.
Like this…
Conclusion
We do not know when the calling will come. However, when it calls, you must take action.
It will not make you wealthy, rich, famous, or attractive.
However, it will make a difference when you are judged upon death. Be the Rufus. Make a difference. Help others. It’s our highest calling.

Video 1 – ATM robbery
You are minding your own business. You are in an ATM kiosk and are waiting in line while the chick in front of you withdraws some money. But, hey! You notice something. There’s a guy beside her with a knife! And he is robbing her directly… right there! In front of you, the other customers and is not afraid of him being filmed by the cameras!
What would YOU do?
Video 2 – Child falls into a manhole.
So, yeah. It’s an average day. You are out shopping, and you know what? You see this little girl disappearing right in front of you! What are you going to do?
What would you do?
Video 3 – Little girl falls off the back of a scooter.
A little girl falls off the back of the scooter, and her mother rides off into the sunset. The girl, terrified and afraid wanders about. What would you do? Would you help her out?
Would YOU help her?
Notice that no only did the other woman on the scooter stop, but the white car did as well. He opened up the door and offered to take the little girl home.
Video 4 – Crazed knife attacker.
You are having a nice quick lunch in a restaurant. Suddenly out of the blue this guy comes running inside the restaurant shouting “God is great!” in some strange language. That’s odd enough, but he’s waving around a cleaver and is heading towards the back of the restaurant. Yikes!
What are you going to do?
Video 5 – Fire at a gas station.
We’ve all stopped to fill our cars with gas. But what happens when the truck next to your car catches on fire? What would you do? Here is what happens when well-trained station attendants spring into action…
Video 6 – Frightened baby.
Not all heroes wear tights, have capes and fly through the skies. Often the environment around us just needs a little bit of help; more smiles, a kind word or some encouragement. Check out what this doctor does to sooth the fears of this child…
Video 7 – Helping the old man cross the street.
Crossing the streets in China are often quite trying. Cars zoom back and forth Indy-500 style. No one seems to give a Rat’s Ass about pedestrians. Never the less, not everyone has a car, and you do have to cross the street. Even when you are 99 years old.
What would you do? Honk the horn and yell “Hey old man! Get the fuck out of my way, ya old geezer!”, or would you be the Rufus…
Be . The . Rufus .
Video 8 – Returning a wallet.
Kindness and being fair and just is what defines us. Contrary to what Hollywood, and Washington DC can make us believe, there are good people in the world. It’s just that they avoid publicity and operate quietly in silence and secrecy.
Be the Rufus.
Video 9 – Stranger collapses on the street.
You are walking to your car. Then you notice this body in the street off the parking lot. It’s limp. Dead. Not moving. What are you going to do?
Be the Rufus!
Video 10 – Know the full story.
Life is not black and white. It is full of grey areas, and it is up to us to individually determine where the to place the line that makes things black and white. But, we must know the full story first. We cannot rely on your eyes and ears, and certainly CANNOT rely on the news-babe on television. The truth is often elusive.
Do not judge others unless you know their full story.
Do not judge. Know the full story.
Conclusion
We do not know when the calling will come. However, when it calls, you must take action.
No. It will not make you wealthy, rich, famous, or attractive.
However, it will make a difference when you are judged upon death. Be the Rufus.

This post describes some stories of personal heroism. Included are some micro-videos that depict some acts of heroism. I personally believe that inside all us, we all can be a hero. We just need to take on the mantle when needed and go forth and do what is necessary.

Emergency in route to the hospital.
Sometimes it’s part of our job. Like when you are a hospital worker like a doctor or a nurse. Sometimes it isn’t. You are just an innocent bystander minding your own business. But when you are called, what are you going to do?
Neighbors
Sometimes it’s just you and a neighbor down the street is in crisis. You need to go out and forth and help them out. Ar you up for it? Can you lend a hand to the best of your ability. Or will you try to cover your face so you can ignore the problem like a coward.
You get friends and you all work together. You help. You do what ever is necessary. Be a man!
You alone
Sometimes you are alone. No one is there to help you out. You are on your own. What are you going to do? Seconds matter. Are you going to wait on the sidelines. What would you do?
Notice the others, totally oblivious to what is transpiring next to them.
Rescue a person in distress
You are at a train station, or a stop. You check you phone and are waiting for the train to pull in, when you see someone crawl onto the tracks to kill themselves. What are you going to do? Let them die? Or are you going to risk your own life to save theirs? Be the Rufus.
Notice the others. Too little. Too late.
Baby fallen into the icy cold water
What will you do if you see a baby in icy cold water in January? Would you pull out your phone and call the police, or dive right on it and save the kid? A hero would stop thinking and risk his own life to save the baby.
Notice the others milling around with their hands in their pockets. Useless.

Life is about living and obtaining experiences. It really and actually is. If you are not out “there” living life to it’s fullest, making friends, helping others, and raising a little bit of “Heck”, then you are wasting your life.
Here, we look at others who are making their life count. They are making a difference in the lives of those around them. They are contributing and participating in life. They are the heroes.
When life SCREAMS out your name, will you answer? Will you answer the call, like these people did?
Rufus was the name of the good Samaritan that helped Jesus carry his
cross up the hill. In life, there comes, from time to time, an
opportunity or a task that SCREAMS out YOUR name. You drop everything
and you go out and help others.

Little girl trapped in the middle of a frantically busy street during rush hour…
Like this man. He’s driving along the road on his way to work, when
suddenly he sees a lost and terrified child in the middle of a busy
intersection during rush hour. What would you do?
Watch what he does.
Your reality is all up to YOU.
Be the Rufus.
A tale from World War I
The following story appears in Eugene Rogan’s Fall of the Ottomans. It reinforces an idea I have long subscribed to, which is that the fates of men are linked by the Chain of Fortune.
Private Robert Eardley was serving at Gallipoli with the Lancashire
Fusiliers. In August 1915 his unit conducted an attack on Turkish lines
near the Krithia road; he survived the attack and managed to reach the
Ottoman trenches relatively unscathed. Leaping into the enemy trench,
he saw a British soldier with bayonet fixed standing over a fallen,
wounded Turk. The soldier was hot with the heat of battle, and wanted
to plunge his bayonet into the man. “Here, you get out of my way,” he
told Eardley. “He has killed my mate and I am going to stick him.”
Eardley, feeling pity for the fallen foe, was persistent. He managed to
talk his comrade out of killing the wounded man. He said: “Put
yourself in his place, chum. One never knows…Don’t do it. That’s a
good fellow.” The soldier eventually accepted this argument and
relented, storming off with a scowl. Eardley remained with the wounded
Turk in the trench.
The two of them could not speak each other’s language, but they did
manage to communicate in a primitive way. Eardley dressed the enemy’s
head wound, gave him some water and tobacco, and propped him up in the
trench with his coat. “I could see by his eyes that he appreciated the
kindness,” he would later write.
Soon afterward, however, the tides of battle had turned. An Ottoman
counterattack drove the British back to their original lines. Eardley
was left to cover the retreat, but was captured by Turkish infantry as
they retook the trench. As he looked over the parapet of the trench, he
was pierced by the fixed bayonet of an attacking Turk. He wrote: “I
felt a sharp piercing sensation—a burning feeling at the back of my left
shoulder. I knew I had got the bayonet…I distinctly felt the thrust
and drawing out.” He passed out from loss of blood as dozens of Turks
overran his position. When Eardley regained consciousness, he found
himself surrounded by enemy soldiers with fixed bayonets, their eyes
ablaze with hate.
They began to lower their bayonets and move steadily toward him. He
was sure that he had come to the end of the road. Then, suddenly, he
heard a voice crying out from among the enemy gathered before him. A
Turkish man with a bandaged head, jabbering unceasingly in his native
language, leaped between Eardley and the rest of the soldiers. Although
he was still weak, he wrapped his arms around Eardley, covering him
with his body, while gesticulating wildly with his comrades. In his
dazed state, Eardley finally realized: this was the same man whose life
he had saved in the first attack.
A Turkish noncommissioned officer finally arrived on the scene, and
the wounded Turk explained the situation to him. Eardley could not
understand what was being said, but it was clear that the Turk he had
saved was now trying to save his life. After a few minutes of
discussion, the noncommissioned officer said to Eardley in broken
English: “English, get up. No one will harm you. You would have died
if only for this soldier. You gave him water, you gave him smoke, and
you stop bleed. You very good Englishman.” He then patted Eardley on
the back.
As he was being led away into captivity, Eardley shook hands with his
savior, with whom he could not communicate. But all that needed to be
said was said with their eyes, and with their physical touch. “I shook
hands with this Turk (and would give all I possessed to see this man
again). As our hands clasped, I could see he understood, for he lifted
his eyes and called ‘Allah’ and then kissed me. I can feel this kiss
even now on my cheek as if it was branded there or was part of my
blood.” The two men parted, and never saw each other again.
In such ways, and through such fortuitous interventions, are the
fates of men linked by the all-powerful Chain of Fortune. It links all
human affairs with its own unfathomable logic, which we dare not
disregard.
Baby has his hand caught in the escalator…
It’s a crowded mall, people go up and then down the escalator. They you look over and you see a “commotion” on the escalator. You only have seconds. What do you do?
You be the Rufus.
Every escalator has an off button at both the top and the bottom of the machine. Look for it. Know that it is there. If something goes wrong, you spring into action. Make no mistake, it’s your time.
When your time is called, be the Rufus.
Man has a heart attack in the car, and passes out with his foot on the gas…
When things go wrong you don’t know what is happening. You don’t know the reasons. You don’t know the causes. All that you know is that something is terribly wrong. Really, absolutely wrong.
You be the Rufus.
You spring into action. It’s now YOUR time.
You do not think. You do not reason. You react automatically and you take action.
Imagine for a second that you get a text from your brother saying
that he’s inside a mall that has been attacked by terrorists. He expects
to die any second. What do you do? If you’re Abdul Haji, the answer is
grab a gun, drive to the mall, and single-handedly take on those terrorists.
A Kenyan of Somali ethnicity, Abdul unwittingly charged headlong into
Kenya’s ongoing battle with Al-Shabab militants from neighboring
Somalia. The terrorist attack in question was the infamous Nairobi
Westgate Mall assault in 2013 which killed 67. The death toll would have
been even higher were it not for Abdul.
A businessman with a pistol license, Abdul took his weapon to the mall and opened fire on the Islamic militants with no thought for his own safety. At the time, security forces were nowhere to be seen.
Abdul was joined by a handful of plainclothes officers and some
medics from the Red Cross. Their ragtag group went from floor to floor
of the mall. They gave cover to trapped civilians and helped them to
escape.
At one point, Abdul managed to save a four-year-old girl and her
mother who were hiding literally inches from the jihadists, shielded
only by a single table. He even managed to find his brother, who
miraculously survived the attack. To this day, the modest Abdul denies
being a hero.
Car catches on fire in the middle of the road…
So, it’s a normal day. You are driving along. Suddenly you notice smoke coming out of a van and the driving is erratic. What would you do? Would you take control like this lady does?
Would you be the Rufus?
She does what she can, you know.
In China, most doors auto-lock if the car is in drive. So if the driver is incapacitated, you cannot open the doors to rescue him. Not so for the rear hatch doors, though.
She springs into action and opens up the rear hatch. But there is already boxes on fire. What to do, what to do?
You be the Rufus.
Police in “Hot Pursuit”, do you stand by as a spectacular or do you assist?
So, you are in an airport or train station. You look up and see a police woman running after a young man dressed in black. What do you do? Do you stand and watch idly by? Do you try to assist?
What do you do?
You, be the Rufus.
Yes. You be the Rufus.
It is our responsibility as men; as humans. It is what a “good Christian” does. We are responsible of our life and we should be helpful and protective to those around us in need.
On Being The Rufus…
We need to stop judging others, and live our own life to the best of our ability. We need to realize that we can make a great difference in this world if we just concentrate in bettering the life immediately around us. That means that we turn off all the negative news, and isolate ourselves away from the negative people.
We need to stop looking at the outside, and study the insides of the people that has the great impact on our life, and the lives of those we care about.
In the above, the term “auntie” means “low-paid worker”. It is a title of respect given to un-skilled or under-paid workers. It’s difficult to read, but the translation of the dialog is in white characters in the video.

You would NEVER see any of this in the Western press, but the Chinese tend to be very helpful and socially consciousness. If you know any Chinese personally, whether it is at your church, or in your school, you can attest that they work hard, study hard and tend to be great friends.
Well, they also will come to your rescue when necessary.
Here’s some videos that illustrate this fact.
This one is a truck driver that lends a hand when an ambulance was involved in a car accident…
Here is a compilation of other instances of people helping others or saving their lives.
The Underground World
China has become a nation of underground tunneling critters. They have built hundreds of these huge tunneling machines and use them to construct subways and passages from one building to another.

Today you can see various ethnic groups posting themselves in traditional attire and singing contemporaneous (but regional) pop songs. I think that it is outstanding. Check it out…
Here’s another from a different region.
And of course, the Han Chinese…
OK. At these micro-videos, let’s move to the next part of this multi-part post…

Contemporaneous Chinese Music
This is a series of posts that discuss contemporaneous popular music
in China. It is a wide ranging and broad spectrum of travel, and at
that, all that I am able to provide is the flimsiest of overviews.
However, this series of posts should serve as a great starting place for
investigation and enjoyment.
